Collecting more subjects, time for an biopsy...Hehehe

Cold, empty, and lonely.

Street!

What can one expect from it? A spear appeared out of nowhere, followed by a busty winged woman and some creepy winged scoundrels with questionable fashion sense.

"That's just sloppy, Raynare. Did you really expect to cut corners and get away with it?" A deep male voice reprimanded as its originator casually walked out of the tree line. Peeking from around the tree, Rei saw that it was a middle-aged man, or at least it appeared that way from a distance, with black hair and blue eyes.

His attire consisted of black pants, shoes, and gloves; a white dress shirt; a grey trench coat; and a white ascot and black fedora to finish the hitman look.

"Dohnaseek? Were you shadowing me?" Raynare demanded.

"Yes, I was. And I must say, I am aghast at what I just saw," the newly dubbed Dohnaseek scolded.

Rei casually forced himself away from the wall just as a blue-light spear impaled the exact spot where his back had been flush against it. The spear almost immediately vanished, leaving a fist-sized hole in the wall.

That would've been a lethal hit regardless of anything that happened afterwards.

Dohnaseek continued his rant while Raynare looked at the boy in surprise. "You call yourself a senior field agent, and yet you pull stupid shit like this? It makes me wonder just how many of your previous reports have been falsified to cover your own ass."

"Shut up, you pedantic old prick!" an indignant Raynare rounded on him.

While Rei collected himself, two more figures strode out next to the male Fallen. The first was a short, blue-eyed girl with blonde hair done in twin tails. She wore a gothic Lolita dress with a green jewel embedded in the collar, complete with a frilly headpiece and stockings. Beside her was a man with white hair and red eyes, similar to Rei, who wore priestly clothes. The two seemed either disinterested or frustrated upon arrival, but Rei noticed the white-haired man perk up when he made eye contact with him.

"Mittel, Freed, did you follow me, too?" Raynare suddenly felt very self-conscious.

"Nah, we followed Dohnaseek," the blonde Fallen nonchalantly replied while inspecting her nails. "So, we've got to kill this guy, too? Meh, okay," she shrugged before manifesting a pink spear in her hand and grinning at Rei.

"Aww~ he is not a shitty devil or something related to them. But, oh well, I could still have fun chopping you! But not now; I am the bringer of justice, and I slay the evil. Bye." The crazy white-haired man said this while licking his gun strangely and running away, which almost caused the fallen angels to sweat.

"Well, Kalawerner was supposed to deal with this human because he is suspected of having sacred gear, but she hasn't returned, so he must have some clue regarding where she went," Raynare exclaimed, convinced that Kalawener had betrayed them and fled after all, and she refused to believe that she had been killed by a human.

Rei noticed this dissent and opened his mouth to speak before he quickly dodged another blue spear flying toward him. He turned back while straightening his stance again, identifying his attacker as the male Fallen.

"Good reflexes," Dohnaseek complimented while creating another light spear. "Such a shame, really."

But as the spear was about to reach him, it disappeared out of thin air, completely shocking the fallen angel.

"What was that?" Dohnaseek asked with a bit of caution.

"I denied its existence, so I basically substituted that spear with nothingness," Rei said while putting his hands in his pocket with a smirk.

"You!? How is that possible?" This Raynare spoke as she redied a relatively large spear to throw at him, but again, before she could throw the spear from her hands, she vanished, greatly startling all the fallen angels.

"Like this." Rei has applied his [Ether Field] in the surrounding area, basically granting him complete access to everything in this boundary; he didn't want the devils to know that he is fighting, which is why he decided to restrict this with a field.

Nonetheless, he is "absolute" now; he can basically do anything here.

"You know what? You came looking for your blue-haired friend, right?" Rei asked with almost a sadistic smile, causing the three fallen angels to tighten in their position.

"Well, there isn't much left of her, but I guess you can have this," Rei said as he watched a storage space in front of his tear, a bluish square appearing at the edges of the tear, and sludge of biomass falling from it, the only thing recognisable being a pair of crushed golden eyes.

The little loli with blonde hair immediately puked, not able to handle the scene, but Raynare and Dohnaseek somehow managed to stay put, probably due to experience.

"You bastard! What did you do to her?" Raynare growled in anger; Dohnaseek also strangely seemed too angry considering he was so far the calmest of all.

"Even though I did nothing else to her, she still ended up passing away after I removed a small piece of her heart. I was under the impression that a fallen angel could continue to exist without a heart. But meh! It would appear that I committed an error, which ultimately led to her passing away. But you don't have to worry about that because I removed all of the useful parts from the corpse, such as the muscles, the brain, the bones, the spine, and some organs that I need to research. These are the remaining parts, such as the fat, the hair, and the uterus, and those are the things that I didn't need, so you are free to keep them." Rei uttered these words while guffawing at the horrified and repulsed looks on their faces.

"Well, since your friend became obsolete, you will be replacing her; don't worry, I will be gentle," Rei said with a snap of his fingers, and all their eyes burst out.

"AAAAHHH!"

"MY EYES!"

"WHAT THE HELL?!

And soon the ground beneath them tore and a portal appeared, which directly threw them into his workshop, trapping them until he decided to tear them apart.

Rei deactivated his [Ether Field] and immediately felt the drain in his circuit. Considering he needs to use [Ether] to maintain the [Ether Field] instead of normal mana, which he can call forth infinitely, but still, a drain is a drain, in an instant, he filled his mana reserves, which were used to maintain the reinforcement on himself.

But before any of that, he had to study his source material. Sadly, there was only so much one could do with three fallen angels; at least now he can conduct some biopsies, but man, there is so much to do.

"It's going to be a long night," he sighed tiredly. "I might not even be functional enough for school tomorrow. Shit."
