Investigating

After getting a short summary of Charles, Nathan decided to go over some ground rules. He decided that Charles would be his right-hand man, and he devised a plan to later on recruit small street gangs to increase his income.

Nathan explained that Charles would only address him as "One." It was a fairly simple and easy way of identifying a "leader" position.

He planned that the ranks went from 1 to 1000 and more if needed.

An organization's hierarchy is the most important to improve efficiency and order within the organization. Nathan decided to construct a fairly simple one. However, he would later expand to various different branches and other positions, leaving his orders almost not traceable.

After giving Charles some orders, he finally realized something, and it was a big headache.

Where would Charles go? Sure, he could do a sleepover with Nathan, but that would be a nightmare.

"Gosh.." He said and sighed whilst looking at his newly acquired henchman.

"One, what's the problem?" Charles asked curiously.

A few seconds of silence went by, and Nathan finally decided to voice his concerns.

"The problem is you're fucking homeless," Nathan said out loud boldly.

"Ah.." He replied finally understanding Nathan's concerns.

"It's fine I can live outside for a few days, just give me the gun please.." Charles asked and waited for Nathan's response.

Nathan immediately understood Charles's request and handed over the P11.

"Alright, but be careful of your targets, and also don't conduct your activities around the range of Rosewood High School yet, got it?" Nathan said.

"Of course don't worry!" Charles replied and exited the small apartment after Nathan distracted his mother. His sister was at school so it was fine.

Requirement: Charles must live outside using his own resources.

Rewards: 10+ Stat Points in every stat (Charles and Host)

Unlocks ammunition shop.

"Wait I can give system quests to my own Summons? And it gives me rewards.." Nathan murmured in shock.

This was an important discovery for him as he could now progress faster and start leveling up.

But now Nathan decided to investigate more about Rosewood Private High School and its various facilities.

He already knew that a lot of awakened attended the school due to its great teachers and classes.

And if somebody is awakened the chance is they could have some mana stones on them allowing Nathan to increase his total associates.

A few hours later...

After conducting his thorough investigation he found out many things that surprised him.

First of all the school's principal was a famous A+ ranked awakened with magic capabilities. The school also had brand new facilities featuring cultivation rooms, gyms, spas, swimming pools, and so on. And the cost of attending it was about 20 000 thousand dollars every semester due to it being the 4th best high school in the nation.

It wasnt a lot of money in Nathans eyes but he didn't know that awakened could make a lot of money. And the fact that a single mother could provide that for him was even more strange.

Altough his mother's background was still strange he decided to not investigate it since he saw how much the woman loved him.

Now Nathan had another problem in his hands. He wasn't an awakened which pretty much went everyone in the school would most likely bully the living hell out of him.

He needed his mother to go with him when he awakened since he was still basically a teenager.

"Mom, I don't know how to say this, but I would like to awaken, I'm also feeling a lot better now, and I am healthy!" He said and started fidgeting with his fingers acting nervous.

"Nathan, are you sure? You know it's dangerous, right.. you can just live a normal life and be safe, " she replied anxiously, fearing how low ranked hunters died often in dungeons.

"Mom, I'm already 17 years old, and I will probably get a low talent or not even awaken," He said, trying to convince his mother.

"Fine.. alright, but if you get a bad talent or don't awaken, don't be discouraged. Rosewood will provide you with good connections and a good education for your future, " she continued, hoping Nathan wouldn't be too depressed if he doesn't get a good talent.

"Okay, thank you," He said and started walking back to his room.

"Let's go tomorrow!" She shouted, making sure Nathan heard her.

Nathan was quite confident on the outside but he was very nervous for the awakening. He didn't even know how it worked and what if he got a weak shit talent not making him able to rise the ranks fast enough.
