"I was careless."
The beast's attack flew me through the air and crashed into a tree.
Luckily, I was able to minimize the damage thanks to my mana art. My mana art allowed me to create a barrier around my body. If I didn't have my mana art I would have broken into two pieces.
Shh!!
Clenching my longsword I looked at the beast, Who was menacingly looking at me. Its jaw was slightly parted revealing its sharp teeth.
"Rino like bast*rd."
I was nervous, because of the beast's excessive defense properties. It was a big challenge especially when the beast was wounded.
A wounded beast was way more dangerous than a completely fine beast.
Right now it will fight to the death.
Only one of us is allowed to live today. I also needed to kill that beast fast before other monsters came rushing here.
I began to circle the beast, dashing from one side to another. I was trying to find an opening in its defense.
The beast was massive and its thick, armored hide seemed almost impenetrable.
But I was confident that I would be able to kill it, the beast was massive and since I was small compared to him, I was fast. So I can kill it.
As I circled the beast, it seemed that its attention was solely focused on me. It seemed to have forgotten about the wound on its side.
I sprang into action, I leaped towards the beast with all my might. I thrust my longsword towards the beast's side, aiming for the wounded area.
The beast let out a roar as my sword pierced its flesh. I realized that I had struck a vital spot.
I twisted my sword, causing it even more damage to the creatures inside.
Thud!!
The beast used its superior size and was about to crush me with its entire body but I managed to evade the attack, by kicking the ground and retreating.
The red blood that gushed from the wound stained the grass around it. Creating a bloody scene.
I kept circling the beast, striking it, slashing it with my longsword. I wounded it in every possible way possible. I kept dodging its attack with my agility as the beast continuously tried to attack me.
The durable armor of the beast had started to crack. Due to attacking it in the same place multiple times.
Even if the beast was stronger than me, right now it is injured and with me being an F rank the beast's armor couldn't withstand attacks that target its weak points all the time.
The armor, no matter how durable it was, proved to be no match for my continuous strikes.
Crack!!
Finally, after striking it multiple times a plate covering the beast's injured side shattered, revealing a gruesome wound beneath it. The sight was enough to turn the stomach of most humans but it was something that Sam was okay with since he saw things worse than this.
I knew that the beast wouldn't survive much longer, but he couldn't afford to linger. The sound of our battle has already started to attract other monsters present in the jungle.
I needed to finish this fight, kill this beast and escape before other monsters came to kill both him and the beast.
I gritted my teeth as I continued my assault on the beast, I was determined to kill this beast once and for all. I had come too far to let this opportunity slip through my fingers.
The beast roared in pain and frustration as my sword continuously slashed its body and started to dig deeper into its wounds, causing more and more damage with each successive attack. Its thick armoured body was no match for my precision and strength. I was wounding it continuously.
The beast started to show signs of weakness.
Despite its size and power, the beast was no match for Sam. Who had experience in a lot of fights? Sam survived in a harsh and unforgiving world. Even though he never fought a monster, he knew how to take it down with his pure instinct.
The same instinct he got fighting for his life in his previous world.
As the battle raged on, I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins, fueling my movements and sharpness. I was regaining my instincts.
I was a blur of motion dodging and weaving around the beast and striking it with deadly precision whenever I saw an opening.
Despite the damage I was causing, I knew that this fight was far from over. The beast was formidable because, despite the damage I caused it, it was still standing. So I knew it would take every ounce of my strength to bring it down.
Even in this situation, I was not afraid. I faced countless challenges in my past life and I knew the place I was targeting would be tougher than this one.
But I had the mentality and determination to see through to the end of this battle.
As time flew by, my determination only grew stronger. I would not let this beast stand in my way. I will kill it and go forward.
Ahhhhhh!
With a fierce cry, I renewed my attack, striking the beast with all the strength I could muster.
My sword pierced deep into the wound, making the beast tremble.
The beast let out a roar as it stumbled and fell to its knees. Its strength finally gave out.
Huh!!!!!
I stood over the defeated beast, panting and sweating and drenched in blood. I had won the battle. I won against a monster that I fought for the first time.
I gazed down at the beast, I couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness. The beast was strong, it was a worthy opponent.
Since it was my first hunt it took me a lot of time.
Other monsters around the area surely have been attracted by the sound of my battle. I needed to escape before other monsters came here.
With one last look at the dead beast, Sam ran towards his base. Soon he disappeared into the wilderness with the sound of his footsteps echoing in his ears…..
