After Xie Ning finished eating, the diet room sent over the noodles that the emperor had requested. The meal table was brought in, and the main dish was still noodles, but the emperor's meal could not be as simple as Beauty Xie's.

The noodles were served in a sand pot, and when stirred, the good ingredients settled at the bottom and floated up with the broth. Diced beef, ham, enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, shrimp, dried tofu, diced bamboo shoots... together with these ingredients came a particularly strong aroma.

The emperor did not expect the scent to be so strong and considered moving the meal outside in order to avoid the lingering smell in the room. Xie Ning couldn't stand those foul odours the most now.

"It's okay, you can eat here, no need to move around," Xie Ning said. She had already eaten a bowl of noodles, but smelling the aroma of the newly served noodles made her feel a bit hungry again.
