Uninvited Guest

The man removed the mask that was covering his face, revealing his black, shoulder length hair that covered half of his surreal face. His appearance had some hidden expression even though he just staring blankly at the witch King and his wife whom he was dancing with some minutes ago.

"Who are you" Heanad asked frowning, the man didn't look familiar to him and yet he could feel a stronger magic in this man, he is the king, he was the one and only powerful being in this race. But he could not doubt that this man was more stronger and powerful than him.

"Your highness" the man bowed which unexpectedly felt odd to Heanad, he had no expression on his face and it felt as if nothing happened a while ago.

"I am sorry for coming uninvited" He said as he raised his head, his look was the opposite of his words.

"Who are you?, witch" Heanad asked, it was obvious that he's curious to know who this dangerous man was.

"I am not a witch" he said and everyone in the room aimed their dark magic in form of weapons at him, he was an intruder, how did he get in. Everyone was on guard excluding Rena who stood behind Heanad.

Heanad pushed the man backwards with his dark magic which sent the man flying backwards before his back hit a pillar. The man stood up immediately, there was not a single scratch on his body, a blue smoke enveloped his body while his silver eyes shone brighter,he looked angry.

Every guards in the room dropped their weapons and knelt down while the witches knelt and bowed down surprising Heanad and Rena. No one dared to look at him expect the two of course, they were unaware of who he was.

The man walked forward towards them with blue smoke circling around his body, Heanad unconsciously stepped backwards, holding Rena firmly.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"I'm Ethan, a Xar" he said and stopped right in front of a maid holding a glass of wine while bowing down, the maid was shaking with fear. He took the wine from her and sipped from it.

"Xar!" Heanad eyes widened at realisation and he immediately bowed including Rena. Xar were superior among all the races, they were like Kings to the witches, but the witches have their own king which was Heanad as for now, but no one as ever seen a Xar before, they only existed in histories years back. And to think that a Xar, probably one of the most powerful one was here, in the witch kingdom made him curious to know why he was here, he hoped he was here for something that will be to his advantage, especially his plan. Or this Xar new about his plan, and he was either here to help him or destroy him, which was forbidden. Xars could not kill a witch king with their preternatural powers.

Noticing the silence in the ballroom, he squinted around and frowned. Why did this Xar have to come today of all days, and why here of all places. Was this Xar here to disgrace him in the presence of his people just by making him bow down. The thought of it angered him, how he wished he was more powerful that even the Xars.

"You might be surprised by my presence, and why I am here. I hope I am not making anyone uncomfortable." Ethan said as he shot the king a scrutinizing gaze while he walked elegantly round the king and his wife giving off an intimidating aura.

"Of course not, we are pleased by having such a honorable uninvited guest among us today. May I ask why you are here?" Heanad asked, he would be very pleased if Ethan came to join him in his course, that means that he has a very powerful ally by his side to defeat the races especially that damned Lycan prince.

"I came here to warn you, Heanad"
