Isabel was sitting in her hostel room, still feeling shaken from the incident with Andrew. She had taken a hot bath, but the memory of his aggressive advances still lingered in her mind. She decided to distract herself by reading a book and waiting for her friends to return.
As she was reading, she heard the sound of the hostel room door opening. It was her roommates. They walked in, chattering and laughing among themselves. Isabel looked up and forced a smile.
"Hey, where were you guys?" she asked.
"We had a surprise quiz in our class," one of her roommates replied. "What about you? Why weren't you in class?"
Isabel hesitated for a moment before deciding to tell them the truth. "Something happened. Andrew came to our class and tried to... kiss me," she said, her voice trailing off.
Her roommates gasped in shock. "Are you okay?" one of them asked, placing a comforting hand on Isabel's shoulder.
Isabel nodded, but tears welled up in her eyes. "I kicked him in the balls and ran to the principal's office to report him, but the principal didn't take me seriously. He just told me to go to class and study," she said, her voice trembling.
Her two best friends, who had just arrived back from their classes, hugged her tightly. "We're here for you, Isabel. We believe you," one of them said.
Isabel felt grateful for their support. However, the other two roommates seemed less sympathetic. "Why did Andrew come to our class looking for you?" one of them asked.
Isabel sighed. "I don't know. He's just a jerk," she replied.
The room fell silent for a moment before her best friends suggested they all do something fun to take Isabel's mind off of things. They decided to go out for dinner at a nearby restaurant and spent the evening chatting and laughing, trying to forget about the troubling events of the day.
Isabel's friends had decided to take her out The next day which was Saturday to get her mind off the incident with Andrew.
They went to the mall and walked around, stopping at different stores to try on clothes and accessories. Isabel bought a new dress and some jewelry which her friends helped her pick out. After shopping, they went to an amusement park to ride some thrilling roller coasters and play some carnival games.
Isabel couldn't help but scream in excitement as they went up and down the roller coaster tracks.
Her two best friends, Mia and Hannah, noticed how happy Isabel was and they were glad to see her smile. They told her how proud they were of her for standing up for herself against Andrew and how they were there for her no matter what.
Isabel thanked them and felt grateful to have such good friends in her life.
After playing games and going on rides, they stopped to get some snacks and sat down on a bench to rest. Isabel looked up at
. The sun which was setting, casting a warm orange glow over everything.
She felt a sense of calmness wash over her, and she took a deep breath, feeling grateful for the moment.
As they made their way back to the hostel, Isabel felt a sense of happiness and contentment she hadn't felt in a while.
She realized that it was important to surround herself with people who cared for her and who would always have her back.
When they got back to their hostel room, Isabel went to her bed and took out her diary. She wrote down everything that had happened to her in the past few days and how she felt.
Writing was her way of processing her emotions and putting her thoughts in order. As she wrote, she felt a weight lifting off her chest, and she knew that things would eventually get better.
Isabel closed her diary and looked over at Mia and Hannah, who were sitting on the other side of the room, chatting and laughing. She smiled to herself, feeling grateful for the beautiful day she had spent with her friends. As she lay down
