5.Beginning of Exam and Killing Qi Condensation Beast

Three people walked in with aloof aura's as they sat down, it was a young boy and two girls.

They were speaking about the upcoming trial for the famous Yongqipai Sword Sect, "how many people are taking the examination this year? One of the girls asked.

"It should be around 5,000 people coming from each side of the whole Bing County" the boy said, he looked around the same age as Han Qin.

Han Qin listened in to their conversation as it provided a lot of information, "the exam is happening tomorrow so all of us should be prepared", the other girl said.

With no more information coming in from listening to their conversation, Han Qin got up and walked out, he roamed the streets of Pang Town as, "since it's happening tomorrow, I'm gonna book a room for a day".

He walked into this building and asked for a room in which he was provided the far left room.

The next morning Han Qin got up, he changed into a clean set of black robes he then walked downstairs giving the keys to the man as he walked out, 'the examination is going to take place in an open field right outside the Yongqipai Sword Sect gate' Han Qin thought as he walked seeing a vast crowd of young boys and girls all looking between the ages of 10-14.

Some families with higher status had carriages in which were parked in what seemed to be the V.I.P section, Han Qin walked towards as tree at the back.

He sat down with his sword next to him, closing his eyes he waited for it to begin, "is that Tian Wei?" The crowd start making a commotion.

It seemed they knew they young man walking forwards, he had brown hair, blue eyes and had a stature of 5'6, Han Qin opened his eyes, as he did he and Tian Wei locked eyes.

For a brief moment Tian Wei stopped his stride but proceeded to walk towards a corner.

After his arrival, more well known kids arrived as they all stood separately.

"Hello, guys thank you all for coming to our trials", a tall man walked up to them with a smile, "as you know, it's time for us to recruit new talent"

The man looked at the 50,000 you kids standing as he smiled, "let's begin, the first test is to test bone age and you're current cultivation".

Then tables appeared with Yongqipai disciples sitting down, a line soon formed at each table as they started checking bone age.

After a while it was Tian Wei's turn, he walked up an stuck his hand out letting the disciple scan him, "bone age: 11", "cultivation, 8th level of body refinement".

The disciple then said "pass", with Tian Wei being led inside the gate.

After an hour it was Han Qin's turn, "bone age, 10", "cultivation, 6th level of body refinement", "pass", Han Qin then was led inside.

As he walked in he saw a platform, full of kids.

After the first test was over, the man walked towards the platform as he said "with the first test being over , only 10,000 of you have been eliminated" "that's better than previous years".

"Now the second test is going to be held in a forest, to assess your survival skills", he then took them to the forest entrance.

As they walked there, Han Qin saw the three kids from yesterday, the boy had long hair in a ponytail, grey eyes and a sharp jawline, the two girls were beauty's.

The girl to his left's eyes where pink going along with her pink hair with the girl to the right having blonde hair and purple eyes, they were drawing attention from the crowd with some young boys being jealous of the kid in between them.

As Han Qin scanned them three, the pink haired girl caught his eyes, "his Handsome!", her eyes widened as she blushed due to Han Qin's flawless appearance.

During the whole examination Han Qin felt a lot of stares, some with jealousy as he sighed knowing the cause, his then silver hair had returned to black, his eyes shone with silver brilliance as his face seemed like it was carved by a master craftsman.

His body was lean, with his cold indifferent aura adding to his overall attraction.

As the pink haired girl avoided his gaze, Han Qin caught Tian Wei staring at him with a light smile, Han Qin not bothering to return the smile looked away.

This took back Tian Wei as nobody ever ignored him before, but he didn't take it to heart.

"Now, you all will stay in there for three days as you hunt wild beasts you will have had to kill 10 8th level body refinement beasts to proceed, their cultivation will go up to the peak of body refinement".

"Fret not, we elders will be watching so no casualties happen, if you can't fight the beast, it's best if you run away".

Then they let the young kids go in with Han Qin walking nonchalantly in his cold aura preventing anyone from speaking to him even if they wanted to.

"Hey, you" a voice came from behind, with Han Qin turning around, his cold eyes startled the blonde girl that stood behind Tian Wei, "I see you're by yourself, do you want to team up?".

"No", Han Qin then walked away, "hmph, his rude, Tian Wei why would you invite him?" The blonde girl spoke.

"Fu Mingxia, it's not good to curse people behind their backs", Tian Wei said smiling back at her.

"But his so rude, you were kind enough to invite him".

"Just because I invited him doesn't mean he has to accept" Tian Wei said as he walked eastward with both girls following him.

Han Qin spotted a beast at the eighth level of body refinement, he jumped above it as he punched it's head in, caving it's skull, "the other contestants will find this difficult, not every body can jump levels like me".

The average battle power of a cultivator was fighting in their level, if a cultivator was at the seventh level of body refinement, then they could only fight against seventh level body refinement cultivators.

Only geniuses could cross levels to fight higher level cultivators.

Han Qin proceeded to kill 5 more beasts making his total tally 6 killed beasts, infront of a mirror one of the elders looking at Han Qin said, "oh we've got another genius" "yeah, the way his killing the beasts is relatively easily".

"But for geniuses like him there's a hiding test, I wonder how he'll fair against the first level Qi condensation beast lurking in the forest".

"Elder Feng, just make sure it doesn't run rampant in the forest, we have a decent batch this year" another elder said.

"No worries, I'll keep it in check" Elder Feng replied.

As Han Win easily kills all the eighth level beasts he found he soon got bored, he then sat on top of a tree as he waited for the time to end.

But he heard a powerful growl eastwards, "huh?, that's a Qi condensation beast, what's it doing in this test" Han Qin thought as he ran towards it.

As he arrived he saw the beast fighting against Tian Wei but he looked injured both the girls were knocked out.

"I can't let this beast kill them!" Tian Wei gritted his teeth as he held his sword, his eyes were blurry.

'Why is this beast so strong his not at the ninth level, if he was I could take him on'Tian Wei thought.

The beast then clawed Tian Wei is it sent him flying into a tree, "ugh!" Tian Wei spat out blood as he started getting up.

Han Qin seeing this stood on top of the tree, "I can fight against ninth level body refinement cultivators, but I'm not sure about Qi condensation".

Han Qin got excited at the thought of fighting a beast stronger than him, he looked at Tian Wei's sorry state and thought 'I couldn't careless if he died, but this might be a test from the elders', Han Qin contemplated for a few minutes.

"Ahh, whatever I'll just kill this beast" he then dashed at the beast throwing a punch at it's guts, the beast off guard failed to react as Han Qin sent it stumbling.

With his sword still in it's scabbard he threw it in the air, running at the beast as they exchanged punches, "I can only fight it using my full strength, body's alone I'm more powerful, but the Qi makes up for this deficiency making it overpower me".

Han Qin then roundhouse kicked it into the air, he then leapt up to his spinning sheathed sword grabbing it, "Flambé Ice Sword Art, first move, Glacier slash!" The temperature dropped around the surroundings.

As cold aura burst out of from Han Qin, this frightened the beast, with his sheathed sword he swung at the beast's head decapitating it.

"Thank god it's not smart, otherwise this would have been a lot more difficult".

"WHAT!!", the elders were shocked, "he can jump 4 levels?!", it was shocking as they only had 4 people in the entire sect that could jump three or more levels.

"His a genius, did you see his sword strike, that was beautifully executed", elder Feng said, "indeed, that sword strike was amazing".

Han Qin then picked up the beast's remains as he walked off, "t-thank you" he heard Tian Wei say as he collapsed, "whoever saved us, I'll repay this gratitude", Tian Wei said leaning against a tree during Han Qin's fight, Tian Wei couldn't watch due to the pressure being emitted by both the fighters.

He only saw Han Qin's back as he picked up the beast's remains.
