Goten Vs Granolah Part 2

Granolah fires multiple Ki blasts at Goten, each one moving faster than the other. Goten dodges and avoids them, slowly adapting to Granolahs firing patterns. The Saiyan then quickly dashes up in the air and kicks Granolah in the chest, launching him through a tree, with Goten charging in with a follow up attack.

Granolah quickly stops himself and wraps his scarf around another tree, swinging around and kicking Goten across the forest. Goten stops his momentum, then blocks a punch from Granolah. Goten quickly perry's the punch and throws a kick. Granolah blocks the kick, but can barely hold up his defense. The sniper quickly jumps back, gaining distance from Goten, thinking to himself.

"What's with him? He's not like the Saiyan's I've seen before? His attacks are aggressive, but there's no malice, no ill intent. It's like he doesn't want to hurt me." Granolah thinks to himself.

Goten charges foward, then dashes up into the air. Granolah fires a Ki blast above his head, but Goten quickly moves out of the way, landing on the ground. The sniper fires two consecutive Ki blasts, with Goten again dodging. This angers Granolah, and when Goten gets close enough, he lands a devastating gut punch, causing him to cough up blood.

Goten grits his teeth and quickly recovers, and fires a Ki blast at close range. Granolah barely dodges, his cheek getting burned and he launches another attack at the Saiyan. Goten is able to block the punch by Granolah but gets knocked into the river.

"Man, this guy's tough." Goten thinks as he's in the water.

At that moment, he sees multiple Ki blasts heading straight for him. Goten quickly swims away, avoiding the ki blasts, as Granolah follows, firing more and more Ki blasts. The Saiyan then jumps down a waterfall, avoiding the rest of the blasts. Granolah then flies higher, aiming a more powerful Ki blast, waiting for Goten to emerge from the water. As soon as Goten flies up from the water, Granolah fires a massive Ki blast straight towards him.

"Crap! Can't dodge in time!" Goten says.

Goten then raises his arms to shield himself from the blast. He slowly gets pushed back, struggling to keep the blast at bay. He let's out a loud yell, as the Ki blast explodes, surprising Granolah. The explosion causes a large splash, sending Goten flying back onto the ground. As Goten catches his breath, he slowly gets to his feet while Granolah lands infront of him.

"I admit. It's surprising how strong you are. But- no matter how strong you are, you won't be able to escape my wrath." Granolah says.

Goten smiles.

"Well, you are strong, no doubt about it. But-I don't plan on loosing this fight." Goten says.

Granolah scowls, still not understanding Goten, then rushes at him with a kick. Goten catches his leg, then throws him away. Granolah flips to his feet and shoots a Ki blast. Goten knocks it out of the way, but Granolah catches him off guard by appearing infront of him. He goes for an attack aiming for his vital point in his stomach again, but Goten catches it inches away from his stomach.

As Goten keeps the attack away from his stomach, he smiles and starts to charge up his Ki, shocking Granolah. Goten then goes Super Saiyan two, pushing his opponent back.

"Another transformation?" Granolah asks.

Goten smirks, then disappears. Granolah is surprised, quickly putting up his guard. Goten then appears behind him, kicking him in the back. Granolah quickly stops himself, but when he turns around, Goten is gone again.

"Where did he go now?" Granolah thinks to himself.

Goten appears beside him, shocking him. The sniper tries to take aim as fast as he can, but Goten grabs his wrist and kicks him in the gut, launching him up in the air. Granolah gets frustrated and fires a Ki blast, from the air. Goten doesn't move, letting it hit him dead on, causing an explosion. When the dust clears, it's revealed that Goten hasn't taken any damage. As Granolah is stunned by this, Goten flies up and kicks him in the head, sending him crashing to the ground.

Granolah slowly gets to his feet, exhausted and almost completely out of energy. Goten slowly lands on the ground, dropping to his base form.

"It's over, Granolah." Goten says.

Anger flares up in Granolahs eyes.

"Shut up!"

"We can talk, now that the fights over." Goten says.

"I SAID, SHUT UP!" Granolah yells, as he uses what little strength he has left to punch Goten in the forehead.

Goten could've easily dodged the attack but he didn't move an inch, he doesn't even blink a blood drips from his head.

"You Saiyans slaughter my entire race! My planet! My friends! my mother! All gone because you people and Frieza! Don't you dare talk to me like you're innocent!"

Goten sees the rage in Granolahs eyes and sighs.

"I'm sorry about your people. I couldn't imagine something like that happening to me." Goten says.

This shocks Granolah, never thinking in a million years that he'd get an apology from a Saiyan.

"I've heard stories, from my brother. About my uncle... About a guy named Nappa... Even about Vegeta when he first came to Earth. I knew Saiyan's weren't angels, we've done bad things in the past and I am sorry about that. But believe me, we have changed. We're not bad people anymore." Goten says.

These words cause Granolah to feel conflicted, not knowing how to respond or even what to think.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better? The Cerealians are still gone, because of you!" Granolah says.

"No. Not because of him..." A voice says.

Vegeta lands in front of the two young men.

"Because of me." Vegeta says.

Both Granolah and Goten are surprised as Vegeta steps forward to face Granolah.

"This boy had nothing to do with what happened to your race... The blood isn't on his hands. It's on mine... I was apart of the squad that invaded your planet."

Granolahs eyes widen as he aims his fingers at Vegeta's head.

"You... you were there?" Granolah asks with anger in his eyes.

Vegeta keeps a straight face.

"Yes. And I showed no mercy."

Granolah channels the last bit of Ki he has left to his finger tips. Goten tries to intervene, but Vegeta stops him.

"Fighting was the only way of life for my people, so we had a way of racking up sin after sin. My father built his kingdom atop countless deaths...And I was no different. That is- Until I met an idiot Saiyan, who showed me a different path. Now, I protect this planet and its people, including my wife and children."

Granolah grits his teeth.

"But I'm not naive. I know it doesn't make up for the various crimes my people have racked up. So if you're going to punish someone, punish me. But not them...They had nothing to do with it, they are innocent."

Granolah is stunned with conflicting emotions. After a tense few moments that feel like days, Granolah drops his hand and falls to the ground.

"Damnit!" Granolah yells.

He then turns to Vegeta, still carrying resentment towards him.

"This doesn't change anything, Saiyan. This doesn't mean I forgive you... I just don't have any use for revenge anymore."

Vegeta nods, still feeling the weight of his peoples crime. Granolah then turns to Goten.

"Your names- Goten, right?" He asks.

Goten is surprised for a moment.

"Yeah." Goten replies.

Granolah stays silent for a moment.

"I apologize. I was consumed by rage and vengeance. You didn't deserve to be attacked."

Goten smiles.

"Don't worry about it. As long as we can spar again." Goten says.

Granolah smirks, as Goten chuckles, putting a close to this battle.
