Chapter 15: Arms and Fire

(Finally Kaaru made it to the gunmen hideout. He observed the areas and surroundings and looked at where they were positioned safeguarding the place)

KAARU: Okay, the plan, take them down and save the girl, that's all.

(He jumped down and fought the two men safeguarding the back door. He beats them up and took them inside to hide their bodies. After that, he searches for the girl and found her. She was in a cage tied with ropes on her hands and her legs)

KAARU: Hey

GIRL: (Shocked to see his face)

KAARU: It's okay, you don't have to be afraid.

GIRL: Who are you?

KAARU: No time for that. I'm here to save you.

GIRL: I don't even know you.

KAARU: You are a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Ishida.

GIRL: How do you know?

KAARU: Because I'm on a mission to save you. Your family were killed by these gunmen and took you away. I'm I right?

GIRL: Yeah.

KAARU: So do you want me to save you? (The girl nodded her head) Alright (He tries to open it and uses heat to melt the padlock, and it open) What's your name?

JIN: Jin

KAARU: Okay, Jin. (So Kaaru carried her to his back and runs to look for a way out. He noticed that the door where he came in was lock and thought) They already know.

??: You have no place to escape. (A voice said as light spotted on him)

(Kaaru couldn't see anything as he tries to look for the voice. He turned around and saw a mysterious figure in front of him. He wore a white singlet and a black trouser. That figure was just staring fixedly at XO)

KAARU: What must be their boss, right?

??: Good thinking. (The figure face was revealed. He has a black hair and a broad lip anytime he smiles) I like you little fella (he said as he smiles) My name is Isogai.

KAARU: So what do you want now?

ISOGAI: Hmm, you are a little bit slight. (Looked at Jin) Just give us the girl and we will let you go free.

(Kaaru didn't say anything he was looking at him with a serious look on his face)

ISOGAI: I have this nasty feeling that killing you will surely be on the menu. (He said as he smiles broadly)

KAARU: No. Just let the two of us out of here and it will be over.

ISOGAI: Are you defying me?

KAARU: It doesn't matter. But all I want from you is to let us go.

(There was silence for sometime and then everybody burst into laughter except for Kaaru and Jin)

ISOGAI: Are you begging for freedom? (Smiles as his teeth were shown)

KAARU: You are a crazy man. (As soon he said that, everybody stopped laughing)

ISOGAI: People call me the joker for that.

KAARU: Now let me ask you a question, do you go around killing innocent people? (So he thought) I bet he was the one that kill my parents but let me not go further.

ISOGAI: Killing... Innocent people?

KAARU: Yes. You think it's fun terrorizing them when some still have families.

ISOGAI: You are so perspicacious.

KAARU: Geez, didn't know you know english like this. You know big words.

ISOGAI: And now it takes one man to change the world. The changes are already in progress.

KAARU: In killing people. Whose economy are you messing with?

ISOGAI: Everyone of course especially the government.

KAARU: What do they have to do with this?

ISOGAI: The money, the business...

KAARU: If you do this, the whole economies will crash and you got yourself to blame (He said as he pointed at him)

ISOGAI: I don't care. Many industries will die. I have work for the government for twenty good years. I hated my job because they hated me. They don't care if I die there. We work for twenty four hours. So I have to retire and come up with something new to teach them a lesson.

KAARU: What gives you the right to do this?

ISOGAI: What can I say, I'm a genius.

KAARU: That wouldn't happen (He said as he balanced his position)

ISOGAI: Hahaha, do you really want to fight me for over this?

KAARU: If you intend to. (He said as he drops Jin down)

ISOGAI: (Brought out his gun) Oh well

(He shoots him but Kaaru dodged them as he runs forward. He jumps to give him a blow but Isogai blocked it with his arms as he moves backward a little. Isogai shoots him again and Kaaru moves backward to avoid his bullet. Kaaru move forward as he tries to strike him, Isogai dodged and grabbed his leg, who was surprised and was thrown to the ground, causing him to bounce a little. Kaaru tries to get up and sees him coming with speed and received a blow from his fist. He slammed himself to the wall)

JIN: No (As she said with a low tone)

(He came out and was angry inside his mask)

KAARU: (Thought) Kaaru, you can do this. You gotta take this seriously.

(Isogai runs and Kaaru runs towards him also and the two blow their fist together. Kaaru looked at him angry and shouts and gave him a mighty blow that was beyond Isogai's own as Isogai, causing him to bounce. Everyone in the place were shocked. Kaaru came close to him. Isogai suddenly threw a dagger at him and Kaaru dodged as he bends his head. He got up and runs to attack him with a sword and Kaaru was managing to dodge them by somersaulting, bending his body and does some few steps until he jumped and was at his back. Surprisedly, Isogai kicks him and he didn't dodge that at all. He slammed himself to the wall as Isogai ran after him with his sword pointed at Kaaru)

ISOGAI: Die!

(He stabs him and surprisedly, Kaaru holds it with his barehands. The gunmen did not expect this and they looked at each others confused. Kaaru took the sword back a little. One of the gunmen brought out his gun as he was ready to fire)

??: Hold it (A voice said to him as he stopped him. The gunman looked at the other man surprised, who was also their member) Let's see what this young man can do.

(Isogai who was surprised changes his faces as he was serious and tries to stab it back to him, Kaaru took it back)

ISOGAI: Impossible, you are pushing it back to me.

(Kaaru felt the pain in his hand as blood begins to come out)

KAARU: I can't take it (He broke the sword as everyone was surprised)

JIN: (Shocked) Who is he?

(Kaaru kicked him as he displayed his fire on him as they were surprised to see that he is a manipulator. Isogai dodge it as he tries to fight him with his broken sword but Kaaru was fast and gave him a blow)

KAARU: You bastard, you don't know how killing hurt others.

ISOGAI: You dare to talk trash from your mouth.

(Kaaru kicked his jaw and immediately hold his hair as he draw it close to his face)

KAARU: It's not trash. It's just the truth. Is this what you want, bringing pain and death to people. Do you want to continue acting like a child or acting like a man. Tell your friends to stop this! You killed the young girl's family for what, is it to be rich?!

(Kaaru's words made Isogai to remember who he is now, not a killer. He looked at the young girl and then to his members. Surprisedly, the police came in with their gun pointed at him)

1ST POLICEMAN: Everybody freeze! Drop your weapons now!

KAARU: (Surprised and Thought hought) What Mr. Tan call for backup when I told him not to.

(Some ran away while some were caught. A young girl came out of the police car who was seem on suit came and a policeman came to give her report)

2ND POLICEMAN: These are not all the gunmen.

GIRL: (Looked at the men who were handcuffs) At least we have the few ones.

(Three police vans came in as it sirens loudly and warning lights flashing. Other policemen came out to take them into the vans)

(Kaaru touches Jin's head gently as he was seen squatting)

KAARU: Thank goodness, you are okay.

JIN: Hmm Mmm (Said as she beams with smile)

(Isogai came to meet Kaaru as he was also handcuff)

ISOGAI: Little man.

(Jin saw him and was afraid as she hides on Kaaru's back)

KAARU: What do you want?

ISOGAI: I want to thank you.

KAARU: Huh? (He didn't expect Isogai to thank me and he was even confused) Thank me for what?

ISOGAI: For making me who I am. You are right, little fella. This is what I want, I want to spend my life in jail to teach myself a lesson. I didn't know what came out me, just because... because I was immersed in my anger.

KAARU: No need to thank me Mr. Isogai I did that because I want to save you, not to hurt you the first place.

ISOGAI: I see. That punch you gave me was really intense.

KAARU: Really? I didn't know it could hurt you like that.

ISOGAI: Hahaha, you really think so. I'm counting on you if you want to be a hero.

KAARU: (Was surprised at Isogai's phrase and he smiled under his mask) Right. Thanks.

(So the policeman took Isogai away and Kaaru looked at him as he was leaving)

??: Thanks for helping us.

(Kaaru turned around and notice that it was a young girl who wears a suit. She has a short blonde hair, and a big round glasses)

KAARU: The pleasure is mine. You work for Mr. Tan.

GIRL: Yes, but I'm a liaison to Omura.

KAARU: Hmm, Omura is he the chief or something?

GIRL: No just my partner.

KAARU: Oh. Did Mr. Tan actually call for back up.

SUZUKI: No, I did.

KAARU: Oh.

SUZUKI: I'm Suzuki.

KAARU: I'm... I'm... (He tries to introduce him but doesn't know a name for himself)

SUZUKI: There's no need for you to introduce yourself.

KAARU: (Sees her look and notice that she looks young) Sorry if I may ask, how old are you?

SUZUKI: Seventeen.

KAARU: Seventeen working at the police department.

SUZUKI: I stayed with my older brother. We needed money on our own. So I decided to work at the SDIA.

KAARU: What about your parents?

SUZUKI: They died of a plane crash. (She said with a rather sad look, which surprised Kaaru)

KAARU: I'm sorry.

SUZUKI: Yeah... But anyway, my colleagues who work at the Tokyo science lab owe you an appreciation since they heard the news about you. (Kaaru smiles under his mask) We are gonna take these good for nothing freaks to Tokyo prison.

KAARU: It's okay to me. What do you intend to do with this little girl?

SUZUKI: Well she will be taken to our headquarter and she will be given her own room to stay.

KAARU: That's okay. It's nice meeting you.

SUZUKI: Yeah. You wanna go right. I can help you drive down.

KAARU: No thanks.

JIN: Excuse me! (As she stopped him and Kaaru turned to her) Thank you! (As she waves her hand at him)

KAARU: (Smiles and trailed off in the air)

(Suzuki looked up surprised and Omura came to meet her. He is tall and has short dark blue hair, neatly combed down at the back of his head. His eyes are square and a serious expression, his eyebrows are quite thin and long)

OMURA: Suzuki, you know that guy?

SUZUKI: No but he seems to be a nice guy.

OMURA: (He left with a serious look on his face and sighed) We better go.

(Back to Kaaru, who was still flying on the air, he begins to have thought on what Isogai said to him)

                                              (Flashbacks)

ISOGAI: ... I'm counting on you if you want to be a hero.

                                    (End of flashback)

KAARU: Yeah. (He said as he smiles)
