Chapter 8: Hard Time

(Somewhere in the outskirts of Tokyo, there was unknown organization in that place. They was a meeting head by just three people which were assassins)

1ST MAN: Those of you who think this job can't worked effectively, then you are trying to deprived this mission.

2ND MAN: If only we follow orders. But for now, we can't do anything we are subordinate.

1ST MAN: Not in this type of situation, We still haven't finished yet.

NATE: (Came in) Tell me why are you such in a haste.

1ST MAN: What... And who are you?

NATE: Your superiors. Are you surprised?

2ND MAN: How old are you?

3RD MAN: And how do you get into the conference room with many guards outside?

NATE: What a drag, I don't get why all the questions.

TASHA: Naive guys like you aren't supposed to go. Leave us to do.

1ST MAN: Who are you calling...?

2ND MAN: Yes you can. Superiors are the one who handles the matter in his mission. (Whispers to the 1st man) It's better than causing troubles.

1ST MAN: Tch!

TASHA: Our job here is to eliminate manipulators... hmm just for fun. (They left)

NATE: By the way, this assignment was assigned by master to kill someone. You don't need to know the person since we do. (The men were surprised)

TASHA: Yeah.

(The 1st man which was the hot-headed growled his displeasure at Nate and brought out his sword to kill him but Nate stabs him on the stomach with his sword. The man vomited out blood and Nate smiles. The man was frozen as the rest of them were shocked while Tasha smiles)

NATE: Very good of you who tries to kill your superior. Why don't we handle it here and see yourself in the other side. (Brings out the sword and the man fell. He shakes his sword once to remove the blood) Oh well I do hate naive guys.

TASHA: Sure you do brother.

(A man was surprised as he sees them leaving)

3RD MAN: Are these the Leighton siblings master promised to assigned?

(Kaaru was in his room doing his assignment and didn't know what to do after he got hook up in a maths question. He insisted that he is going to do it later and he went downstairs. He suddenly smells an aroma coming from the Kitchen. He knows that Junri was cooking and went there to assist her. She was cracking the eggs and puts them in the pan for frying)

KAARU: You mean a hand.

JUNRI: Ain't you supposed to be doing your assignment?

KAARU: I'll do it later.

JUNRI: That's okay. I can handle it.

KAARU: You sure. You really look like you mean a hand.

JUNRI: Okay. Just grab the knife and help me chop the green onions.

KAARU: Okey-dokey. (He opens the cupboard, brought out the knife, and then goes to bring the green onions and started chopping)

JUNRI: Thank you... Kaaru I'm really worried about you.

KAARU: Why?

JUNRI: You haven't discover the incident of what happened to you from the accident. I think we should go back to the hospital and quickly run the test.

KAARU: What! (As he was surprised and mistakenly cut his finger with the knife) Ow!

JUNRI: Kaaru are you okay? (Later she treated his finger with her first aid as she uses the cotton wool to gently touch the injury and then tied it with bandage) This will help.

KAARU: (Looks at the bandage finger)

JUNRI: You can't help me with that your finger. So I'm going to do it. (She went to the kitchen and stopped) Oh and Kaaru you were surprised after I told you that we should run the test.

KAARU: Um... I'm fine, nothing is wrong with me just like the doctor said.

JUNRI: But if only we know what really happened to you?

KAARU: I said I'm fine! (Junri was surprised to see the way he shouted at her) I'm sorry. It's just that I'm afraid to go to the hospital.

JUNRI: I know. It's okay then (Heads straight to the kitchen)

(A few minutes later Kaaru rested on the couch. He looks at the ceiling for some while now and got up to meet Junri in the kitchen. He stood frozen as he sees her cooking in intense)

KAARU: She has never cooked like this before (As she thought) So what's all this? Are you expecting somebody?

JUNRI: Of course I am. He will be coming for a visit tomorrow.

KAARU: He (As he sounded it strange)

JUNRI: Yes. Anyway, he is my regular customer and he decided to come pay a visit. He wanted to know more about me since we have something in common.

KAARU: In common, you say.

JUNRI: Yes (As she sprinkled some seasonings inside the boiling pot)

KAARU: What is it?

JUNRI: Um... We both love reading. Yes... That's it.

KAARU: That's strange, Junri has never invited someone not even her relatives. And now is a "he" And why is she cooking now since he's coming tomorrow? (As he thoughts of it) Hmm I bet she's in love.

(Back to the Leighton siblings, they were on a building watching down to find manipulators. Tasha was watching the people while Nate was reading a book)

TASHA: It seems difficult to find them but how about we kill humans instead some are no good, most of them in this city are criminals.

NATE: Whatever you say. Humans live up to their sins, there's no need for them to live again. (He close his book)

TASHA: (Surprised and then smiled) You act like you don't sin, brother.

NATE: (Chuckles) I don't know if I do. Sin is like blood that flows through the vein and it will be difficult to us to control it.

TASHA: (She saw a boy running in a strange manner as if he is been chased by someone and she suspected him) Bro, someone's running at the west.

NATE: (He saw him and smiled) Bingo. Human it is. (Jumps down from the building)

TASHA: Brother wait!

NATE: This is going to be fun. I hope I can test myself how strong I am. (He chases the boy. The boy looked at him surprised and covered his face with his hood)

(Tasha meets Nate as the two were both running)

TASHA: Nate! You should be careful and stop being so reckless.

NATE: Tch! But it's okay anyway. (They both chased the boy till it was a dead end) Too late boy, this is the end. (Points his gun at him) Now put your hands up.

(The boy raise up his hand and runs with speed)

TASHA: What, where did he go? (Was shocked and saw the boy at Nate's back) Nate behind you! (The boy kicks him and Nate slam himself to a wall) Nate! (She runs to meet him)

NATE: Don't worry I'm fine.

TASHA: You sure?

NATE: (Thoughts) I wouldn't give up on this guy easily (Runs with speed and the two started to fight insanely. Nate was about to slice him but the boy dodge) He's fast. (The boy was about to kicked his face but Nate blocks it as he gains his stamina)

BOY: Not bad, You really got some moves. By the way, you are really intense.

NATE: (He pants) You... are not... bad... after all.

BOY: Just tell us who the heck are you two?

NATE: We will never talk...

TASHA: We are assassins sent by our master from the Aok.

NATE: (Surprised as he looked at her) Tasha.

BOY: The assassins of Aok and members of the blue tree.

NATE: How do you know?

BOY: (Laughs) Do you think I don't know what you two are up to. Two assassins strolling in the streets in Tokyo.

TASHA: We go out to fight bandits who comes our way

BOY: Is that so... Liars (They were surprised) You go around seeing if you have experience in fighting and killing.

NATE: (Thoughts) How does he know? This boy is no human.

TASHA: Alright you finally know now who are you?

YAMI: (Smiles) Yami.

NATE: We pretty talked much today... Yami but... (Brought out his sword and pointed him) It's time to end you for the sake of the blue tree and the Aok to stand.

YAMI: Hmm such an elegant talk. I'm really admired. (Jumped up and landed on a building) By the way, I really like you guys (He left)

NATE: He pissed me off.

TASHA: Me too, big brother.

(That night, Nate walks and saw his father from a distance, he smiled and ran to meet him)

NATE: Dad, you came back.

(His father turn his head backward and saw him as he smiled. Suddenly, blood started coming down from his head. Nate was in great shock, his father's body started to melt all of a sudden. Nate heart pounded so hard and gasped continuously as if it was difficult for him to breathe)

NATE: Dad... Dad!

(He woke up from his bed, gasped so hard as he touches his chest. He noticed that it was all a dream and he looks outside the window with his face looking sad)

NATE: (Thought) Dad I wonder when you are coming back.
