Ch 4

The sounds and sparks of metal clashing against each other were spread across what seemed to be an underground basement.Two warriors, fought one another. The battlefield though, was left scarred. Many craters littered the area.

All was then quiet for a change. The two fighters stopped. They now stood across each other. One of them is Xenovia who wore her Church battle suit, which consists of a black, skin-tight, short sleeve leotard with pauldrons, matching fingerless gloves that extend to her biceps, and thigh-high boots, all of which are adorned with straps,which was no filled cuts all over her body.On the other side stood Ren holding his spear.

"Sigh,How many times do i have to tell you to stop trying to suppress Durandal's strength?"Ren sternly said to Xenovia.

"But I can't control Durandal,If I did that."Xenovia expressed her situation.

"Then don't control just give it a direction and let it do it's thing.Think of Durandal as a part of yourself and accept it's power then only will you be able to fully reach your true pinnacle."

"Think of Durandal as a part of yourself and accept it's power….."Xenovia muttered.

"Get up and go get yourself cleaned up,Azazels expecting us."Ren said as he gave his hand to Xenovia to get up.

As Ren and Xenovia finished their sparring session the headed towards the ORC room.As they were walking there the silence was interrupted by Xenovia.

"Ren-san,How long have you been involved in the supernatural world?"

"Drop the -san part Ren is fine.As for your question,I think it been around 7 years,I think."Ren replied.

"Wow to have been involved in the supernatural at such a young age,you must be a great Genius."

"A genius huh,I wonder about that."Ren scoffed as he said that which didn't go unnoticed.As he said that they had arrived infront their destination.

"Well let's go In."Ren said as he went pushed the door open.

"Wait shouldn't,We knock-"As Xenovia said that Ren had already opened the door.

"S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-S-Senpai! W-W-W-W-W-W-W-What are you sayiiiiiiing!? Hiiiiii!"

Gasper cries was the first thing the duo heard first.As the dou looked around all of the members of ORC were there alongside Azazel.

"Ah Ren and Xenovia,you two finally arrived."

"Yeah,so what's all the ruckus about."Ren asked.

"Well I just suggested if we're attacked another time,couldn't we do something with Gasper's time-stopping?"Issei presented his opinion to which Ren gave a disappointed sigh.

"It's not worth considering if he's alone. We don't know what kind of people are in the [Khaos Brigade]."

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm so useless! I'm not useful at all! I'm garbage! I'm pig food! I'm seriously reflecting deeper than the sea, and I possess a target higher than Evereeeeeeeeeest! So please don't abandon meeeeeeeee!"Gasper said as he took refuge in his cardboard box.

"Then what about Ren then?"Issei suggested.

"He's worth considering,but everyone has their limit and Ren is no exception to that."Azazel said to which Ren nodded accepting the fact.

"That's right, holy demonic sword kid. How long can you fight in Balance Breaker?"

Kiba answered Azazel's question.

"Currently, one hour is my limit."

"That's not good. At the very least, you need to make sure that you're able to continue using it for 3 days."

"I-I can only do it for 10 seconds under restricted conditions..."Issei said timidly.

"You'll have to retrain from scratch. The Hakuryuukou can stay in Balance Breaker for one month. That's the difference between you."

Next Azazel's gaze turned towards Akeno.

"Do you still hate us—no, Barakiel?"

"I have no intention of forgiving him. Since it's that person's fault that my mother died."

"Akeno, when you fell down to being a Devil, he said nothing."

"Naturally. That person isn't in a position where he can say something to me."

"That's not what I meant. No, well, it might be thoughtless of me to enter into the space of you parent and child."

"I don't consider that person as my father!"

Akeno declared that clearly.

"I see. But, I don't think it's bad that you joined the Gremory family. If things were otherwise, what would Barakiel think, I wonder?"

"..."

Akeno-san did not respond to Azazel's words. She just silently showed a complicated expression. Then, Azazel's eyes turned to Ren this time.

"What's on your mind Ren?"

"Oh,I don't know just wondering why have you called me here?"Ren sarcastically replied.

"Ah that's right,I completely forgot.I pulled some strings and admitted you and Xenovia into his Academy."Azazel said in his usual carefree manner as he pointed towards Xenovia and Ren.

"That's great,now we can spend time together and pray to God together,right Xenovia-san."Asia said cheerfully as she and Xenovia started chatting.

"I would like to spar against Ren-san and Xenovia-san in their free time."Kiba too joined in.

"Oh well,whatever.I will be taking a leave so don't go around causing trouble Azazel."Ren said glaring at the Governor Fallen Angel.

"So,How long will you be gone for?"Issei asked.

"Around a week or two.Xenovia you too are coming along."Ren said calling Xenovia out.

"Me too??"Xenovia quizzical asked.

"That's great opportunity,you could learn a few new things."Azazel said to Xenovia.

"What do you mean?"Xenovia asked confused.

"Well Ren has a habit of exploring mystical lands and island long forgotten,if you are lucky you could find some legendary artifacts."Azazel said explaining Ren's habit.

"Mystical land and island….."Rias said remember some adventure mangas.

"Cool sempai."Koneko said imagining some of the adventures.

"So,when are we leaving?"Xenovia asked with stars in her eyes.

"Tomorrow morning.6 am sharp."Ren said to which Azazel smiled already knowing what's ahead.
