Chapter: 2

-Aedric-

Looking out, seeing a grand castle, lush gardens and most important of all devils, like literal devils with wings on their backs, other than that they look completely human, heck if they stood side to side one wouldn't find any difference if the wings aren't out.

Well, I guess all that I went through was not a dream, ah, guess I have the chance to become the strongest, well even if that is only a pre-requisite for my true dream, to be truly free. Well, Rome wasn't built in a day, so baby steps. For now, I sleep one to assimilate my memories and two, to activate all my cheats. Well even if that was not required there is nothing for a 2-year-old to do, especially in the 14th century.

The next day, my mother, Elizabeth Phenex, who is also a cousin to my father, woke me up. The memories weren't much, after all; there isn't much a 2-year-old can do, even if it is a devil.

"Wake up my, little drake it's time to start the day", my mother says, and yes, my nickname is Drake, well I slowly got up, still rubbing my eyes, my mother asked, "Did you sleep well my dear, you should get ready soon, drake, as after breakfast, your first lesson starts today"

"I slept well, Mum and ok I'll get ready, though I rather study magic or sword", I reply

"Hehehe, well as your father and I told you before, only after you finish your etiquette lessons will the others start and even then, you will be taught properly first before you can do anything on your own.", my mom says

"So, if I finish all of the etiquette lessons then, can I start early, mum?", I ask, giving the best wide eye stare I can.

"Yes, my little drake if you finish it earlier and pass the instructor test and then pass the test your father and I set then you can begin your magic and arts training", my mom replies

Arts, one completely new thing I found in this world, it seems that here people use their Aura, to enhance their sword Manship or any other weapon for that matter, it was quite a surprise when I learnt of it, while I was lost in my thoughts my mom shocked me by saying

-Elizabeth Phenex-

Once again, my little drake got lost in his thoughts, mostly thinking about Arts or magic. I truly fear for my little one due to his sheer potential. I mean, who can replicate a cleaning spell just by seeing it once? It seems my Drake can. We even had to kill the maid who saw it as well. Honestly, did she think after that she was not under watch?

Due to that we even fast-tracked his etiquette lessons, usually things like that start from when they are 4 or 5, even in rare cases 3 never at 2 was it held, and in the world, we live in both me and my husband, Solarius, agreed upon that and halting his growth would not be the best either.

Even the etiquette lessons are to be taught by my mother-in-law/aunt (though distant), she is even coming out of retirement for this even my uncle has decided that if my drakes talents are as we believe them to be then he would also come out to teach him, under the guise of meeting and spending time with their first grandchild. After all, beings of their level of strength are always under watch.

And they do want to spend time with my, Drake. Let them come, they will fall for the cuteness that my little one embodies.

"Drake, it will be your grandmother, Aurelia, who will be teaching you etiquette lessons, so be sure to learn well, ok?", I say, there is a shocked look on his face, after all, she was the one who leads the Phenex House during the great war when the then lord, Zepharion Phenex, my father in law/uncle led our armies back then and earned the title, "Hell flames of the Underworld". Plus, this will also be the first time Drake meets his grandparents.

I'm shocked to hear that my grandmother, is the one who will be teaching me, after all with what little I have read, it was my grandmother who led the house while grandfather was leading the armies during the great war. She is famous, for that after all, it is one thing to lead the house but to make it prosper during that time is another, due to that even after the war grandfather left the ruling of the house mainly to grandmother. 

"Well Drake, get ready and come down your father and I will wait for you, and your grandmother and grandfather will be coming around half past 11, so now go freshen up", Mom says nodding she gets up and leaves the room.

And queue, a line of maids entered the room to wash and dress me up, at first, I well had a red face through the ordeal, but over time it became common. After the maids entered, came my maid in training, Albedo, who is two years older than me and after her came the head maid, who trains Albedo.

I honestly don't know how my, father got albedo to become my personal maid. After all, she is a Demon/Succubus, so even her potential is also great. Oh, and demons are different from devils as the devils were created by Lucifer while the demons are born in a separate realm, the demonic realm, not many demons can be found since they can't enter/leave their realm and can only be summoned even then they can't stay forever only by gaining a material body, which can contain their full power can they remain.

On Albedo's side, it seems her mother called upon a demon, who was quite strong according to my father, exceeding peak ultimate class, to have a child that resulted in Albedo.

"Good morning, Master Aedric", they all say

"Hm, good morning", I return the greeting, the head maid then starts giving the orders and well they follow, oh every servant under my house is at minimum a High-class Devil, in strength due to the plans implemented by my grandmother, another reason for her famous status, many houses tried the same with varying results.

-Albedo-

Another day had started the same by helping Master Aedirc, getting for breakfast with the lord and lady, honestly, when my mother said that I was faithed for the young master, I thought that the years were finally getting to her, but I could not disregard the foresight magic my race used for their survival, after all, how else could we survive and not become slaves to the truly strong factions, but as the days pass and see firsthand how talented, my master, is I'm starting to understand what my mother meant, while I haven't fallen in love or something, I don't mind the idea of spending life with my master.

Once again, the lady of the house, was the one to wake up master, according to her it is her duty and right and no one else can take it from her. Once the lady left master's room, we went in.

"Good morning, Master Aedric", we all said

"Hm, good morning", master replies, after all, it is well known that the Heir of the Phenex House, is not a morning person. The senior maids take master to the bath, while I, ready his clothes for the day.

After a while, master comes out fully awake, we then dress him and style him to look perfect, since the previous lord and lady are arriving today. After all this, all the maids leave, while I follow him as I'm his personal maid, and after a few years it will be me who helps him bath, and not those old age

"Albedo, have you started your training?", my master suddenly asks,

"Yes, I have started my maid training, master Aedric", I reply

"Not, your maid training Albedo, I meant Art's or magic training, and haven't I told you to call me Aedric when alone", he asks

"No master, I have not started such training, and master I told you that I would, only call you Young Master or Master Aedric", I reply knowing for some reason master hates to be called young master, he has a small tug on his lips and "hmm's", we then walk to the dining room in a comfortable silence, just as we reach master turns around and kisses me on the cheeks

I stand there, as a devil master has a body of a 5-year-old and since we both are supernatural species, we have advanced thinking capacity as well, still with all of my body heat going to my face. Then I hear master saying

Another day, my and Albedo's daily routine starts trying to get one over the other, well her status is also above that of the other servants as well, but now that I'm fully back? Yes, let's go with that, and I'm longing to be the freest person, as we reach the dining room, I turn and kiss her on the cheeks. Then I see a wonderful sight straight out of an anime, with her cheeks full red.

"Shall we enter Al-be-do?", I say stretching her name, and well all the nearby servants can sense us and well both mother and father can also, well I'm sure I'm getting teased by them later. She nods her head slowly, and we then enter the room. I with a grin across my face and her not as red as a tomato but still red.

-Solarius Phenex-

While reading through some documents, my wife entered and kissed me on the cheek and sat beside me on the table. I can see the worry on her face, even if hides it, after all, which mother doesn't worry about their son. After all, even I have the same worries, and even asked my mother and father to come, to ensure that my son's safety and his monstrosity of talent are both hidden and well nurtured.

"He should be coming in 30 minutes", she says

"You don't have to worry about, our son, we will make sure he's safe and grows strong enough to face his battles on his own", I say trying to ease my wife

"I know, even mother and father are coming for the same, but I still worry about him, Sol, of what might happen to him, if we fail", she says, now that I can't ease after all which parent doesn't worry for their children.

I get up, pick her up and sit on the sofa on the side, it's good that no servants are present right now, and hug her while she hugs me back, we sit like this till we sense our son reaching, and we then get up and sit in our chairs and the clothes are fixed by magic.

I smile as I sense what is happening outside, and I am proud, to say the least, but I will tease him for sure, as will my wife, Beth. As the door opens, enters with a grin on his face and albedo almost as red as a tomato. Well for her sake I won't tease them now.

"Good morning, Father and Mother", he says and takes a seat while the servants start placing the food on the table. While albedo stands behind him, even after the servants leave she stands as is, usually servants are allowed while we eat, but due to her unique status, she has the right to stay, well even if we tell her to sit she will just continue to refuse.

After having a hearty breakfast, while having some light conversations, we arrive at the main event of the day,

"Son, you should go and take some rest or read some books in the library, as you will have a long day, and try not to get too excited or nervous", I say to him as he has been fidgeting with his hair.

"Was I that obvious?", he asks

"Drake, we are your parents and also have a lot of experience in life, we can catch on to this quite easily, go read a book as your father told as that usually eases your nerves", my wife replies. He nods, gives both of us hugs kisses us on our cheeks and goes off to the library.

Listening to my father's advice, I'm currently reading a book about our clan history in the library, while Albedo is beside me, ready to address any of my needs. I look up and see it is close to 11, I decide to go back to my room to change clothes and get ready to meet my grandparents when I hear,

"Why aren't you a studious one?", I hear behind me
