I had lived a very boring life, one full of a psychosis and sociopathic-like restraint. So, I didn't just snap someone's neck or gut them, I just about killed my emotions and stunted myself. I did enjoy gaming though, like Dungeons and Dragons or stuff like the Division. But well, my hell of holding back came to an end after a total of sixty years walking on Earth. Now I'm quite frankly lost as to why I'm standing above an anime world that has what looks like the tower from Orio? Orion? That one dungeon anime. Looking down around me, I'm quite stumped, as this makes no fucking sense.

May have been a reader and stuff, but why am I in an anime? Just why?

Shaking my head, I looked at the thing that has presumably brought me here. It's a small black text floating in the air, cliché I know, right? Reading it as is.

(Welcome to your next life, must admit you were one of the few restrained mentally bloodthirsty people I've seen. No one in their shattered mind would have held back from just killing like you and a few others do. So props to you, props to you, my good Sir. Should've just killed. But you didn't now we're here and for being so restrained let me explain this simply. You dead, me kidnap soul, new world, new life, gifts for you, blood to spill. Simple right? Good to know you agree! Now you see there's something's you can pick to have… or we break everything and let you create your setting! BREAK IT ALL, YOU FUCKING PSYCHO.)

'Okay fuckin shit I'll break shit, just don't break me.'

New text appears as the old is erased.

(Good, so here's a laptop to create your setting, and broken shit. I want to watch you confuse and scare the gods, so make it snappy!)

"Wait, how would I level up? Wouldn't I need you around?"

(Your idea will be influenced to have such a function. As I don't care about your journey, just God's being confused or terrified.)

With that, a gaming laptop with a few games and an open document pop in on the floor? Shrugging, I sit down and grab the laptop, taking note of a few of the games on it. Division, Division 2, Division Heartland, Dungeon and Dragons Online, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Rainbow Six Siege, Rainbow Six Extraction, Metal Gear Solid V, Hitman 3…. Huh, some good old games I've played before. Though I'm feeling like there's a hint here. Text appears off to the side of the laptop.

(Yes)

Rolling my eyes, I cracked my knuckles and got to typing everything out. Including the whole basically character sheet thing that I'm making tied to whoever or whatever is messing with me. It didn't help that it made a blushing emoji in text and acted shy. Took a long while, but I had written everything out, getting my neck to pop with a sigh. I watched as the thing messing with me ripped my stuff from the laptop. The backstory text on how I'd gotten to the world is turned into a sword of words. It impaled me through my very core, writing my new life's start. My status or Falna as the gods call it shimmered in front of me to read it all one last time.

With a nod, I realized who the fuck was messing with me. Cthulhu, huh? Well, damn, this will be interesting as shit because my God is a big old squid of horror! My new-found status swirls into a revolver and promptly blows my brains out as it all condensed into a bullet.

(16 years later)

After getting put in this world, I had really been born into my setting for myself. I had done countless things before the Gods descended, and I was frozen in time. Running a hand through my sweaty brown hair, my tired hazel eyes lock onto Bell Cranel. Grandson of Zeus and the village's favorite rabbit as he runs about excitedly. Watching him run on home, I adjusted the Hk417 rifle strap on my right shoulder. Looking around, I lean against a house and check my status after a long time.

I really suffered a lot in sixteen years of being here as I got frozen in fucking time by the Black Dragon before a certain family extracted me and FUCKING FROZE ME AGAIN WITH A BABY! They could've at least left me my little Behemoth pet… On another note, my Archaean Infection has helped with reattaching lost limbs and regrowing organs. Still Human just got a parasitic goo living inside me, like Venom, but this one has no ego and is a part of me completely. Fighting monsters, and people, as normally killing a person wouldn't give you Excellia, has helped me grow though as I didn't level up until my stats always reached this kind of level as I didn't want to be weak when I'd level I always maxed my stats the best I can. Looking down at my ISAC watch, I asked my otherworldly AI about something random.

"Hey ISAC, any movement towards the village?"

{NEGATIVE}

"Zeus's little plan?"

{NEARLY READY}

"Alright… then, guess it's time I head on out to Orario, register as an adventurer and either dungeon dive or do missions outside its walls, after saying goodbye to the old pervert."

Pushing myself off from the wall, I head to the Cranel residence and prepare to say goodbye. Thinking about something, I glanced down at the thigh holster on my right leg and on impulse checked the gun in it. Pulling out a Colt Python Revolver loaded with .45 HPAP rounds, I checked the modified cylinder, gotta admit making a thirty-two round cylinder was an amusing idea but effective, before putting it back in place. Holstering it, I passed by the various villagers of the place I've called home for a while. Stepping through the front door of the Cranel home, I shut it behind me. Zeus is in his favorite chair and looks up from his book at me.

A small sad smile on the god's lips as he looked at my figure. Taking in my tanning skin color, purple dress shirt, black and red tie, dark gray duster, skull gas mask to cover my lower face, brown cargo pants, and black steel toed combat boots, as spiked combat gloves cover my hands. He looks at me forlornly as he can guess what this is about. Sighing as I messed with my mask while it was around my neck as I looked at the old God. Walking over and taking a seat on the other side of him. Speaking up, I chuckled, making sure Bell was busy doing something and not in the house or its vicinity.

"You know, Zeus, I didn't think I'd have you involved in my life…"

Setting his book down into his lap, the old god chuckled wryly with his head shaking.

"Neither did I think I'd help take care of a child of another world, after they were cut out of literal space-time crystals. But even though you have THAT on you, I can't say I hate that you are essentially my son…."

"Hey, he isn't so bad, just likes making me have nightmares. But thank you and this village for helping to get me back on my feet in this new life and era. Don't think I'd be able to do much if you didn't. Cause, you know, imprisoned."

"Pppfffhhhh that's very true, young Wyrmling! Since you have a bad habit of beating people to near death, if not restrained, and not caring you almost killed them. But you learn fast and really make me proud of you, as while you're not truly a hero. You'll do what you think is right, like locking my grandson Bell in a shed for skipping on farm duties."

"Heh, brat deserved it. I caught him, and he mouthed off to me accidently, so I grabbed him by the scruff and threw him in there. Please remember, I also punched some of the more thuggish children through a wall for trying to steal and sell stuff to bandits."

"Oooh I can't forget that as you and I hunted those undesirable wastes down. It was the first time I watched your firearms so easily claim another's life."

Sitting in silence as we stopped talking for a few seconds, Zeus offered his hand to me. Looking at him curiously, I grabbed his hand, and then he chanted something.

"I, Zeus, make a vow and pass on a gift to my adoptive son Dakota, a worthy Adventurer. I pass on enough of my power to birth a familiar to be conjured. Bathed in my lightning and godly power, this familiar will be to protect him in his travels to come. In doing this, I vow on my divinity that it shall not be used to harm or hinder him. It shall be a life born from my power to give him a companion only."

Golden chains wrapped around our hands before fading as lightning started going crazy above them. The bolts of godly power twisted and slithered about quickly as if alive before exploding upwards. A dark blue and golden bird soared with a tired chirp into the air. It glided around us a bit before landing onto my shoulder dipping its head asleep, looking at the bird I take a guess.

"A Thunder Phoenix?"

"That is an interesting variation of the usual Phoenix to be born. But I'm glad you got something that will always return to you even if it dies. What will you call the little one?"

"Pandora."

"Hm… alright. Stay safe."

"See you someday once more, don't hurt Bell too badly with your 'death' old man."

Getting up, ISAC informs me it's been half an hour, so with a wave, I head out. Hands in my pockets, I left the village, saying very few goodbyes. Stepping into the wilderness surrounding the village, my steps fade, my presence melts completely into the surroundings.
