Dabura

The group assaulting Babidi's spaceship waited in the third level for their next opponent to arrive through the door. Raditz knew in the original series Dabura fought third against Gohan, but things being different; he expected anyone to show up. If the Demon King was, in fact Babidi's strongest warrior, then it would be best to eliminate him early.

The Supreme Kai was still stunned that the group had fought through the ship to the third level with relative ease. Even though he needed to push himself against the first opponent, Raditz effortless handled the next. In the Kai's opinion, the group's overall strength was still fully operational, not to mention the healing beans Raditz carried. The Supreme Kai resigned himself to learning more about the Saiyan and how he came to rule an empire. Kibito had similar thoughts as his master. He also couldn't believe that mortals would gain such strength while they weren't paying attention.

When the white door with the demon mark symbol on it opened, the Supreme Kai was greeted by a person he wasn't planning on seeing yet, Dabura. The Demon King proudly stepped out of the doorway with his white, bat-cut, cape flowing behind him. Once Dabura arrived in the middle of the room, he stopped and crossed his arms, smirking at the fighters.

"This is bad everyone," the Supreme Kai said through gritted teeth, "We should fight him together. The stories of his strength are legendary in the Demon Realm."

"I agree." Piccolo said, "I can sense that his power is greater than Cell's."

"I can take him!" Reiss volunteered. "It might be fun."

"What?" the Supreme Kai was again stunned, "How can you say you want to fight the Demon King for fun, this is serious!"

The Kai thought sending Reiss would only accomplish getting the young man injured, along with lowering the group's power. He knew the blue haired teen was strong enough to power through his paralysis, but Dabura was a different story.

"The Supreme Kai is right. You'll only end up getting yourself hurt, boy." Kibito said. The Kai's assistant tried to talk Reiss out of his decision to fight alone, fearing the worst.

Reiss harshly glared at Kibito, staring daggers into the well meaning assistant following his remarks. Kibito's eyes widened in confusion over what suddenly came over the teen. Reiss's arm seemed to flicker momentarily resulting in Kibito being sent flying back into the wall of the room. The long haired Kai slumped to the floor in pain with blood oozing from his face.

Raditz curiously stared as his son menacingly approached his downed victim. Kibito scramble to get back on his feet following the hit. The damage the half-Saiyan was capable of inflicting was greater than the assistant Kai imagined. Even as the blue haired teen loomed over him the fear of the Saiyan, now rooted in his heart, caused Kibito to be incapable of standing.

"Never call me 'boy' again, Kai." Reiss's voice dripped with venom. "Be thankful all I owed you was a punch in the face."

Kibito quickly nodded his head, finally understanding what mistake he made. After seeing that Kibito understood,, Reiss quickly moved to the center of the room, appearing face to face with Dabura.

"You'll be fighting me." Reiss said as he crossed his arms, "I hope you won't be a waste of my time."

"Be careful of his spit. Dabura uses it as a powerful weapon. If it hits you, you'll be turned to stone." the Supreme Kai warned.

"I like your attitude." Dabura laughed, "It's too bad it won't be able to save you."

The Demon King attacked with a kick as soon as he finished his sentence. The high speed attack was aimed directly into the ribs of the teen. Reiss reacted to the attack by blocking with his forearm, effortlessly stopping the kick.

"I really thought you were supposed to be special." the teen sounded let down.

Dabura withdrew his leg and jumped back, putting some distance between himself and the teen. He was pleased his foe was capable of blocking his attack. The Demon King didn't put his full power behind the attack, but many people died to strikes of lesser power before. He wanted to draw out the teens power to break the seal containing Buu.

"Reiss kill him without going all out." Raditz ordered. He understood that Babidi could use his power to capture the excess Ki given off to feed to Buu's seal.

Reiss nodded to his father in acknowledgment of his command. He knew it should still be possible to handle Dabura without relying on his full power, but it would be difficult. Dabura heard Raditz's words to his son, but didn't think the teen would be capable of holding back.

Dabura's Ki rose as he cloaked himself in a thick red aura. Babidi could see from the crystal ball that Dabura was prepared to use his full strength fighting the intruders. It was a good sign that the enemies had high enough energy levels to cause Dabura to decide to go all out. It meant that it had become that much easier to release Majin Buu.

The tiny wizard chanted a spell into his crystal ball to change the location of the battle. It wouldn't do him any good for the ship to get destroyed during the battle. Babidi changed the battle's scenery to the Demon King Castle grounds, in the Demon Realm.

Reiss and the rest of the group looked around, examining their new location. They were in the courtyard of an ancient Gothic castle. The purple sky was overcast by dark clouds and the ground was rocky and mostly barren.

"Welcome to my home, the Demon Realm." Dabura said rising into the dark sky. "I'm sure master Babidi wanted to give us more room to have our fun."

Like the last time, the room was changed. The only thing remaining from before was the circular pattern on the ground. Reiss burst into his Super Saiyan form and extended a Ki barrier like his father. The youth floated into the sky, ready to eliminate his opponent.

The Demon King looked down at Reiss with his arms folded, waiting for the teen to close the distance. The Ki radiating from the Saiyan was quite impressive to the Demon King. Now that his opponent was unleashing his power, Dabura could feel the depths of the teen's strength. The Demon King realized he might have underestimated his opponent's strength. If the earlier conversation was to be believed, the teen wasn't supposed to be going all out.

Babidi's large, bubbled, eyes were glued to his crystal ball. His right hand man was evenly matched against the young man he was fighting. However, it seemed to Babidi that the green haired teen was more skilled, from the way he was able to dodge Dabura's attacks. Even when the Demon King used a flurry of strikes as a feint for his spit attack, the boy was still able to avoid it. The wizard moved over to check the readings from Buu's containment orb. The fight was giving it the energy the seal needed, but not enough. The struggle he saw Dabura experience made him doubt the Demon King's ability to siphon the needed energy from the intruders.

Babidi turned his attention back to the fight in his viewing orb. Dabura was still doing poorly against the youth. Every time the demon tried to attack, he was viciously countered by the Super Saiyan. Each strike from the youth became more refined, it was all the demon could do to avoid being killed. Dabura felt the pressure rising as the young Super Saiyan continually pushed him back. The demon, after being forced into the wall of his castle, could see his death incoming at the hands of the Super Saiyan. Reiss was charging towards him through the sky, ready to attack.

The dazed Dabura knew he wouldn't be able to gather himself quickly enough to defend himself from the attack. He closed his eyes and resigned himself for his impending death. Dabura waited for what felt like an eternity, but death never came.

The demon opened his eyes to see his opponent stopped in front of him, wearing a look of distress. The Super Saiyan clutched his head and screamed in agony. The Demon King released a sign of relief after he understood what was happening. His master, Babidi, was attempting to bring the warrior over to their side.

True to his title, Dabura used Reiss's distress to his advantage. He unleashed a hurricane of attacks against his frozen opponent as a means of payback. An uppercut from Dabura sent the incapacitated Reiss sailing into the sky where Dabura was already waiting to greet him with a kick back into the ground.

Reiss crashed into the dirt near a narrow lava flow. The other fighters moved closer to the battle to see if Reiss was injured.

"What happened?" Piccolo asked, "He was doing fine."

The Namekian couldn't understand why the tables suddenly turned on the imperial prince. Reiss was in control of the battle until the point he grabbed his head.

"It looks like Babidi is trying to take control of him." the Supreme Kai explained, "If he can't shake him off, we will have to deal with him too."

Raditz already guessed what was happening, because the same thing happened to Vegeta. He also understood that if you have a sufficient will you can stop the mind control process. The instant Reiss stood up, Dabura raced towards him, ready to continue his assault.

"We need to do something!" the Supreme Kai shouted. He saw that the Demon King wasn't going to let up on his attack.

"Are you going to lose to a weakling wizard, boy!" Raditz shouted.

The instant the Emperor's words were finished, Babidi felt an intense change in the link to the Super Saiyan. The old wizard felt a searing, blinding, rage pour through the mind link. Babidi didn't understand why the words provoked such an irrational hatred in the young Super Saiyan. The anger was so hot, the wizard need to immediately sever the connection.

Reiss howled in an animalistic rage, inadvertently transforming into his Great Ape empowered state. Dabura knew his master failed, but couldn't stop his dash towards the freed imperial prince. He hoped he would be quick enough to do his damage before the Super Saiyan fully recovered. When Dabura drew into striking distance of the screaming Saiyan, Babidi's crystal ball was filled with a blindly flash of white light. The smooth ball suddenly developed a long crack running down the center.

Thundering filled the Demon Realm as a giant Reiss hammered Dabura into the ground. The raging prince brought his large fists up and brought them back down with titanic force into the chest of a heavily injured Dabura. Each blow caused the Demon King to cough out more and more blood. He clearly was suffering from massive internal bleeding.

The group was transported back to Babidi's ship the moment Dabura died, but Reiss continued to rage against the smashed corpse. The confused Super Saiyan opened his mouth and roared a blast towards the mincemeat demon.

Babidi didn't care that his top minion had died in the battle. The wizard was overjoyed that the energy from the Super Saiyan was so potent, it filled the gauge on Majin Buu's seal over half way. Babidi couldn't help but laugh maniacally over his dream nearing fruition. His laughter continued even until a bright searing light filled his chamber on the ship. He never realized that the Super Saiyan's beam would penetrate all the way to him. Babidi died as a fiery explosion filled the bottom floor of the ship, vaporizing it and the cackling wizard.
