Domain Expansion: Adventure in DC

D.E.A.D. (Domain Expansion: Adventure in DC) Before you read anything: #1. This story gives a strong impression that it is a simulation, right from the start. Don't read if you're not a patient person. #2. Story is strongly plot-oriented and includes a lot of deep narrations. Again, don't read if you're looking for something simple. #3. Read if you're looking for something exciting, a lot of action and chaos, and, if you're patient enough to watch the story unfold (unlike The Cursed World). #4. Author may not give a F* (Synopsis) My name is Wan Juan. I was just a normal guy striving to climb the ladder of life when I walked into him. Little did I know of his nature: A Cursed Celestial. In his D.E.A.D world, my story began in the lovely island of Themyscira that instantly transformed into a battle ground. Slowly, I grasped my nature of being capable to use Cursed Energy and Cursed Techniques as I navigated the treacherous circumstance I had found myself in. Fate bind my story as a prophecy unfolded. Pacts were forged as the situation escalated, and I chose to exorcise the Amazons. But it was only until I met the Justice League that I grasped my true nature and the weight on my shoulders, as, The Cursed Millennial. The salvation and fate of all existence rested on my ability to hone my jujutsu and face threats beyond mortal understanding. C/N: The first chapter involves a rapid shit in POV like in the synopsis above. From I to He. Nothing wrong with it. Get used to it. Disclaimer: I own nothing in the realm of DC or JJK. Just my ideas.

Chapter 15. Vengeful Curse

Just one more narration guys. Just one more

---

The thing about excitement is that, it keeps you on the edge at all times. The adrenaline rush from constantly pushing past the limits of the normal can be addictive, and it can become problematic.

That's what Noroi no Sekai once learned during one adventure, where he came across a certain therapist. Not his first, but she was by far the most interesting.

After several sessions while thinking that she was dealing with a human being, unaware of her abilities as a sorcerer, she diagnosed him to be ADHD, warning him that his constant desire for excitement would one day get him in a lot of trouble, if he didn't curb it.

But did he listen? No. He instead chose to make a story out of it. And now, he had learnt his lesson after discovering who, or what Wan Juan was.

His suspicions first came up when he observed the super attributes. The highlight of that was the blue screen that displayed them, and it's nature.

Cursed energy comes in two shades (literal shades) - blue, and, purple.

Blue is the jujutsu (cursed energy manipulation) of sorcerers while purple is the jujutsu of Curses.

After the coin toss, The Cursed World expected that Wan's jujutsu would take the shade of blue, but instead, the aura that surrounded him was purple!

Then he watched as an internal energy flowed to equalize his attributes, after he was captured, and it dawned on him.

He crossed out the potential of Wan being a Cursed Celestial like he was, because he had a blue jujutsu reinforcing his health, strength, speed, and, agility.

The blue jujutsu was innate and natural to Wan, representing his untouched potential as a sorcerer. Which was why he hadn't discovered his cursed technique or domain expansion, yet.

But it still gave him an edge, especially after eating a decent meal to his fill. The result of that meal didn't make The Cursed World any happier. It gave Wan an ace up his sleeve to fight for his freedom.

On the other hand, the purple jujutsu showed Wan's ability to used the Ten Shadows, as a Curse. Which made him both a Curse, and, a sorcerer.

But The Cursed World's deductions were not complete until he linked one last crucial bit of information. The reason why he couldn't detect Wan's abilities when they first met, and he confirmed his worst fears.

Surrounding Wan was one last shade that represented the Divine: the Colourless.

When all this came together, a lost memory rekindled in The Cursed World's frightened mind as he realized that the therapist was right about his compulsion. Just one thought was enough to inflict some terror through his mass. It was a fabled tale that remained a myth in all his travels. The legend of the Cursed Millennial.

The rules of his Isekai Domain dictated that he was not to intervene with the story directly, but he was allowed to use his technique to achieve a consequence.

Misguidance (cursed technique) allowed him to subtly influence a plot point, such as the face on which a coin toss would land, or, how an oracle would interprete a prophecy.

The Oracle of Themyscira had been misguided to emphasize on the need of sacrificing Wan in the sacred grounds, thereby ignoring a strong detail in the prophecy. The prophecy talked about the vengeance of a cursed man, and the keyword was, VENGEANCE.

To Themyscira, that single detail would have saved them from turmoil, and they would have done the right thing. But what did The Cursed World care?

Having realized the true nature of Wan, The Cursed World knew exactly the only way he could be taken down. By using jujutsu. And jujutsu requires the presence of cursed energy, which made the sacrificial alter the perfect place for the end.

One fatal blow to the heart with a cursed object, in a cursed environment was enough to put Wan down for good. A cursed environment like say..., a sacrificial alter where the Amazons used to sacrifice male born children long, long ago.

How exciting this was, and how much cursed energy he was already accumulating!

"Take the dagger, forged from this very alter." The Oracle of Themyscira said as she unfolded a dump and dull piece of cloth in her hand. Beneath it was a crooked dagger shaped like the letter C, with a handle extension.

The recipient of this dagger was the one who would be making the sacrifice to the gods, by plunging it through my chest and into my heart.

She was elegantly dressed in white clothing, much like the high priestess, but laced with a heavy touch of royalty. She had her crown on, and as she received the dagger, I could see the constant twitch in her face and her disgusted expression.

I could tell that she too was troubled by her surrounding, and what she could see. The puzzling question "why me?" was written all over her face as she took the dagger and turned to face me.

"You can't be serious!" I said to her, hoping that I could get to her sane side. "This is madness and you know it."

"You can see it, just as much as I can. You can't tell me that you don't get how wrong this is" I rationalized. "The thing itself looks like a demon."

"Hush!" The oracle silenced with her stern gaze. "The Sacrifice shall not speak to the Chosen one."

"Princess," the oracle started, "it is time. Save us by honoring the gods with this sacrifice."

Diana bowed her head in acceptance. This was the right thing to do. The queen had elaborated to her on the oracle's truth. Diana happened to understand the curse they were talking about, more than they themselves did, and that strengthened her resolve.

She always sensed the curse and the hatred it carried for the women in Themyscira. But she never once saw it manifest in any form, until a man came to Themyscira with a similar aura. She had seen and killed a dog that no other woman could see, thereby linking it to the mysterious man.

And now, there was the similar surge of purple surrounding the alter, and the blade. The oracle had never been wrong, even when nothing backed up her prophecies and readings. But this situation had proof enough, that she was definitely right.

The man to be sacrificed had the same purple energy when Diana had fought against him. With the same sensation that haunted her whenever she came this high into the mountain.

And just when she had finally found someone who could perhaps elaborate on those chill cries and mad laughs that descended from the mountain every full moon, it turned out that he was deeply connected to them (according to the prophecy).

This sacrifice was a necessary evil. For her sisters, and her island.

The Amazons regarded me to be weak because of the many shackles they had put on me. As such, it led them to ignore bounding me to the alter as they tried to force me to lie down on the cold stone. Or maybe it was their ritual process not to bind the Sacrifice.

I couldn't let myself lie down on that disgusting stone, seeing the many bulky "octopusy" limbs that looked as if they were reaching out to catch me. Instead, I raised my hands to my face and supercharged them with strength, banging them fiercely on the stone alter.

My shackled wrists came into contact with the stone in a powerful hit, but they didn't budge, neither break off. I quickly retracted my hands and repeated the same action as fast as I could.

I repeated the same sequence severally, and before the Amazons could stop me, the shackles in my hands came off. Immediately, I shifted the flow of my sorcerer's cursed energy (I didn't know at the time), condensing most of it in my right hand.

I folded my right fist and threw a powerful punch to the shackle binding my left foot, before throwing myself into the air and condensing cursed energy in my right foot and landing it powerfully on the alter.

The shackles in both my feet came off from the punch and crash, respectively, just as the alter trembled and tore apart. It crumbled and fell into a pile of rabble and dust.

Quickly, I strengthened both my arms and tore the shackle around my neck. In less than two seconds, I had both freed myself from the shackles and the sacrifice. All that was left to do was to strengthen my legs with my innate cursed energy and jump away from the sacred ground to the river, then the shore.

A sly smile broadened on my face as the memory of how I came to be so advantageous replayed in my mind. A small light of resolve twinkled in my eyes as I recalled a pact I had made with myself. No matter what, I would always treat myself to a decent meal every single day.

My innate energy flowed to both my legs as I crouched, about to a take a leap to freedom.

Yakkshkshhsssshh

Before I could lift off, I heard a troubling scream/shriek/cry, as a gigantic lump of purple energy germinated from the crumbled alter with speed and determination, and the exuberance of a prisoner who had just been set free.

It flowed immensely as it collided, crashed an hit all those standing in it's growth as it increased in mass.

"What the-?" I found myself wondering, unable to perform my jump from the sudden physical distraction. "What is this thing?"

C/N: the above blue and purple jujutsu explanation isn't exactly right, as Gojo can use Hollow Purple, and Yuuji and his bro can use Black flash (kinda purple). I just put it like that for this story because sorcerers mostly have a blue while Curses have purple.
