Elder Kai

While Goten trains with the Z-Sword, Supreme Kai gives Kibito a smug smile.

"Well Kibito, it would seem as though you underestimated our young friend." Supreme Kai says.

Kibito is still shocked at how Goten is swinging the Z-Sword with barely any trouble.

"I still don't believe it. How can a mortal possibly wield the legendary Z-Sword, something that the Kai's couldn't do?" Kibito thinks to himself.

"How does wielding the Z-Sword feel, Goten?" Supreme Kai asks.

Goten pauses for a moment, looking down at the sword.

"It is a heck of a workout to swing this thing around, but I don't feel all that different." Goten says

Supreme Kai is surprised to hear this.

"Really? But surely the sword has brought out your fullest potential by now." Supreme Kai says.

Goten shrugs, worrying Supreme Kai and causing him to think for a moment.

"Perhaps we should put the sword to the test."

The Kai then summons black cube above his head, confusing Goten.

"This is the hardest known metal in all of the universe. It's called Kaishin. This will be a perfect test for the Z-Swords power." Supreme Kai says.

Goten smirks, preparing to swing the sword.

"That sounds good to me. Ready when you are, Supreme Kai." Goten

Supreme Kai smirks, throwing the block of Kaishin, using telepathy, at Goten while Kibito watches in anticipation. The Saiyan swings the sword at the metal cube, clashing for a moment before the Z-Sword snaps in half. Both the Supreme Kai and Kibito are stunned by the sight of of the broken Z-Sword.

"Huh. I guess it's the Z- Dagger now." Goten jokingly says nonchalantly.

"Please no! Tell me it's not true Kibito!" Supreme Kai says with a shocked expression.

"It's true! It snapped in two!" Kibito yells.

Goten laughs.

"I guess it's called the hardest metal in the universe for a reason." Goten says.

"But the Z-Sword is supposed to unlock immense power!" Supreme Kai says.

"With that sword, you can not be rivaled!" Kibito says.

Goten looks at his hands for a moment, before throwing quick jabs and a kick.

"Well, training with the sword has made me a lot stronger and faster. Maybe the Z-Sword done it's job already?" Goten says.

Supreme Kai smiles.

"Yes, maybe you do have enough strength to defeat Demigra." Supreme Kai says.

At that moment, what's left of the Z-Sword begins to glow and fly up in the air.

"Uh, what's going on?" Goten asks.

"I'm- not sure." Supreme Kai says.

At that moment, a bright light erupts from the sword and a short, elderly woman, wearing a similar outfit as the Supreme Kai appears. Goten, Kibito, and Supreme Kai are confused by her sudden appearance.

"Hey, Supreme Kai, I think your Grandma's here." Goten says.

A confused Supreme Kai approaches the elderly woman.

"Excuse me, ma'am, who are you?" Supreme Kai asks.

The Elderly woman scowls at the question.

"What, are you blind? Take a look at the suit, kid. I'm a Supreme Kai, fifteen generations ago."

Kibito and the current Supreme Kai are shocked to hear this.

"What!? Fifteen generations ago!?" The Supreme kai says.

"T-Two Supreme Kai!?" Kibito yells.

Meanwhile Goten is confused by this.

"How were you trapped in the Z-Sword?" Kibito asks.

The Elder Kai stays silent for a moment.

"I had a run in with the God of Destruction. Lord Beerus."

Fear overcomes The current Supreme Kai and Kibito.

"L-L-Lord Beerus!?" They both say

"Who's Lord Beerus?" Goten asks.

The Elder Kai looks at the young Saiyan for a moment, taken back by his presents.

"Why is there a mortal doing in the Realm of the Kai's?" The Elder Kai asks.

"This is Son Goten. We are trying to train him for a confrontation with the Demon God Demigra."

The Elder Kai thinks for a moment

"I see. So that punk Demigra has come back. And this boy is supposed to stop him."

Elder Kai examines Goten closely, confusing the young man.

"Hello, ma'am." Goten says with a smile.

"You have impressive power as it is, guess I should expect nothing less from a Saiyan. But you have even more power just bubbling underneath the surface. I can bring your sleeping power out." The Elder Kai says.

Goten gets an intrigued look on his face.

"Really? But I thought the Z-Sword was supposed to do that."

"Of course not. Only I have the ability to take a person beyond his limits. It'll be more than enough to defeat that punk ass Demigra."

"Awsome!" Goten yells.

"Relax there, kid. You'll have to go through training to prove you're worthy of my power. That is, if you're up for it." The Elder Kai says.

Goten smirks determinedly, cracking his knuckles.

"Bring it on." Goten says.

Elder Kai smirks.

"A young mortal with the power to break the Z-Sword. I can do something with you. Yes you have great potential." The Elder Kai says.

She then turns to Supreme Kai

"I always thought it would be a Kai that broke the Z-Sword and freed me. The Kai's being rescued by mere mortals. Who would've thought the younger generation would go soft."

As Supreme Kai looks ashamed of himself, being comforted by Kibito, Goten and the Elder Kai goes to do training.

The Elder Kai and Goten hold themselves up above a spike with one finger, channeling their energy, sweat dripping down the young Saiyan's face while the Elder Kai is easily holding herself.

"Use your Ki to float above the spike....Good now we'll hold this for twenty hours." Elder Kai says.

Goten grits his teeth, focusing increasingly hard on balancing himself, channeling a large amount of energy to hold himself.

"Is that all?" Goten asks, causing Elder Kai to smirk.

After that, Goten prepares to block an Ki blast from Elder Kai.

"Good. Careful, this could kill you." Elder Kai says.

Goten is a little surprised by this as Elder Kai fires a Ki blast that sends him flying to the ground.

"We're not going to stop this until you don't move an inch. NOW GET UP!" Elder Kai says.

Later, Goten and Elder Kai hike up a mountain, while chains made out of Kaishin are wrapped around his ankles. As he jumps up another step, he slips but quickly catches himself, holding himself up on the edge of the mountain. The Elder Kai then jumps down and starts landing multiple punches into Gotens stomach. Goten grits his teeth, then throws a kick that the Elder Kai easily dodges, jumping up high above Goten.

"Does it hurt?! Did you come all the way here to half ass your training? Cause if you did, you might as well go back home to get slaughtered by Demigra and his minions." Elder Kai says.

Goten pulls himself together, thinking about everyone that needs him, then continues to climb up the mountain.

Meanwhile, Goku watches with King Kai.

"Wow, this Old Kai is way tougher than you or Master Roshi ever was." Goku says.

"Yeah. She's definitely a bit of a ball buster. I feel sorry for your boy." King Kai says

After all the days of training, Goten stands infront of the Elder Kai, ragged clothes. The Elder Kai smirks.

"Not bad, for a dimwitted Mortal." The Elder Kai says.

Goten chuckles, rubbing the back of his head.

"So, what's next?" Goten asks.

Elder Kai stays silent for a moment.

"Next is... you take my life." The Elder Kai says.

Goten is shocked by this.

"Once you take my life, your potential will be fully released and you will gain enough power to defeat Demigra."

Goten thinks for a moment, then smiles.

"Ok. Well in that case, I give up." Goten says.

Elder Kai eyes widen for a moment.

"You helped get stronger, Grandma Kai. I've only gotten this far because of you. If I have to kill someone who taught me something useful just to gain power, then- I give up." Goten says.

The Elder Kai looks at Goten then smiles.

"Congratulations, Son Goten. You've passed."

Goten is surprised to hear this.

"Come on, kid. You think I'd unlock someones potential if they were willing to kill their master. So, you pass."

Goten smiles, jumping up in the air to cheer.

"Now- follow me. And you'll remember everything that went through your head at this moment." Elder Kai says.

Goten nods, walking into a cave nearby. The two sit down infront of each other, preparing for the ritual.

"Now... stand perfectly still. Clear your mind. Focus your spirit. And concentrate."

Goten closes his eyes, following the Elder Kai's instructions. Energy starts to radiate from Elder Kai, spreading over to Goten. A bright light appears from the cave, catching Supreme Kai and Kibito's attention.

"I hope the Elder Kai's ritual ends soon. I fear that times running out." Supreme Kai says

Meanwhile, on Earth, a crack starts to form in the ground and the sky turns red. At that moment, Many Demons begin to rise from the ground, including Demigra.

"It's time for the reign... OF THE DEMON GOD!" Demigra declares.
