The Mayan ceremonial dagger had an inscription in the ancient language that read: "Offer thy heart". Although the Pegasus wasn't a small ship, when compared against the tall buildings it looked like a bee in a flower field, though instead of collecting the precious nectar it was actually bumping into skyscrapers due to Emma's inexperience. It would have been easier for her if she was able to rise above the buildings level, but they didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention towards themselves since they knew some of the hybrids had access to a wide variety of traits, some of which could be dangerous even at a distance.
