Family Reunion

Hours before Goku arrived on Earth, he was still in Otherworld, checking on King Yemma, who can barely stand after that attack from Janemba.

"Are you alright, Yemma?" Goku asks.

"No, I'm not alright. Not even close. Who the heck blew up my check in station with me inside?" Yemma asks.

"Well, King Kai says says it was a guy calling himself Janemba from Hell. He must be crazy strong to send an attack all the way up here." Goku says with a smile.

King Yemma then realizes what this means.

"Oh no. This is terrible. Do you know what this means?" King Yemma asks.

Goku pauses for a moment.

"No, not really." Goku replies.

"With the check in station gone, there's nothing keeping people here! Which mean that everyone and anyone from hell are now free to run wild on earth!" Yemma says.

"Oh. Yeah that's bad." Goku says.

King Yemma then grabs him by the shoulders.

"Goku, you must go out and make sure they return to hell! I'll make sure the check in station is rebuilt, protect the innocent."

Goku nods and uses his instant transmission, sensing an energy he hasn't felt in a long time. He then teleports to the familiar Ki, while King Yemma yells at his workers to rebuild the check in station.

Meanwhile, in an open field on Earth, the Saiyan Raditz stands alone, confused at what's going on.

"This- looks like Earth. But how?" Raditz asks himself.

At that moment, Goku appears infront of him.

"So it was you, Raditz." Goku says.

Raditz is stunned to see his little brother infront of him.

"Kakarot? Is that really you?"

Goku gets a serious look on his face.

"I hope you're ready. This won't be like last time we fought." Goku says, taking a fighting stance.

Raditz quickly puts his hands up towards his brother.

"Wait, hold on, I don't wish to fight you."

Goku is surprised by this.

"You don't?" Goku asks.

Raditz sighs, then walks closer to Goku.

"I spent my entire life under the heel of others. Being told I was worthless, even by people I called comrades. I accepted that, and believed I would be nothing but a lower class warrior. But then I heard about you, and how you defeated Nappa, the ginyu force, and even Frieza, I couldn't believe it. In only a short time since we fought, you improved so much."

He then puts his hands on Goku's shoulders.

"I spent so long in hell. And I thought about all the things I've done, that I was forced to do. To you! My own brother! Kakarot... I don't expect forgiveness. I just want you to know... how proud I am of you. You're proof, that even us deemed as worthless can become great warriors." Raditz says with tears in his eyes.

Goku smiles at his brother, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"What happened between us was a long time ago, and I can see now that you've really changed. I've never been that good at holding grudges anyway. I forgive you Raditz, and I hope you can forgive me for not coming to find you sooner."

Goku then extends his fist to his brother and the two share a fist bump.

"Thank you, Kakarot." Raditz says.

Goku grins.

"Hey, now that you're a good guy, you can help me with sending people back to hell." Goku says.

Raditz nods, then Goku feels something off in the distance.

"Kakarot, is something wrong?" Raditz asks.

"Two people are coming our way. Get ready, we might have a fight on our hands."

At that moment, the Saiyan Warrior Bardock and his wife Gine appear infront of the two.

"You were right, Bardock they are here." Gine says.

Goku is confused while while Raditz is overwhelmed by emotions.

"Mother? Father? Is that really you?" Raditz asks.

Gine has tears in her eyes while Bardock smiles.

"Raditz, you've gotten so big." Gine says.

"Hello son." Bardock says.

Raditz then hugs them both while Bardock notices Goku standing in the back. Bardock doesn't say a word and just walks over to his youngest son. Gine soon sees Goku as well and she does the same. The two Saiyan's look at Goku for a moment, before Bardock reaches out, putting his hand on Goku's head.

"Kakarot? Is that... really you?"

At that moment, this triggers a memory in Goku, seeing himself as a baby being sent off Planet Vegeta by Bardock and Gine.

"I... remember them. These are my..." Goku thinks to himself.

Tears start to form in his eyes, just as his mother Gine.

"You sent me away all those years ago. You said you'd come for me, but... Planet Vegeta was destroyed, so you never... You did it to protect me." Goku says.

Both Bardock and Gine smile, as Gine reaches over and wipes Goku's tears away.

"My Kakarot. It really is you." Gine says.

"We have a lot to catch up. This is your mother Gine. And my name, is Bardock."

Flash foward to present day at the lookout, after Goku explains everything.

"And that's everything, pretty much." Goku says.

Gohan and Goten then looks over at Bardock and Gine.

"So this is our-" Gohan says.

"Grandma! Grandpa!" Goten yells, hugging both of them.

Gine cries uncontrollably, while Bardocks start to blush. Gohan and Goku smile, as Raditz approaches Goku's oldest son.

"Listen... the last time we saw each other, I-"

Gohan smiles, putting his hand on his uncles shoulder.

"It's alright, dad said you changed, and that's good enough for me." Gohan says.

Raditz smiles, grateful for the second chance he has. Vegeta then approaches Raditz, surprising him.

"Pr-Prince Vegeta?"

Vegeta stays silent for a moment.

"I apologize... For how Nappa and I treated you back then." Vegeta says.

Raditz is stunned by this.

"Did Vegeta just apologize? To me?" Raditz think to himself.

At that moment, everyone senses a lot of evil energies off in the distance.

"I hate to interrupt the reunion, but I think we have company." Piccolo says.

In an unknown location on Earth, Frieza steps forward with an evil smile on his face.

"Well, looks like we've made it to this miserable rock." Frieza says.

King Cold, Cell, and Demigra step beside him.

"Now I can finally get my revenge on that Saiyan, Goku." Frieza says.

"Not to mention that miserable Saiyan with a sword." King Cold says.

Cell laughs.

"Please Frieza, you both sound pathetic." Cell says.

Frieza scowls, but smirks.

"I think the most pathetic thing is actually loosing to Goku's son."

Both Cell and Demigra take offense to that comment, but King Cold calms them down.

"Gentlemen, calm yourself. We have a rare opportunity right now to make our enemies pay. Instead of fighting amongst each other, we should take out on this world and it's worthless people."

Both Cell and Frieza stare each other down for a moment longer before Frieza pulls away and folds his arms.

"I suppose you're right, father." Frieza says.

Frieza and King Cold then turns to an army of Frieza soldiers and Saiyan's that are still loyal to Frieza and King Cold.

"Soldiers! Move out!" Frieza says.
