Mary frowned, "Why are you acting weird, warrior?"
Alora took a step back cautiously as she heard this, but felt that it was definitely of no use since behind her were also the same people.
"Why do you keep calling me warrior?" Alora gulped as she asked and tried to ignore the fact that she had just hit Dorothy.
"Huh? 'Why' you ask? Well, because that's your name, isn't it?" Mary tilted her head as she asked with a small smile.
Alora sneakingly glanced down at the object that she had used to hit Dorothy.
It was a candle holder that looked to be a bit old but still looked as elegant as ever with its dull-golden-colored material giving it a more rich feel.
Alora raised the candle holder high like a baseball bat as she asked again, "If I'm a warrior, are you sure you want to fight me?"
Beth chuckled as she raised her hand and pointed her finger at the candle holder in Alora's hand.
The candle holder immediately melted and if Alora hadn't managed to throw the candle holder away on time, she might have burned her hands with the heat.
"I think we should be asking that question, warrior." Beth smiled as she warned, but the smile was as cold as the Atlantic sea.
Alora was in big trouble and the only thing she could do was smile warmly as she tried to talk her way out of here, "Let's not get into a fight like this. No need to be so serious. I was just joking."
Dorothy rubbed her head on purpose as she asked, "Are you sure you were joking?"
Alora faltered a bit but still nodded her head as she spoke, "I was just playing around, sorry for that. You're so pretty, there is no way I would want to hit you."
Dorothy seemed to be pleased with this answer as she nodded in agreement, "I know right? There is no way you can beat someone as pretty as me. Hahaha..."
Mary chuckled as she spoke, "We never knew the warrior was such a funny person."
Alora also chuckled awkwardly as she heard this. She turned her head to look behind her where she saw that the door had closed shut and there was nobody behind her anymore.
"I seem to have lost a few of my memories. Mind jogging it? Why am I called the warrior?" Alora asked awkwardly as she scratched the back of her neck.
Dorothy patted her head as she spoke, "Oh, you poor thing. It was probably that damned demon who erased your memory."
"Damned who?"
"We can't say the name." Mary seemed to be hesitant as she spoke, "Saying the name here means summoning the thing. If you say his name, he would surely appear."
Beth, "And we don't want that. Do we?"
Alora nodded as she innocently agreed with the woman, "We don't."
She was still as clueless as ever and if there was anyone who could help her, it was certainly not these three women who weren't even able to make up their own minds to choose between killing her or not.
Mary, "That's it. You are starting to come around."
Dorothy moved closer and encircled her arm around Alora as she dragged her back to the chair and made her sit down as she spoke, "I never knew the warrior would be such a young lady."
Beth enthusiastically nodded her head as she spoke, "I thought it was gonna be a really ugly old man."
It seemed that it was really easy to change the topic for these women. They were just not that attentive to things.
Alora, "Let me ask you guys again. Who is this warrior and why are you giving me that name?"
Mari smiled as she waved her hand in a circle and it was as if she was painting on a canvas made out of thin air. The area around which she circled her hand started changing and soon became something akin to a television screen, but a bit circular in size.
Dorothy stood up and walked to the circle as she blew on it. Her mouth let out a type of white smoke that only moved and distorted itself inside the circle.
"The dark woods were always a place feared by all demons. It was filled with wild, vicious demon beasts and souls that were sent there to live as 'the damned' that would forever be trapped there and unless they are killed, they'll never be freed."
The smoke inside the circle moved and broke, forming the shape of trees and some human-like figures.
"Nobody would ever want to help the damned. We were all afraid. It was the order of the royal palace. If any demon were to go to the dark forest and make any changes to it, they would be thrown into the inferno."
The smoke changed rapidly and the trees and the human-like figures merged into one to create some sort of fire that moved rapidly.
Mary put her head through the circle, making Alora almost jump out in fear. Seeing such a ghost-like face popping out of a television screen was really not a pleasant experience.
"Nobody ever dared to go against the royal palace."
Beth, who was sitting right beside her suddenly spoke up and it once again made Alora jump up in fright, "Nobody except the warrior."
When did this girl sit here...?!
Mari took back her head and the screen was clear once again and on it was a dancing smoke that transformed itself into the shape of a creature that ran around.
"Nobody knew where the warrior had come from and nobody ever saw her. One day, one of the demonic beasts came out from the dark forest and caused havoc on our lands. The beasts never come out and when the beast was pushed to go back, it refused to go back and cried instead."
Beth, "Because of you. The beast was afraid of going back because of the intruder that had kicked it out of its home. That intruder was you."
Mari nodded her head as she continued, "That was when everyone found out about this warrior who goes to the dark woods at night and terrorizes the demonic beasts there."
Alora's mouth twitched as she heard this. There was clearly something wrong with this story. It was clearly the beasts who attacked her first so why was she the one who became the villain that terrorizes these creatures...?!
She was being falsely accused!!
Cherry: I mean... You can't be a hero in everyone's story...
Cherry: *sigh* I feel bad for the beasts.
Alora:...
