Tomb Of Kings

Yuna and Kunai were walking down a river stream, with their feet splashing in the water as they moved forward.

Yuna looked around, thinking, 'The smell here is familair, like the smell of pine and strawberries. We're in the Bjornhenge forest. Usually filled with super nutritious stuff and not a lot of evil mythical beasts; it has less than your normal forests, which are crawling with them.'

Kunai exclaimed, "Yo, Yuna!"

Yuna replied, "Yes?"

"You don't don't really talk a lot, do you?"

"Haha, sorry. I usually don't speak unless I'm spoken to at times."

"That great manners! By the way, why were you out here alone?"

"I came out to the woods for training."

"Training your dark magic? Are you somehow sort of connected to the Dark Order? Are you like, undercover? Because your movements seemed super similar to Kohnzael, the famous assassin among the Dark Order, rumors say he could create any weapon covered in dark magic, and create curses and familiars covered in dark magic also. He was so cool until he was killed! I'm not saying your a bad guy like him or anything!"

"…"

"Hey, I'm not judging or anything! But are you like a bad guy? Everyone knows only Dark Order members can use dark magic..right? And everyone has said that no one has ever beat a Dark Order member. But with your power, you could probably win! You could probably save the world!"

"I'm…not a good guy. I'm sorry. I did a ton of horrible things that I don't feel bad for. I'm just…empty I guess.'

"Reallly???"

"Yes. I'm not noble, I only fight for those who are under me, not people I'm not affiliated with at all. I don't save people, I'm really selfish."

"And now I have my sights set on doing horrible things to the Dark Order themselves.

"Mmmm, like killing them?"

Yuna laughed, "Haha, yes. Brutally and painfully."

"Buttttt you wanna build your kingdom at the same time?"

"Mmm, I'll be able to balance both out at the same time. I'll rebuild my kingdom with all my assests, gain new subordinates and armies and all that, and along my journey I'll slaughter all the Dark Order members. It's gonna be fun."

"Right! You wanna kill them all to get them out of the way so your journey to kingdom building can be more effective, right?"

Yuna chuckeld, and lied, "Of course!"

'Good. I steered his attention way from asking about how I got my dark magic, it was going to come up eventually. Speaking of that…I was born with dark magic, which had never been heard of before besides the so-called god of the Dark Order. I don't know who this so-called god is at all, but apparently from what I heard among the other members, he gave out his dark magic to them. He gave them out to those who had potential but weren't born with magic….is that the main reason why the Dark Order recruited me? If so, why did they let me build my kingdom and power as an assassin for them just to betray me? Why did they betray me?'

"Die!"

Suddenly, Nel was falling down towards Yuna and Kunai, she slammed her hand down but Kunai turned towards it with a smile, and there was an orb of strong winds in front of her hand.

Kunai laughed as pulled out a regular looking stick, and he blocked the attack, exclaiming, "Whoa there! Haha! Watch where you're…Nel?!"

There were strong winds blasting all over the place, with trees around them getting ripped to shreds by the strong winds.

Yuna thinks, 'This girl has wind magic, and yet, Kunai was able to partially block it with a stick…? Or a magic weapon? But still, it's partially blocked because some of the winds made contact with Kunai, and it wounded a portion of his head…'

Nel replied, "Kunai! I'm guessing he used his dark magic to make you become his fucking slave or something! I'll kill this murderer! Dark Order scum!"

Kunai laughed nervously, replying, "Haha, no. It's not like that at all. And attacking Yuna here isn't really a good idea-."

"-Hell out of my way!"

Nel flipped off of Kunai, and charged at Yuna, but Yuna just stared at her, tilted his head, saying, "Hm?"

Nel said, "You Dark Order bastards…did you guys not get enough when you raided us last time for some stupid treasure?"

"Oh, haha, I didn't do that. I'm not a part of the Dark Order."

"Lying to save yourself from death won't get you anywhere, bastard!"

Nel was about to hit Yuna with a wind orb, but Kunai came out of nowhere, and kicked Nel in the hip, making her crash through a tree, but she sat up almost instantly.

Kunai started dashing towards her, saying, "Sorry, Nel! Butttt, I need him!"

Kunai swung his stick at her, but Nel ducked under it, allowing a loud wind to surround her fist, and she punched Kunai in the stomach. Kunai coughed out blood, and Nel said, "Keep testing me, I'll kill you next! They were the only people I had left that actually cared about me in this world!"

"B-But they were evil!"

"Who isn't?!"

Nel face-palmed Kunai, made winds shoot from her arms and hands, and she slammed the back of Kunai's head into the ground, blasting a large thud out.

Nel looked at Yuna, and was about to press forward, but Kunai opened his eyes, grabbed Nel's leg, jumped up fast, spun around, and slung Nel away, with a medium size blast of wind coming out and a KATHOOM!

As Nel was flipping through the air, she chanted: "Air jump."

She started to blast off the air, with winds blasting from her feet, making it look like she was running in the air, literally.

As she went forward, Kunai was coming at her with the stick.

Nel thinks, 'Damn him and that stupid ass stick…'

Kunai chanted: "Extend!"

He threw his stick at Nel, and the stick grew to be about 40 feet long, and 30 feet thick, and it had white flames surrounding the stick, and it was spiraling fast through the cracks of the air.

Nel says, "If this is really you, why the hell are you fighting against me, knowing you'll lose? You're not even that good of a blacksmith!"

Kunai answered, "I always hated those bandits, hahahaha! I won't be bound to it anymore after months of being trapped with you guys! Now…I'm finally free! Haha!"

"Tch! Have it your way then, I'll kill you here!"

She chanted: "Straight Shot."

Nel pointed forward, and a straight line of destructive wind shot forward, and it completely shattered the stick.

Yuna, watching from below, sitting on the ground crisscrossed, said, "Ohhh? She destroyed a magic weapon with her wind magic…impressive. Those two, two magic users under the Matter category, are almost like my former subordinates, they were really strong as well."

In the air, pieces of the giant stick wrapped in white flames were flying all over the place in the air.

Kunai thought, 'Welppp, I knew that was gonna happen! I've seen Nel's wind magic completely flatten magic users, and even strong mythical beings and monsters!'

Nel thought, 'His stupid stick is gone! Now I can-!'

Kunai laughed, "Haha! I hope this works!"

Kunai dashed past all of his stick pieces, stuck his hand behind him without looking, and the large stick pieces wrapped in white flames started to reassemble, gathering back in Kunai's hand; the large stick covered in white flames was back again.

Kunai said, "Even if you destroy Jholnur, he'll always reassemble! Haha!"

"Jholnur…that is…"

"A great name, right?!"

"…A shitty name!"

"Take that back!"

"I'd rather die! Fuck you!"

They both began darting through the air, the sound of clashing and wind thuds cracking in the air went off loudly, making the ground rumble.

Kunai would swing his stick at Nel, and everytime he swung, Nel would destroy the stick again with a punch of wind.

And as the shattered stick parts flew all over the place, Nel would strike at Kunai, but Kunai would dodge her attack, and would reassemble the stick, and attack again. This process repeated over and over, with no one getting a good hit in.

They both were on the ground now, and they dashed through the woods, repeating the same process as earlier.

Nel yelled, "You keep doing the same shit, idiot! You know I'll keep breaking that stupid stick!"

"Hehe! I can do whatever I want!"

"I'm ending this!"

Nel broke the stick again, and in her left hand, she formed another large orb of wind, and she smacked Kunai in the stomach, and he went flying backwards, with his stomach bleeding tremendously, and his Jholnur reassembling again. He hit the ground, he was on one knee now, with himself covered in blood, and him holding his Jholnur.

Nel was dashing towards him, and she was throwing really fast punches and kicks at the air as she flipped through the air, and the air blasting from her blows shot out right at Kunai.

Kunai stood up all the way and he ran forward as well, he put his Jholnur in front of him, and started to spin it around really fast, stopping the wind blasts from hitting him, but it was destroying Jholnur again.

Nel thinks, 'He's doing that same tactic again.'

The two of them were pretty close to each other, and Jholnur was destroyed again.

Nel and Kunai think at the same time, 'Got ya!'

Nel was forming another wind orb to slam, and Kunai acted like he was going to reassemble his magic weapon, and so that made Nel try and aim for his blind spot.

Kunai smirked, and he strafed to the left without fully reassembling Jholnur.

Nel thinks, 'He faked me out?! He made me think he was going to keep reassembling and swinging aimlessly again! Question is, how is he going to follow up?! I have to stop him before-!'

Kunai spun behind her, and he was holding a dagger that was made of darkness, and he swung it at Nel.

'A dark magic weapon?! But Kunai isn't a dark magic user!'

Nel stuck her hand out to Kunai, and Kunai stabbed the dagger through Nel's hand, piercing through the small wind shield that was trying to protect Nel's hand.

Nel gritted her teeth, and she headbutted Kunai backwards. Kunai slid back, and was coughing.

Nel said, "You bastard…where did you get this?"

Yuna was walking towards them, smiling, "That was pretty cool, Kunai!"

Kunai replied, "Thank you!"

Nel looked at Yuna, saying, "You bastard…you aided him! No wonder that dagger of dark magic was able to penetrate my wind shield. Fight me to the death, bastard!"

Yuna walked forward, and as soon as Nel blinked, Yuna was already standing back tk back with Nel.

Nel gasped, and Yuna was smiling.

Yuna smiled with a soft voice, "I don't wanna kill you, because I'm the one who has caused your anger and stuff. Plus, if we were to fight, you wouldn't last a minute."

Nel thought, 'This aura…it's bloodthirsty. Even though he seems to be smiling…it's showing his bloodlust.'

Nel jumped backwards, pointing at Yuna, saying, "You think you've bested me?! You murderer for the Dark Order! If I can't beat you now, I won't ever leave your side until I get strong enough to kill you. I fucking hate you."

Yuna sighed nervously, scratching the back of his head, "Ugh. I'm not in the Dark Order. If I was, you would've been dead already, since you tried to attack me."

"Then how the hell do you explain the fact that you have dark magic? Only Dark Order members have that!"

"…Yeah, I know that. But I was born with dark magic already. It's really really crazy, I know."

Nel and Kunai gasped.

Nel said, "I-Impossible!"

Kunai smiled, "Born with dark magic??? Wow! Then you must be like, the embodimenttttt of darknessss or something!"

Nel said, "That's impossible! Everyone in this world knows you can't be born with dark magic. I shall continue to believe you are in the Dark Order. Murderer, those people you slaughtered not too long ago were the only reasons why I'm still alive. They saved me from a village that was facing the after effects of a Dark Order battle, everything was set on fire-."

Yuna was walking away, yawning, saying, "Hey, Kunai, which way is the treasure?"

Kunai jogged forward, saying, "Haha! This way!"

Nel got angry, yelling, "YOU BASTARDS! YOU'RE GONNA HEAR MY BACKSTORY!"

Nel caught up with them, continuing, "…Everything in the village was on fire, even my parents. Until those men came and saw me…they saved me from what the Dark Order caused…"

Yuna batted an ear towards her once she mentioned the Dark Order again.

(FLASHBACK)

(10 years ago)

(Hutton village, outskirts of Ysreetmount)

8 year old Nel was running through her village, with people on fire, screaming, and houses being burnt down. Nel was crying, as undead villagers on fire were engulfed in dark magic, coming alive again.

"Mom! Dad!" Nel screamed as she was getting chased by the undead villages engulfed in the black flames.

"S-Stop! T-This isn't like you! Dark magic…I can feel it! Dark magic, in the flames, it's making you guys very angry! Please! Mom! Dad!"

The undead villagers rushed up to Nel, screaming, "Kill…us!"

"I-I can't!"

The undead jolted over at Nel again, slashing her with their sharp fingers, making her bash through multiple flaming houses.

Nel was standing in the middle of a flaming house, she was covered in blood, and all of the undead villagers were storming into the house.

Nel cried even more, hearing her parents and friends scream, "Save us! Kill us!!"

Nel whined, "I'm sorry…I'm sorry…"

Nel stretched her hands downward, and there were winds coming from it.

"I'm sorry…."

Nel lunged forward, and she threw her winds at the undead villagers. The winds did nothing to them besides make them take a few wraps back.

The undead villagers still came after her.

Nel cried, "I'm..not strong enough…to save you…forgive me…"

They almost pounded on her, until a bunch of heavy bandits with magic weapons blasted through the walls and slashed through all of the undead villagers, dismembering all of the place as blood splashed on the walls, and magic colors flickering everywhere.

The main bandit, Garth, said, "Clear the rest of this village out and those of you who have magic weapons or incantation spells with water in it or something, use it on the cursed flames of this dark magic. The Order is so fucked up. Can't say we're any different. Oh yeah, and don't touch the flames-."

One of the bandits touched the flames by accident, and his entire body was engulfed in black flames, and he started to become an undead, acting like a zombie.

Garth sighed, "Oh fucking brother. You idiots don't listen."

Garth turned around with his glowing red magic ax, and he slashed his undead bandit partner in half.

Nel was stepping back in fear, shaking and shivering with more tears falling down her eyes.

Garth walked towards her, kneeled down, "Mmm? I can see you're not one of those undead thingies. Fuck those Dark Order people for this, right? Here, stand up, you did good. We'll take you in."

(FLASHBACK END)

(PRESENT DAY)

Nel continued to say to Yuna and Kunai, "After that night, they took me in, and trained me to be able to use my wind magic more effectively."

Yuna asked, "Did you.. kill innocent people during your campaign with them?"

"I avoided doing that, as much as I could. Even though they took me in when I had no one, and helped me get stronger, I couldn't let myself take the life of those who had family, especially in a village. It would bring back those fucking memories. So I just let them do everything."

Kunai exclaimed, "Oooooo, darkkkk!"

"Shut up, fool."

Yuna said to Nel, "Mmmm, guess me and you aren't so different."

"The hell are you talking about? Is that how the Dark Order brought you up? Taking you in after a vicious tragedy? Save it. Don't try to relate to me. I will follow you to the ends of the earth until I kill, just to make sure no one kills you before me. I will never ever fucking like you, love you, or be your little friend."

Kunai whined, "Aww that's a mean thing to say to Yuna."

Nel said to Kunai, "Shut up. I'll kill you too after I kill him. Don't worry."

Yuna sighed, replying with a smile, "Oh…okay then. I guess then I'd have to make sure you don't die until that day comes, Hm? Because where I'm going and what I'm doing will be life threatening."

"Tch. A wondering Dark Order member? I know you have some kind of dark ass agenda."

"I'm not in the Dark Order."

"You're associated with them in a way."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No!"

"Yes you are!"

Kunai stepped in between them, saying, "Awww, you two should get married! Nel can be the queen since Yuna is gonna be a king one day!"

Nel punched Kunai, sending him through a tree.

Nel said, "The hell is he talking about? Queen and King shit?"

Yuna smiled, "I'm building a kingdom. But the wife thing is crazy!! Kunai, you fool! Don't say stuff like that!"

Kunai was standing up while giving a thumbs up, saying, "Okayyyy!"

Kunai jumped up, and started jogging back to them.

Nel said, "It's impossible nowadays, especially for a murdering Dark Order ass bastard like you. Building a kingdom from the ground up is like seeking immortality."

"Haha, yes! You said I'm a murdering Dark Order bastard, that's exactly what I'll be doing. Murdering the Dark Order, Killing them all in the process of building my kingdom."

"You wouldn't last a second against a member, especially the higher ranked. Why are you even trying to go against the hand that feeds you? Your own people?"

"They aren't my people, Nel."

Yuna thinks, 'Not anymore, I guess.'

Nel pointed and scoffed at Yuna, "Who told you to say my name?!"

Yuna replied, "I mean, I don't wanna call you anything else.."

"NO! YOU'LL REFER TO ME AS DEATH!"

"Yeah, not saying that."

"Bastard! My name coming from the mouth of a Dark Order demon?! I'm itching to kill you right now!"

"Ughh, can we get treasure first?"

Kunai ran forward, stepping on top of a square stone platform, and it had a star-like crest in the middle of it with a lion's head in the middle of that. Kunai was pointing at it, saying, "Here it is! The Tomb of kings!"

Yuna says, "Tomb of Kings?"

Yuna says, "This tomb is covered by a magic spell, we gotta break it somehow. But I don't know how. This is annoying. Crappp."

Yuna gasped, then thought, 'Hold on…there's something down there. It's ominous, it's aura..it's dark. Dark magic…! Hehe, a Dark Order member…a strong one too. Every member knows…that a member of the Dark Order can sense another one nearby…and this one down there in the tomb is probably on par with me…!'

Yuna smiled, "Haha! Let's open this tomb!"
