there is joy,

there is healing,

there is peace,

there is love,

there is belonging."

seven seconds

they say "before death you get  seven seconds recap of your life",

do we?

if I was about to die, what would I see?

my childhood memories are all blurry,

does those seven seconds also include the things I don't want to see?

the way i lost my daisy,

the way i was a failure to my parents,

the way i was crying on my knee,

cause i don't want to see any of these ,

it's all an unhappy memory,

i want to see the happy me!,

the way i danced ,

the way i laughed ,

the way i played, i was so free ,

I want to see the happy me,

seven seconds of life, i'll someday see.

- isn't it terrifying and fascinating at the same time you'll  see your life's flashback before you die?

good people

Some people are just good people,

And you can just tell it,

and you can just feel it, in the steeple,

I don't know how to explain that grace,

that magical presence

there's a little spark, a comforting embrace.

This special thing they have, it's true,

You feel so safe and happy when they're with you.

- stay close to people who feel like daylight.

i know we are not *together*

i know we are not together,

not together in the photobooth,

not together by the lakeside pool ,

not together at the back gate of the church ,

but i still love you,  but i don't want you ,

because I want what's best for you,

and the best for you

is not with me here,

not in the photobooth ,

not by the lakeside pool,

or the back gate of the church ,

but I still love you , but I don't want you ,

I can't try to.

- i love you, and I want what's best for you.

you let me go

you let me go,

you left my hand, the same hand you said you'll hold forever,

didn't you ?

you said "even if you asked me to kiss you 100 times again and again, I would ",

because you loved me then ,

didn't you?

because you said " you'll be the 1",

because you said " you'll be the 1" I'll be walking down the aisle to,

but it's drastically opposite now ,

it's you walking away ,

you are letting me go, letting my hand go ,

and I'm really glad, really glad that you are letting my hand go away,

thanks for letting me go ,

because I don't think i would have ever walked away.

- if you never bleed, you're never gonna grow.
