Chapter 6 - Rias Gremory

Kuoh Town, it was a place governed by Devils, mainly it was under the governance of Rias Gremory from the Gremory family. As for Rias Gremory, she was every bit like a pure-blooded devil, devilishly gorgeous, crimson hair, big blue eyes and a figure that made Akeno feel competitive. She was also decently powerful among the younger generation of the Devils and far more powerful than Akeno or the other members of her peerage.

And right now, she was angry. It happened last night that Akeno came back, and she seemed a bit out of it, and she had this strange glow on her skin along with a smell that Rias couldn't put her finger on, but being a Devil who had gone on contracts before she knew exactly what that smell was. It was likely to be semen.

Knowing that, she and the members of her peerage followed after Akeno when she ran out, all the way to the building where the ghost had made its home. It was common for them to see stray devils and monsters, but this was the first time they had met a stray ghost. She was curious how a ghost managed to not get pulled inside the underworld that so she let it go but seeing the mist cover the reception and then Akeno's moans that they could hear outside.

She was furious, and she wanted attack right that instant, but Akeno was right in his arms, at her most vulnerable, that's why she decided to wait until Akeno was safe. She was about to attack him then when her peerage member Kiba stopped her, "Lady Rias, we shouldn't. This is something Akeno must fight. How about you talk to her and then we can vanquish the evil soul together?"

"I don't want to, but you are right," Rias nibbled her lips. She couldn't even imagine what Akeno was going through right now, what kind of turmoil she was in and if she killed the ghost on her own, she might solve Akeno's problem but there was a chance she would lose her queen and best friend. So she decided to go home with Koneko and Kiba and talk to Akeno face to face.

Though, it didn't seem that was necessary, when the three of them reached their club room, Akeno was sitting on the couch along with the tension in the room, if it was anyone else then they would have backed off. But not Rias. She calmly walked up to her, "Akeno, is there something you want to tell me?"

Akeno looked up the daze she was in, hearing the voice of her best friend. She let out a troubled yet cheerful smile, "Rias…I might be in trouble."

Rias crossed her arms. She was slightly angry at Akeno for not telling her this sooner, but seeing the look on her face she decided to give her a hug instead. She sweetly whispered in her ear, "there is no trouble that I can't handle. I am a Devil, you know."

"I know…"

"Let's go get him."

"Mm."

"Akeno-senpai."

Akeno raised her head from Rias's shoulder to look at the petite girl with white-hair, who hugged her from the side, encouraging her, "we are with you, Akeno-senpai."

"Thank you, Koneko-chan," Akeno softly smiled. Once she was feeling a little better, she informed them about the enemy they had promised to face. Since she was hazy about the details, she didn't exactly remember all the details of their encounter since she was…used until she lost all consciousness, "he's otherworldly. He gives me this strange feeling…and he bends the rules of reality just by making that place his lair. Normally, I would say he's unbeatable…for us…"

"But?"

"I think he is divided. Between the different floors of the building. There are 33 Floors in that building, the first floor is housed by Minotaur, and the creature is stronger than me. Nevertheless, I am sure that we all can beat it together. The problem is, the other 32 Floor…I have no idea about them."

"Hm," Rias closed her eyes, thinking deeply, "if so, then it truly isn't something we can deal with. We might not be able to reach him per se. We can still kill the him on the first floor. Is that what you are saying."

Akeno grabbed onto her upper arm, squeezing it tightly when she thought about killing him. She didn't want to. Yet, she wasn't left with any choice, if she didn't, she would end up betraying Rias, and that was the last thing she wanted to do, betray her. It was painfully obvious for anyone to see how much this choice twisted her from the inside and Rias wanted Akeno to get over it as soon as possible, "Akeno. Come with me. We are going to do this now."

"Now? Rias," Akeno looked up in shock, into Rias's determined eyes that she couldn't say anything too. She let out a sigh, agreeing, "Very well. I understand. No use thinking about it."

Once the two of them decided, they teleported to the Abandoned Building along with the other two members of Peerage, having already come up with a plan to defeat the minotaur. Rias took Akeno's palm, pulling her inside the building, "come on. Let's go."

Akeno looked at Rias back, softly smiling at the encouragement she got from best friend but seeing the building, being close to it, she couldn't help her body that trembled in excitement, getting wetter by the step. She bit down on her lip until it bled, until it was painful enough to snap her out of it.

The moment they all stepped inside the ground floor, the traps and mazes started to part ways, it was just like the time Akeno came last time. Though, this time, the building was inviting them to the deepest level of ground floor. They were hesitant for a moment before they decided to take the offer.

They made their way inside until they found the ring where the Minotaur was standing on. Rias didn't want to give the enemy time to play with Akeno's emotions and so she declared war the moment she saw her enemy, "Kiba! Koneko!"

"Yes! Senpai!"

"Sword Birth!"

Kiba was the first one to attack, using his sacred gear to bring out tens of sword from the ground, hoping to pierce through the skin of Minotaur. Only to see them all broken when they tried to pierce the monster that lunged towards them. He looked towards Koneko, who looked petite but had most physical strength among them kick the minotaur in the face.

The monster stopped for an instant before it held her by her leg and threw her towards Kiba, who had to let go of his weapon to try to catch her. The two of them got hurled back towards the end of the ring and into the wall before Minotaur continued charging towards Rias, who had her devil wings out and a magic circle on the palm of her hand, collecting magic power to blast the monster away, and the Minotaur charged faster, with no one between him Rias, until Akeno stood between them, her hands raised as she summoned lightning, her eyes teary from the pain she felt doing this, "I am sorry."

"Akeno!"

Akeno brought down the lightning to stop the minotaur a few moments, knowing that it was going brush it off. She didn't have to move out of the way, Rias flew further up, to aim down at the beast, looking into his eyes before she fired off the beam of magic power, filled with energy that could destroy anything, "Disappear."

The beam hit the minotaur squarely in the face, which tried to resist her power without success. The body of the monster fell backwards, headless, and Akeno felt the swirling desire inside her lessen. Instead, they watched as the body of minotaur disappear into particles, leaving a few behind which entered their body too fast for them to resist. The next thing they knew, "I feel stronger."

Kiba stared at his palm, closing and opening it, feeling his body bursting with energy. Unlike their usual hunts where Rias gave them time to train while hunting and protecting them, this one was strictly for Akeno, and they went all out. They weren't tired because of that. That's why he felt this strength more amazingly than anyone else. He had grown much stronger with just one fight than the training last year.

"Me too," Koneko was lying on the floor, feeling the ache in her body. The monster threw her so hard that all parts of her body was aching and now, it was better all of a sudden. She looked towards her two senpai, who felt the same thing when Kiba spoke, "Rias, can we go to the next floor?"

Rias looked towards Kiba, knowing what the boy was thinking. He was the one who sought power the most, because of his past but, going to the next floor. She was lost in thought when the arena parted from the centre and a console appeared from under it. She flew down to it to get a proper look at it and it seemed to be asking for her palm.

She struggled with the decision. Nevertheless, she decided to put her palm on it, and a holographic light appeared in front of them, showing the details that even Rias didn't know.

"What…is this?" Rias looked at the screen in confusion, filled with details of her, when she heard a motherly voice calling out to Akeno.

"Akeno…come to the second floor. I am waiting for you."

Rias didn't think much of it, but when she turned to look at Akeno, whose eyes were wide, trembling, recognising whose voice that was, "Mom…?"
