Chapter [70]

Bikou landed on the ground beside the crater where Vali's body lay, his eyes fixed on the scene before him. A shockwave ran through his body as he saw his former companion, now lifeless, stretched out before his eyes. A mixture of disbelief and anger bubbled within him, questioning who could have dared to do such a thing to Vali.

"Who could have done this to you, Vali?" Bikou murmured to himself, his voice filled with frustration and confusion. He knew Vali's death would not go unnoticed, and he would make sure to uncover the truth behind this heinous act.

Bikou's thoughts turned to Ophis, the leader of the Khaos Brigade, to whom he owed allegiance and service. "Ophis will be furious when she learns that the plan to defeat the Great Red Dragon will be delayed," Bikou thought, aware of the consequences this tragedy would bring to the brigade's plans.

Determined to report the situation, Bikou approached the group gathered near the crater, where Riser, Rias, Azazel, and others were present. His arrival did not go unnoticed, and all eyes turned to him, curious and alert.

Rias, still with her expression filled with anger towards Azazel, was the first to break the silence. "Who are you?"

Azazel immediately recognized Bikou as he approached the group. He hadn't expected to see a descendant of Sun Goku there at such a crucial moment.

"Bikou?" Azazel murmured, his tone reflecting surprise at finding the young man there.

Rias, noticing Azazel's reaction, turned her attention back to him, her expression still filled with anger. "Do you know this guy?" she asked, her voice conveying suspicion.

Azazel turned to Rias, his expression tense as he considered his response. "Yes, he's Bikou, a descendant of Sun Goku," he replied, his voice containing a hint of caution.

Bikou nodded in confirmation, his face serious as he observed the group before him. He could feel the tension in the air and was eager to understand what was happening.

Rias looked at Bikou with renewed interest, her curiosity piqued by Azazel's revelation. Before she could ask more questions, Bikou intervened with a question of his own.

"Who killed Vali?" he asked directly, his eyes fixed on the people around him.

Riser didn't hesitate to respond, his voice firm and remorseless. "It was me," he admitted, his expression calm.

Bikou stared at Riser intensely, his features serious as he processed the confession. He could feel the fury bubbling inside him, but he restrained himself, keeping control for now.

Riser noticed Bikou's piercing gaze and decided to clarify things. "What was your relationship with Vali?" he asked, his curiosity genuine.

Bikou looked at Riser, his expression blunt and straightforward. "That's none of your business," he replied, his voice conveying disdain.

"You're part of the Khaos Brigade, aren't you?" Azazel questioned.

Bikou nodded, his expression serious as he observed Azazel. "Yes, and you're Azazel. Vali spoke highly of you," he replied, his voice filled with respect for the leader of the Fallen Angels.

Bikou turned to leave, his mind full of thoughts about the next step to take. But before he could go, he turned again to Riser, his eyes shining with determination.

"Be prepared, Riser. Vali's death won't go unanswered," he warned, his voice laden with threat.

Bikou tapped his staff on the ground and teleported away, leaving the group in tense silence. Rias, sensing a missed opportunity, tried to call him back, but it was too late.

"Wait!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with frustration.

Rias furrowed her brow, her mind spinning with unanswered questions. She wanted to know if he knew about Gasper's whereabouts, but Bikou had already disappeared.

Riser, sensing Rias's frustration, decided to intervene. "What is the Khaos Brigade?" he asked Azazel.

"That's none of your concern," Azazel replied tersely, his voice filled with disdain.

Sirzechs, sensing the tension between the two, decided to intervene. "I also want to know," he said calmly.

Azazel sighed deeply, his shoulders relaxing slightly at Sirzechs's request.

"The Khaos Brigade is an organization that has been recruiting powerful beings from all over the world recently," Azazel began, his voice filled with knowledge on the subject.

Riser made an assumption. "Let me guess, Vali was a part of it," he suggested, his expression showing his understanding of the events.

Azazel confirmed with a nod of his head. "Yes, Vali joined the Khaos Brigade in search of power and freedom," he explained, his voice conveying a mixture of regret and frustration.

Riser, seeing an opportunity to make Azazel's life difficult, questioned with a taunting tone.

"You came to sign a peace treaty without revealing such important knowledge to Michael, Sirzechs, or Serefall?"

Azazel, realizing Riser's intentions, became irritated by the insinuation. "What are you trying to do, Phenex?" he retorted, his voice filled with distrust.

"That's for you to say," Riser taunted, maintaining his impassive expression.

Azazel sighed, feeling the frustration growing within him. "I came here to sign a peace treaty, I have nothing to do with Vali's choices," he replied, his voice conveying the sincerity of his words.

Riser continued to press, trying to incriminate Azazel. "You said the same thing about Kokabiel and now with Vali. Do you think devils are idiots and will believe it's just a coincidence?" he taunted, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Stop trying to incriminate me," Azazel retorted, his patience beginning to wear thin in the face of Riser's accusations.

Serefall, intervening to calm the tensions. "Sona-chan, go with Riser-chan back home. I'll take care of things here now."

Sona, tense with the situation, said to Riser with a worried expression. "Let's go, Riser."

"Alright," Riser replied.

Azazel, feeling that he couldn't let Riser leave without resolving the outstanding issues. "You can't just leave like this, Riser. You owe me for Vali's death."

Riser, undeterred, responded with a threat. "You can collect that debt whenever you want. I'll send you to the same place I sent Vali and Kokabiel."

Azazel frowned, his expression hardened in the face of Riser's threat.

Michael, sensing the growing tension, intervened calmly: "Enough, Azazel. We need to talk, and this matter of the Khaos Brigade is very important."

Riser, accompanied by Sona and her Peerage, departed from the scene, leaving Azazel and the others to resolve their internal conflicts.
