Stepping out of the apartment, Raven was startled to find Alaric standing next to Gani. They were leaning against Gani's car, engaged in what seemed like a relaxed conversation.

Upon seeing Raven, Alaric's smile widened, his eyes sparkling with happiness. Alaric and Gani abruptly halted their discussion, both gazing at Raven with a discerning look, scanning him from head to toe.

Despite knowing that Alaric had a job tonight, their scrutinizing looks made Raven feel like something was off.

"What are you doing here?" Raven asked, his curiosity piqued, trying to understand the sudden attention from the two in front of him.

Alaric, without giving a direct answer, touched Raven's shoulder and inspected him carefully. "Are you okay?" Alaric asked, his tone filled with genuine concern.

Raven replied icely, "I'm fine," while handing over a stun gun and a panic alarm button to Gavin.
