Divine Trinity Quest: Into the Server's Edge

In the world of Shannia, the holders of the powerful Divine Trinity Frames waged a catastrophic war against each other. The aftermath of their battle sparked a quest to obtain these fabled relics. For centuries, Frame Users have raced to the Edge of the Server, vying to claim the Frames and bend reality to their will. But the quest is treacherous, and only the strongest will survive to claim victory. Will you be the one to conquer the Divine Trinity Quest and rewrite the fate of Shannia? ————— ⚠️ MC's POV blurb: “Find me at the edge of the Server, Kai,” were the last words my mother before she disappeared. Then I was fooled and got stuck in a game called "Shannia" where 100 years is a measly 1 hour in the real world. Alice—the girl who introduced me to this game told me I will die in real life if I die here. I don't fully believe her. However, I won't take a chance. I will see everything through until I learn the truth. That changed when she told me about the Divine Trinity Quest by going to the server's edge. I feel. . . somehow, I could discover my past by completing this quest. And maybe, hopefully, I will find my mother there. Rave Queen

I'm gonna die! My head will crack wide open on the ground!

Along with a rushing feeling, I feel someone grabbing me behind my back, stopping my fall. *Pant* My heart could jump out of my chest! I thought I was going to die and get flattened. Looking at the street below, I breathe well to calm down. Then Alice's annoying smirk shows up as she bends down, matching the orientation of my face.

"Don't drop me again!" I growl, instead of sounding like I'm pleading.

"What are you talking about?" She smiles, waving her hands in front of me.

If she's not the one holding me, I assume that Lucy is doing it but she's right here too, waving her hands. Maybe it's their shadows that— Wait a minute. I see my reflection in the glass. The shadows connected to my back are suspending me in the air! I was so scared and desperate that I instantly learned how to use this power. Then I just noticed that I have blue and purple gradient hair and my eyes are like Alice's.

"There ya go," Alice grins. "Come on."

I'm still unsure if I can control this power well but for some reason, it feels like I'm familiar with it. It is easy to move around! They can stretch far, as long as there are shadows. Well, the Underworld is full of shadows so. . . This feels great!

A couple of minutes later the music is getting louder. We're near. Far ahead of the street, there is a massive stadium with the air above it lit up by lasers and spotlights with neon colors. Fireworks explode endlessly above it with huge fountains of sparks around the stadium.

It's when we enter the stadium from the top and go over the crowd that I realize the music is so loud! There could be millions of people here, cheering as Alice waves and smiles along with Lucy.

"Give it up for the Rave Queen!!!" one of the masked DJs at the center of the stadium announces before playing the music even louder! The crowd starts to scream and whistle.

The bass is shaking my insides as if I have a boom box inside of me. It is shaking with the music. My head naturally bobs vibing with the beat as we land on the stage in the middle. As soon I realize it, the sooner I stop. I don't want to show that I like the atmosphere of this place.

Daemons are wearing heavy neon and glow-in-the-dark cosmetics. Most of them look intoxicated from the drinks. Some of them even spray it into the open air and let it rain down on other people. No one seems to be complaining. Instead, they find it fun. What's the fun in that? Your skin is going to get sticky and mucky when it dries and mixes with your sweat.

There are at least fifty masked DJs on the lower platform below us. I'm not sure if all of them are but it's strange to see too many people on the audio mixers. Well, this is an insanely large stadium so, no wonder.

Then the music volume goes down and the lights stop flickering as Alice grabs a jeweled mic from a drone. The spotlights point at her. Her face is on the big screens. "WHAT'S UP, MY DEVILS?!!!" she screams and the crowd screams back at her in enthusiasm. "Deadly as ever, I see!"

Deadly? Oh, I get it. It should've been "Lively" but in this context, they're in the Underworld—the realm of the dead so. . . quite witty, I suppose.

"Guess what I did on the surface!" she laughs. "Those fluttery birds in the skies should scatter like pigeons now that we got the Angel's Bane!" The spotlights point at me as she gestures her hands at me. "Show them, Cancer!"

I summon the dagger into my hand and hold it there, paralyzed as millions of eyes are peering at me. I don't like this! I'm not used to this! Am I naked? No, it's just. . . it's awkward to be looked at. I don't know how she can handle this.

"Raise it up for everyone to see!" she yells in the microphone.

"Do I have to?" I mutter but she excitedly smiles and nods at me.

Alright, then. I raise it for everyone to see and the stadium gets filled with millions of cheers and whistles! I'm on the big screen so I force myself to smile. There's a surging feeling that somehow tells me the cheers are meant for me. I refuse to let it large my head. The cheers are not for me, obviously.

"LET'S PARTY!!!" she screams and the loud music and flashing light are back again. She lets go of the mic but a drone catches it before it hits the ground. "Come here, my hubby," she says to me as she uses Shadowclutch to go over the crowd.

Hubby? As in husband? Oh, that's right. We married. *Swallow* I wonder what that means in this world. I hope it doesn't give me "responsibilities".

I'm following behind her and Lucy until they land on a balcony. Butler Daemons with slick hair, black suits, and chins raised to welcome us to the table full of food and drinks. But Alice walks past that and heads straight to the dark glass door. One butler opens it for us and closes it as soon as we get inside. The loud music cannot be heard here. Finally, a quiet place.

"Mi casa es su casa," she welcomes.

The lights automatically turn on and inside, the place looks too normal. It looks like it could exist in the real world. With a grey comfy sofa, kitchen, fridge, TV screen, wooden table and chairs, a desk, and others. The air is cooler here like there is an AC.

She sighs, lying down on the sofa and turning on the TV with a remote. She's hugging a huge teddy bear. Lucy goes to the kitchen to cook something. I can tell that she has been doing this for her for a long time.

"You like my home?" Alice asks me as I just lean my hip against the side arm of the sofa, folding my arms, and watching what's showing on the TV. It's an old movie from Earth. Sherlock Holmes—it says. I never heard of this.

"It's not bad," I say.

"I tried to make it look like what you would have in our world. I don't know why but as much I like a lot atmosphere, deep within me likes plain things."

"That's awesome," I sarcastically remark. "Anyway, I think this is a good time to talk."

"Fine, what do you wanna talk about?"
