The Kingdom of food-part 4

Both Elisa and Transformer followed Neo's steps carefully, for they were startled by giant mushrooms that appeared in front of them. Even Transformer had been Elisa's toxicology class many times, he couldn't tell if those are poisonous or not. Those mushrooms are huge and he doesn't know who to transform in order to reach the top. He thought of a giant, but then he remembered that the biggest giant that he had ever heard was 2.1 meters tall. Meanwhile, Elisa tried to breathe and smell, so that she could notice some differences between poisonous and non-poisoned mushroom through the muddy soil. Elisa looked above, as her mind seemed to remind her that it's better to look at the pattern of mushroom's top when one wants to detect the poisonous mushroom. However, she discovered that it was impossible. Elisa doubted about the name of "the Kingdom of food". if she had to put a name for this place, she would put "the kingdom of mushrooms".Neo gazed backward, he beamed lightly when he saw those confused faces.

"Most of the mushrooms here are Cantharellus Cibarius, they are non-poisonous." He Smiled

"Although those mushrroms have alike appearance to Cantharellus Cibarius, but they should be smaller. " According to the class given in Titan's high school, Transformer prompted his doubt, while Elisa felt that she became an outsider in the conversation. Then, Elisa held a breathe and asked, "how have they grown up so big?"

"Patience. About several hundred years ago, the human who lived there began to plant lots of seeds. The day after days, those seeds became plants. When they lived here, they often shave and trim them. Therefore, plants you see here didn't use to be so huge." Through Neo's eyes, Elisa sensed a familiar feeling; it seemed to be a feeling that had always accompanied her. She couldn't remember the name of it. Seeing the deepest side of Neo's eyes, she decided not to think about it. Through the deepest side of those eyes, Elisa thought; sometimes, it is better to let things remain unknown.

"So, what happened next?" With Transformer's doubt, the silence was broken

"It became the Kingdom of food due to their endless efforts. Later, it became a mandatory food base for pilots. I became a six-stars pilot, the highest rank in the aviation world, so I was assigned to administrate this land. Indeed, this kingdom of food was only a small part of the whole aviation land. Although, it became empty." Elisa sensed that grey colors filled Neo's Eyes

"How about other pilots?" Elisa asked, willing to change the conversation topic

"Probably flying in other places. I haven't seen them for about fifty years. For people like you, it should be a pretty long time. Neo answered with loneliness in his eyes

Listening to Neo's answer, Elisa chose to keep in silence. She was afraid to reach the farther way of the story, she wanted to avoid those hidden scars.
