Colby's P.O.V
Sitting in the living room I kept scrolling through the same three channels hoping something interesting would come up.
"I'm going to go for a drive," I called out as I got up to put on my jacket and go out into the frosty air.
"What why?" Chloe called out quickly stalking into the room.
"Why not, I feel like I haven't moved in months." I said through a sigh.
"Don't be silly," she said with her hands on her hips.
"But you can't go daddy!" Adelaide hollard from her bedroom.
"I'll be back within an hour," I said thinking they are over exaggerating, as I open the door.
Chloe races to the door and right before I can make it out she slammed it shut pulling me back in and locking the door.
"I can't let you leave," she said her face full of determination.
"Why?" I asked starting to get annoyed.
"-Because you won't come back," Addy pouted overly dramatic.
I looked at Chloe and leaned with my back against the door and folded my arms.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" I asked, overly irritable.
She placed her hands gently on my shoulders and leaned in to whisper in my ear.
"Don't you remember why?" Her voice echoed through my head, the pain felt excruciating.
I fell into her arms and she proceeded to drag me to the couch as I began to convulse, am I having a seizure?
I blacked out my body convulsing every which way, my stomach jumping into my throat as I begin to choke, I felt my eyes roll back into my head as I seen a bright light.
"Shh, it's okay just let yourself fall," I heard Chloe's voice say as she began to laugh chaotically.
"No!" I screamed as loud as I could..
Chloe's P.O.V
"Are you ready to see the gender of the baby?" The doctor asked smugly.
"Yes, I'm ready." I said with a smile.
"Okay, so I'm going to ask you lift your shirt over your belly for me," he explained as he scooped up some kind of jelly substance.
I lifted up my shirt to show my protruded stomach.
"Okay so, this may be a little cold," the doctor explained before rubbing the jelly against my abdomen.
I took a chilled breath, he wasn't lying, it was quite cold.
He placed the ultrasound camera, where he put the jelly.
He moved it around a little, and suddenly you could hear the sound of thousands of galloping horses, but underwater from the speakers.
"That sound is you babies heart beats," he explained.
"Wait, did you just say babies, as in plural?" Hayley asked.
"Yes, congratulations, you're having twins." He smiles through excitement, and I burst into tears.
.
I can't figure out which I'm crying about more, the fact there's two babies I share with colby or the chance I have that I will be raising two children on my own, as well as the war I started with Colby's parents.
"Would you like to know the genders, or would you like to be surprised?" The doctor asked as he took the ultrasound pictures.
One of the most big reveals about my babies, if they are going to be girls or boys.
"I would like to know the genders." I sniffled out.
"The genders of your babies are, one is a girl, and the other is a boy." He said as he printed off the pictures for me.
I took a deep breath as I wiped away my tears and smiled as I took the pictures he was passing me.
"Okay, so I'll see you next week on, how about Friday, don't forget to take your prenatal vitamins and drink lots of water," Dr. Mundez explained as he wiped the jelly off my stomach.
"-Also I suggest you don't pick anything to heavy up, and stay away from stress triggers." He said as I got off the bed.
"Okay, will do." I said, casually side glancing over at Hayley who raised an eyebrow.
"See you next week, doc," Hayley said as we walked out from the room.
I noticed the young girl crying as she walked from her O.B.G.Y.N's room.
I paused, very curious.
"Are you coming?'' Hayley asked as I realized that I stood still too long.
"Uh, yeah would you mind going to go get the car and pull it around, I'll be there in a second." I said with a small smile.
"Yeah, sure are you feeling okay?" She asked worried.
"I'm fine, I just really don't want to go into the cold," I explained.
"Okay, be right back then." She said as she continued out the front door.
Once she was gone I walked over to the young pregnant girl as she sat in the hall, her eyes full of tears.
I sat down beside her, and looked down at my hands as I spoke.
"Hello," I said nervously.
"Hi," she sniffled back, rubbing tears out of her puffy red eyes.
"Are you okay?" I asked hesitantly.
She shook her head as she sniffled and scratched her arms nervously.
"Is your baby okay, do you need help?" I questioned, a young girl may not be capable of taking care of a baby.
"My parents kicked me out when they found out I was pregnant, but the guy who got me pregnant he-," she began to sniffle again, I rubbed her back gently.
"He what?" I urged her on sympathetically.
"He forced himself onto me, and afterwards when I found out I was pregnant it was too late I was already seventeen weeks," she burst into tears as she grabbed her stomach in a fit of hatred.
I was gobsmacked, my throat hitched and I was speechless.
I just stared at her, I felt sick to my own stomach as it occurred to me she has no one, just like I would have if it wasn't for Hayley.
"I don't even know why I'm telling you this, I don't even know you," she laughed sorrowful.
"No, no don't apologize, I can't imagine how heartbroken and scared you may be feeling, I'm in a similar situation, my boyfriend is currently in a coma and I don't have a family." I explained.
"I'm going to visit him today in the hospital, but how about you come with me, and we can help each other figure things out?" I asked gently.
"Are you sure you want me to come?" She questioned as she wiped tears from her emerald green eyes.
"Of course, I want you to come, you're the first person I feel like I can relate to," I mentioned slowly.
She nodded and we helped each other off the ceramic tile floor.
We walked out of the doctors office towards Hayleys car.
"What took you so long?" Hayley called out as me and the girl got into the car, I got in the passenger seat in the front as she got into the back.
"Its a long story but I want to go see Colby," I replied.
"is this to do with the twins?" She asked slowly ignoring the fact that a stranger got into the back seat of her car, I just nodded in agreement.
Chloe's P.O.V
"I forgot to ask you, your name earlier," I called to the back of the car.
"Oh right, my name is Silvia," she answered shyly.
Silvia had tired, emerald green eyes that sparkled like jewelry, and her long platinum blonde hair was up in a messy bun, she was around 5'4 and tanned sunkissed skin.
"That's a beautiful name," Hayley said as she drove on the highway.
"Thank you, I don't think I got either of yours though," she responded.
"Oh right, my name is Chloe," I responded.
"-And mine is Hayley," Hayley added.
"Nice to meet you both," she greeted.
"You too," I smiled, I've been meeting a lot of new people lately, it's been nice.
"So, Silvia, do you have a place to stay?" I asked.
"Yeah I have a small one bedroom apartment across town, it's not much but it's at least a roof over my head, you know?" She said awkwardly.
"Yeah I get it, you do what you have to," Hayley agreed, smiling looking at Silvia through the mirror.
"Did you pick a name for your baby yet?" I asked, smiling.
"Yeah, his name is going to be Oliver, Oli for short," she said smiling, that was the first time I saw her smile.
"That's a strong name," I acknowledged smiling back.
"It means descendant of the Ancestor," She explained.
"That's really cool that you put the energy into knowing the origin," Hayley said nodding
"It was my grandfather's name before he passed away last year," she replied.
"Aww that's so sweet," I said smiling.
"What about yours, what are you going to name the twins?" She asked.
I clutched the ultrasound pictures closer to my chest.
"I was thinking of Zayne and jade, but I haven't completely decided yet." I admitted.
"I like both of those names," she nodded.
We drove into the hospital's parking lot, it was quite full of cars today so it seems we are going to have a difficult time finding a parking spot.
"Wow, lots of people today," Silvia commented.
"Yeah seems that way, doesn't it?" Hayley said eyeing for a parking spot.
