~At Elora's home~

*DING DONG*

"Yeah, who is it?" Elora answers as she's opening the door

Ray is the one who rang the doorbell "It's me Elora, can we talk for a bit?" Ray speaks in a monotone voice with a sadden face

"Ah, yes come on in Ray" Elora surprised by the sudden visit

As they sat down in the living room, Elora began to worry for Ray, as he looks just as bad as when Luke died

"What's wrong Ray?"

"Elora, if you don't mind, can I ask something about you and Luke?"

"Yes, it's fine, it's already been 6 months and it's not like you're a stranger anyway, I think of you like an older brother that I never have"

Ray smiles at Elora's words "Is that so, then can I ask you how you felt about losing Luke?"

Elora instantly knew that it's about that girl Adelia, the one who managed to bring Ray up from depression after Luke's death. "It's about Adelia, isn't it? You've asked Luke a similar question when your parents died long ago in the war against Exynia.

Ray didn't answer, he only looked up and smiles that betrayed the sadness in his eyes

"Hhh, fine I'll tell you, when Luke died, I felt like the world have stopped for me, just like you I thought about dying as well, but when I was told that he died while sacrificing himself to save you, I've respected his decision, because he is until the end was a hero that I've loved" Elora told Ray

"So, what happens to that girl Adelia? Did he dump you? This isn't like you Ray, you've dated multiple times, so why now?" Elora asks Ray back

"It's because I seriously loved her, I want to be with her for the rest of my life. I dated multiple times in the past was just because I was bored and I was jealous of Luke who had someone by his side, in other words you" Ray points at Elora

"So, what's the reason she left you? Is it your or her fault? She didn't die, did she?" Elora thinks of the many scenarios on how she left Ray

"No, she didn't die and it's no one's fault"

"Huh? What do you mean?" Elora confused by Ray's replies

Then Ray proceeds to tell Elora the whole story

"What? So that girl is one of the emperor's many wives, this is so much more complicated than I thought" Elora rubs her head

"So, what are you planning to do? I'm willing to help if possible"

"Yesterday, I've thought up of every possible scenario and I could only think of two in which didn't end up badly"

"And you don't need to help me Elora, you've already got your hands tied with that baby in your belly"

"Well thanks for your concern, so what's do you have in mind?"

"The first one is for me to train non-stop so that I could stand a chance against the Imperial army, but there's one problem"

"The training could take me up to 10 years minimum, and it would be too late by then?"

"What do you mean too late? Did you think that Adelia won't love you anymore after 10 years? I'm sure that she stills love you by then Ray" Elora reassures Ray

"No that's not the problem, in 10 years' time the throne wars would have begun already, and if one of the emperor's children is as merciless as the young emperor, Adelia won't survive by then"

"Well, that is still not certain though, so what's your second option? Is it any better? Elora puts her hand on her chin

"To seclude myself in a faraway village, starts anew without getting close to anyone and forgets everything prior"

"What? Isn't that way worse? Not only will you be leaving us, but you'll also forget about us too! And you'll let Adelia dies in the throne war!" Elora angrily shouts at Ray

"Yes, but I won't remember anything, and I won't care by then. Elora I can't live like this anymore! Every time I lose someone close to me, it hurts so much! I can't take this anymore!" Ray breaks out of his monotone expression

"I'm sorry, but I'm selfish, I've decided to leave after I have a talk with you Elora" Ray started to stand up to leave

"Tell Luna and the other that I'm sorry and goodbye"

"Ray..." Elora watches as Ray leaves not doing anything as she doesn't want to harm the baby in her womb

A few minutes went by since Ray leaves

"I should tell Luna about this" said Elora as she grabs her phone to call Luna

"Luna?"

"Hmm? Yes Elora, what is it?"

"Have you heard what happened to Ray?"

"Waaa! Don't tell me about it! It'll make me jealous again, I've already decided to wish them the best" replied Luna not wanting to hear anything

"That's not what I'm calling you for! It's serious, Ray has decided to leave us! He-"

"Listen Elora, it's his decision if he wants to leave us to live with Adelia, though it would make me sad and lonely" Luna interrupts Elora

"Can you please listen and not interrupt! Ahhh just come here to my house, I'll tell you in person"

1 hour later

'I'm here Elora, I brought Amara with me too!" Luna drops by Elora's home

"Good, let me tell you both then, Ray is mentally unstable again"

"What? What happened? Does it have to with that girl Adelia?" Amara ask in shock

"Yes, apparently she left him yesterday"

"Oh, I know it, that girl is no good" Luna looks up excitedly

"What are you talking about you liar" Amara flicks Luna's forehead

"Ouch, but what happened though? They look happy together before?" Luna asks Elora

Then Elora proceeds to tell Luna and Amara the story about how Adelia's situation

*Sobs* "Waaaa, I'm sorry Adelia for ever doubting you" Luna cries in guilt

"So, what is Ray planning to do?" Amara asks

"He decided to forget everything and start a new life far away without ever getting close to anyone"

"WHAT!? That Idiot!" Amara furious

"When did he leave? I have to catch up to him!" Luna asks readying to leave

"He left about an hour ago, forget it, he didn't tell me where he's going anyway" Elora tries to stop Luna

"Let's just hope the best for him and that he will come back to us in the near future" Elora continues

"As if! I'm not letting him go down that path without me being able to do anything again!"

"This time I'll help him, and I won't regret anything anymore"

"I'm searching for him, even if it takes years to find him!" Luna declares as she leaves
