2 ⟩ In which the demon found a job and...

Lucian wandered through the streets hoping for something to catch his eye, and at last something, or rather someone managed to catch his eyes.

It was a brunette dressed in adventurers leather gear, a emarald trinket hanging around her neck. Her plump lips, brown eyes and curvy body was a definite invitation to Lord of Lust to dine on.

There she sat among a group of brutes laughing and giggling while sipping on her ale. He smirked, it was high time that he find himself some job. For even as a demon doing magic got borring real fast. After all where was fun in that; if he just moved around with no one bothering him or outright ignoring him.

Lucian walked inside the restaurant and towards the group of five only now noticing that another beauty sat there. Short, a bit too much, with pink hair and amythest purple eyes. Her cone shaped witch's hat was the reason he had missed her entirely. He felt thrilled, 'man not using my magic and abilities is so fun.'

"Hello good sir and madam, would you mind if I joined you." Ok maybe a little bit of magic was necessary, as the charm he applied slipped past their notice and suddenly to them the stranger appeared unnaturally pleasant.

"Yes of course, please have a seat." It was the young witch who offered him a easing smile, though Lucian didn't miss her eyes trailing his figure. His own dark leather gear blended him with the party of five that no would have bothered to pay any attention, which unfortunately his face robbed him off of.

"Thank you for your hospitality. You see I am new around here and was hoping that maybe you could help me, if it isn't too much trouble."

The man with a sword to his waist sipped on his cup of tea and said, "it's alright, you are an adventurer right?"

"Yes."

"I understand, we also faced such problems when we first started, so we don't mind sharing some of our experience." He glanced at the tall bloke with a axe on his back, who put his small sized barrel drink on the table and continued instead, " yeah, we know how rough it can be around here, but first let me introduce others."

The tall and huge man pointed at the man beside him, the one who had spoken to Lucian before and said in rugged voice, "This is our melle fighter and damage dealer, a copper tier warrior, Herbert." Moving to the brunette he said, "This is also our damage dealer who specialises in stealth and assassination techniques; Izora, also copper tier and the one with pointy hat is our party healer, Serene who despite looking like a witch she ain't no goddamn wizard, and the quite kid over there is Kyle, he's our mage. And me, well I am the party tank and leader, my name is Ruggard. The only one in the Iron tier here."

"How about you?"

Lucian smiled as the intimidating man asked him. "My name is Lucian, I specialise in dealing damage like Herbert over there, my main prefered weapon is a mace though."

"Oh, a mace, intresting choice of weapon given your build and all." Ruggard nodded with a thoughtful expression.

"Well I am still new and just entered the copper tier myself. I was hoping you would show me the ropes around here."

The tall brunette eyed him with gleaming intrest and Lucian didn't miss the chance to wink at her, who surprisingly remained nonchalant.

Serene, the healer who looked like a witch nibbled at her soft candies and spoke, "since you are in a copper tier and an adventurer without party, how about joining us." As soon the she finished speaking, a sharp voice came from the quite kid, Kyle. "Serene?!"

"What? It's not like he is a demon in disguise or anything, why are you so freaking out."

"He is right, little witch, we don't known much about the gentleman here. No offense Lucian."

Lucian waved his hand with a calm expression and said, "none taken."

Then his gaze turned towards the quite kid with short black hair, a gleam of intrest flickering in his eyes. This kid managed to resist his charm, even if ultra low quality one, this was getting intresting.

"Well I don't think I can ask you to let me join you, so how about you teach me to be an adventurer and how to hunt, and I offer you twenty silvers everyday in return. If by the end of the week, you still don't want me to join, I will search for another party."

Ruggard turned to his party members discussing over the proposal. Since they were getting paid, the party didn't think of it as a waste of time.

"All right, we agree but you have to pay upfront and you have to follow every instruction we give you, failure in meeting the requirements will be considered the breach of the agreement and there will be no refunds."

Lucian smiled at the brunette who put her hand forth and fiddled with his pockets while weaving a small spell.

A small portion of silvers disappeared from the vault at the gates in which the guards gathered the entrance fee and appeared in his pocket.

He confidently took out the coins that gleamed metalic and put them on her hand, while accidentally brushing her fingers all the while keeping an eye contact with her.

The brunette broke the stare first glancing at the silver In her palm. Herbert mumbled under his breath, "Rich kid."

Ruggard locked eyes with Izora who nodded back at him and he looked back at the still somewhat stranger, who might join their party in the feature and said, "All right kid, since you want more than advice and are willing to pay, then we will help you to the best of our abilities. Meet us here at noon, we needed to make some preparations."

"All right, i will be waiting here." Lucian had a good nurtured smiled the whole time while he spoke with the man. He waved the at the party as they left the doors and ordered some steak and alcohol to feast upon.
