All Or Nothing Gamble

Soon, Goten and Beerus make it to an open area, far from any people or wildlife. As the two face each other down, Beerus is surprised by Gotens calm and focused appearance.

"He's keeping both his mind and his body steady. If he's afraid, he's doing a pretty good job at hiding it. Well, let's see if he's the Saiyan God I've been looking for." Beerus thinks to himself.

Goten then notices his left hand shaking, quickly clenching his fist to stop.

"I know he's strong. Probably the strongest guy I've ever faced. But if he's a threat- then I have to do everything I can to put him down. Right here, right now."

In a blink of an eye, Beerus appears infront of Goten, surprising the young man. The God throws multiple punches that Goten is barely able to dodge or block. Soon Beerus lands an uppercut and punch to his gut.

"Come on Saiyan! Show me something worthy of a God!" Beerus yells.

The God quickly throws a punch, but Goten is able to quickly avoid it and land a punch to his jaw. After a brief pause, Beerus starts laughing, taking Goten by surprise.

"I don't know if you are the Saiyan God or not. But one things for sure, you're certainly going to be fun!" Beerus says.

Beerus charges at Goten with great speed that Goten can barely keep up with. The God throws a punch that Goten blocks, but gets launched across the sky. Goten quickly regains his balance in the air and fires a ki blast that Beerus eats, continuing to charge at him. Goten grits his teeth and throws a kick, but Beerus flips over it, landing a kick of his own into Gotens ribs, sending him falling to the ground. The Saiyan slowly stands to his feet, in great pain, as Beerus floats down infront of him. As it looks like the end, Goten smirks.

"I knew you were strong. But I didn't think it be over this quickly." Goten says.

"You are certainly strong, one of the strongest mortals I've ever come across. But I demand retribution. My food gets knocked to the ground. And the Saiyan God isn't here. It's time to punish earth."

Goten is confused by what Beerus just said.

"Saiyan God?"

Beerus then suddenly appears infront of Goten again and raises his hand towards him. Goten tries to fight back, but is too hurt.

"No... I have to- do something... People are- depending on you! You have to- MOVE!" Goten thinks to himself.

"Don't worry mortal. You shall die with your honor intact, knowing that you met your end by a God."

At that moment, Gotens eyes begin to glow bright white and he quickly grabs Beerus by the arm, causing his Ki blast to be fired towards the sky.

"What?" Beerus says.

Goten then looks at him with a cold expression on his face, energy flowing all around him and the entire ground begins to crumble and shake. At that moment Goten punches Beerus, sending him flying. The attack doesn't seem to hurt the God as he quickly flips to his feet with a smile on his face.

"Well, seems like this Saiyan has more to offer me."

Goten rushes Beerus at full speed, moving faster than he has ever moved. Beerus throws a punch, but Goten dodges it and punches Beerus across the jaw. The Saiyan then kicks Beerus in the chin and punches him in the gut. Goten continues to land powerful strikes on Beerus, surprising the God of Destruction. Meanwhile, Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks, and Bulla watches from a distance.

"Amazing. He actually has Lord Beerus on the ropes." Vegeta say

"Somehow he's managed to kick it up to an even higher gear." Piccolo says.

"Alright! Kick his ass, Goten!" Trunks and Bulla yell.

Goten continues to land strikes on Beerus, kicking him up into the air. He then jumps up and charges up a Kamehameha.

"KA! ME! HA! ME! HA!"

Goten fires the giant blast point blank into Beerus's face, causing a massive explosion. As the smoke begins to clear, Goten goes back to his base form, out of breath and out of energy, landing on the ground.

"Is he-"

The smoke fully clears, revealing that Beerus didn't take any damage from that attack, surprising everyone. The God floats down infront of Goten who can barely stand. Goten smiles through his exhaustion.

"Not even a scratch, huh? You're seriously amazing."

"Impressive show. You're certainly the strongest Saiyan I've come across today. But this proves that you're not the Saiyan God either."

Goten is confused by all of this.

"Who... Who are you?" Goten asks.

Beerus smile grows more sinister.

"I am Lord Beerus. God of Destruction."

"God of Destruction? You're a God?" Goten asks.

"That's right. I only came to this planet to find the Saiyan God, who was supposed to be my rival. But all I got was disrespect and delicious food on the ground before I could even get a bite. Now this planet shall meet its end."

At that moment, Beerus starts charging up his energy, preparing to destroy the earth. Whis looks over and sees this, then turns to the chef.

"I'm going to need this to go." Whis says with a smile.

"We have to do something! We can't just let him do this!" Bulla yells.

Goten thinks to himself for a moment, trying to figure out what to do to somehow save everyone. At that moment a familiar voice is heard in the distance.

"Hold it!" The voice says.

Everyone looks over and sees Elder Kai.

"Grandma Kai?" Goten says.

Beerus snarls at Elder Kai.

"Elder Kai. Who the hell freed you from the Z-Sword? And what are you doing here anyway."

"I here to offer you a solution to your little Saiyan God problem." Elder Kai says.

Beerus pauses for a moment.

"I'm listening." Beerus says.

"A long time ago, A Saiyan Warrior was born with God Ki. He was the first and only Saiyan God in history."

Beerus scowls.

"And how does that supposed to stop me from destroying this planet?" Beerus asks.

"There's a way you can make a Saiyan God now. By giving this boy God Ki."

As Goten is confused, Beerus laughs.

"You're joking, right? This Saiyan maybe be strong but his mortal body could not possibly handle God Ki. He wouldn't survive the process." Beerus says.

"He maybe a mortal, but I believe that this boy has the potential to enter the realm of the God's and even surpass them." Elder Kai says.

Beerus thinks for a moment.

"Hey, Saiyan, what do you think about all of this?" Beerus asks.

Goten doesn't answer for a moment, still slowly taking everything in.

"If you survive the process. And that's a pretty big if... you'd gain the powers of a God. You'd be able to give me the challenge that I desire. If you don't die."

Goten gets a determined look on his face, forcing himself to stand to his feet.

"I don't know exactly what's going on. But if it means I can protect my planet and the people I care about, I'll do it. And I'll beat you." Goten says.

Beerus stares at Goten for a moment, soon smiling at him.

"Whis." Beerus calls out.

Whis soon appears beside Beerus and summons a bright ball of energy out of his staff, handing it to the God of Destruction.

"This is God Ki. If this old bag is right and if your body fully adapts to this energy, you'll become a Saiyan God. I'll give you three of your earths months, then I'll be back and I'll be looking for a fight. If I win or if you fail to become a Saiyan God, I'll destroy this entire planet. Do we have a deal?" Beerus asks.

Goten stares at Beerus for a moment, agreeing to the God's demands. Beerus then hands the energy to Elder Kai.

"Let's go, Whis. I believe I'll take a nap before it's time to come back to this planet."

"As you wish, my lord." Whis says.

The two soon vanishes, while Goten stares at the God Ki that is in Elder Kai's hands, thinking about everything that just happened.
