Alora woke up early and for the first time in her life, she was the first one to reach her class.
She sat in the empty classroom and immediately opened her books as she started doing the assignment that was supposed to be submitted today itself.
It seemed that this assignment was the reason why she had come here this early.
While other students had stayed up all night to complete the assignment, Alora was having a nice time with the hound dogs in hell so she now had to make up for it.
If a person could just give exams and pass with good grades, it would have been such a blessing. However, in order to pass, internal assessment was also considered and with missing assignments, it was almost impossible for Alora to pass.
She still had her scholarship to keep so a drop in her ranking was not even something that she could afford.
She sighed as she cursed at herself for putting off the assignment till the very last moment.
However, the hound dogs were cute so they were definitely worth it.
Without wasting any more time, she got to work and started doing her assignment at a speed that could be considered almost humanly impossible.
In just ten minutes, she had already filled out five sheets and another student seemed to have entered the class.
"You're here early," Her classmate spoke with a bit of surprise as she looked at Alora.
"Good morning," Alora didn't even bother raising her head to look at the girl as she greeted her.
She found the girl's voice familiar and recognized her as one of her classmates but she couldn't remember her name.
"You're still doing that assignment?" The girl asked as she walked up to Alora, "Wow~ You're such a diligent student."
Alora pursed her lips into a thin line and raised her head to look at the girl who had turned the chair in front and was casually sitting down, facing Alora with a smile.
Alora was finally able to remember this girl's name. (Not really)
"I'm guessing you've already done it, Serah?" Alora clicked her tongue as she asked.
The girl chuckled as heard this and corrected her, "It's Ceira, not Serah. How can you get it wrong every single time? You should really learn to remember the names of your classmates or you might just offend someone important."
Alora internally rolled her eyes as she heard this. It wasn't really the first time that someone had warned her like this.
This college was filled with rich brats and for some reason, they thought really highly of themselves. Even if the students had never talked or had no other relations to each other, they were still supposed to remember each other's names.
This girl Ceira was also no different. She was also the daughter of a rich business tycoon and only got admitted to this university because of her connections and money.
"So have you done it or not?" Alora tilted her head as she asked.
"Of course, not," Ceira chucked as she spoke, "But I did pay someone else to do it for me."
"..." Alora was once again reminded of the fact that she sometimes really hated these rich brats.
"Putting that aside, there is something that I had wanted to ask you," Ceira leaned in closed with great interest as she spoke.
"Hmm?"
"You're the only one in class that is close to Daren. Are you two dating?"
Alora almost choked on empty air as she heard this, "Excuse me...?! What type of drugs are you on??"
"Well, not only is he handsome and rich but he's also pretty caring towards you. Isn't it only natural that you'd want to date him?" Ceira suddenly gasped as she acted worried and didn't let Alora respond as she asked, "Could it be that he turned you down? Were you friend-zoned??"
Alora didn't know why but she was suddenly feeling a little offended as she heard. Sure, she was not handsome and rich, but wasn't she also quite caring...?
"..." She suddenly remembered the times when she had stolen Daren's food.
Okay, so what if she wasn't as caring, wasn't she helpful and really nice to people?!
She remembered all the times when she had cursed the boy and kicked him away, "..."
Alora was suddenly reminded of the fact that she was the exact opposite of Daren.
"Damn it," Alora cursed under her breath.
"Oh, you poor thing~" Ceira patted Alora's head with a sigh as she tried to comfort the girl, "It's okay to be friend-zoned by him. It's okay especially because it's him."
"Eh...?" Alora frowned a little as she heard the latter part and asked, "Why is it okay because it's him?"
"Well, isn't he gay?" Ceira tilted her head as she asked and this time, Alora really did choke on empty air.
Cough! Cough!
"Was I wrong?" Ceira asked as she innocently blinked.
"What... *cough* What gives you that impression?" Alora stopped doing her assignment as she gulped and asked.
Now that Alora was thinking about it, there was a lot Daren knew about her but there was hardly anything about him that she knew.
She had already noticed the fact that the guy didn't date any girls or even look remotely interested in them, but she had never thought too much about it.
"I don't think there is any particular reason for it. Since he has never shown any interest in girls, everyone just assumes that he's gay," Ceira shrugged her shoulders as she casually spoke.
Alora didn't know if she was supposed to laugh or cry as she heard this.
"In that case, shouldn't I be a Lesbian?" Alora leaned back on the chair and pointed at herself as she clicked her and questioned.
"Eh?"
"I don't have a boyfriend either nor have I ever been interested in any," Alora pointed out as she tried to defend Daren in her own way, "So wouldn't you assume that I'm interested in girls as well?"
Ceira looked to have been a bit surprised by these words and it took her an entire minute to register it in her mind before she gave a reaction.
"If that were the case, I would have already asked you out," Ceira spoke with a chuckle, and Alora was suddenly left stunned.
"I'm just kidding lol. But you are quite cool," Ceira complimented Alora before she stood up and went back to her own seat.
