A few days before the fireworks festival, Kotone Rindo was practically bubbling with excitement as she reviewed her plans for the event. Festivals had always been a source of joy for her, and after a busy summer vacation spent working part-time jobs to cover her tuition, this was her chance to finally relax.

"I'll invite Himerin!" she declared to herself enthusiastically.

She imagined herself in a summer yukata, debating what hairstyle to pair with it. As she daydreamed, she spotted Akaya during her part-time job on campus. The thought struck her—maybe she could invite him too. But the moment passed without her working up the courage.
