Hero Saves the Damsel

"You might ask how I met with our newest guest, the wonderfully furry, giant killing machine".

"It all started an hour ago when I suddenly remember a piece of wisdom from novel that briefly mentioned of how moss always point toward civilization".

"Even though I was quite skeptical. I still searched moss because it was better than standing still in a middle of forest with no help in sight".

"At first it was fine and dandy. I found the moss quite near my previous location, and so, I followed the direction that sage moss pointed and went South like a hero going on quest of exterminating demon lord for the sake of the world".

"Along the way I met various of forest inhabitants like a horned rabbit, yellow colored squirrel, two tailed monkeys, black owl, and I even met a slime".

"If you ask why didn't you kill them to level up, well just say I am always have been animal lovers. It's definitely not because of the rabbit almost leave behind a second hole in my butt". "I can't see a rabbit the same as I was before".

"After traversing the forest for quite some time, I found river at the suitable time as my body demand water or else it won't move".

"Drinking the pure water really refresh yourself as I felt like my body cleansed of impurities I didn't even know of".

"And that was the end of my luck as I caught a sight of the giant gray wolf drinking water not that far from my location".

"A gentleman that I was. I didn't want to disturb the wolf from its quality time with the river, and so I moved ever so quitely to avoid the wolf, but I seem my movement capture the wolf attention as it was looking at me".

"And so, we finally back to present" Edward thought as he finished his recollection to distract him from a desperate situation he was in.

Well maybe not that desperate as he still got a trump but hey who would use his/her trump card at the first chapter of their journey to kill a monster in the starting area, Edward thought as he was making an excuse not to use his skill.

That skill basically kill me, I don't want to use to kill a freaking gray wolf at least give me a Fenrir or Dragon, Edward thought as he started his next round of excuse.

Nearly at his limit Edward starts to entertain the thought of killing the wolf with his bare hands.

"I have 50 STR let see if it worth something", at the end of his road Edward started to like the idea more and more.

But it seems the root can't take it anymore and decide to take decision upon itself.

In other words. Edward tripped himself.

F*ck, I change my mind. I demand a redo. A root can't take decision for me, you're not even my parents Edward thought crazily as he slide over the ground.

As Edward prepared himself for the pain to come. He witness a different scene from his mind.

The wolf pierced by arrows laid weakly on the ground as the arrows stuck in its vital spots.

Relieved by his escape from death, Edward suddenly felt his strength left him.

"I am Saved" Edward said.

Feeling scared once again, Edward prepared to get his ass out of here as soon as possible. Fortunately, when he looked at the direction of that sound he saw a human and not other wolf.

The girl in front of him was a really beautiful girl with height around 1.8 meters tall, a long straight silver hair, deep red eyes like a ruby, brown skin and more importantly a pointed ear.

She is an elf! Edward shouted in his heart as identify of hero who saved him is revealed to be a dark elf.

"Are you okay?" the dark elf said to Edward as she looked at him worriedly.

"I ... I ... am fine, Edward said as he suddenly released from his trance.

The elf started observing him " why are you in the forest wearing a weird outfit".

Edward sweat suddenly pouring like crazy "I ... I am lost, Edward said as he gives the first excuse that came to his mind.

The elf looked at him suspiciously and started to touch her bow.

Panicked, Edward started to squeeze every juice in his brain to try to get out of this rabbit hole.

Suddenly brilliant idea came to his mind. He bend his body along with his knee, basically Edward prostrated himself and suddenly drop his head as low as possible " I am sorrrrrryyyyyy".
