MISSIONS

In a golden colored Pagoda like house that is not far from the area Pearce and Powell clashed, two middle aged men could be seen floating on top of it.

These middle aged men wore the azure colored military uniform as one of them has silky long brown hair with dark eyes as the other has dark red hair that has a shade of black with limpid red colored eyes.

The one with the brown hair has a burly figure while the other looks a bit thin.

"Do you know who that kid is?" The burly man suddenly asked with a shocked expression on his face.

"I don't. But I think I know where he came from" The thin looking man said with a pondering look on his face.

"You know? Where?" The burly man asked with a curious look on his face.

"I think he came from the HQ in Country X since I can see my nephew following him" The thin looking man said with a flash of brilliance in his limpid eyes.

"HQ... wait, didn't the main branch here got a novice rank soldier transferred to the HQ?" The burly man asked as enlightenment dawned on him.

"That's true, looks like we need to go ask one of the Venerables to know which of them in that group is the transferred soldier" The thin looking man said as enlightenment also dawned on him.

"If so then let's quickly go ask" The burly man quickly asked as a gleam flashed past his eyes. Only him knows what was currently running through his mind.

"Ok" The thin looking man said before both him and the burly man flew off towards a certain area.

Meanwhile, Pearce and his group has finally gotten their Pagoda like house along with Diana and her group. Although there houses were close, they still got divided by another occupied house.

'Dammit' Diana cursed as she looked at Pearce and his group that was currently opening there house to get in with a worried look on her face.

<You don't have to worry. Am sure you will surely get him> Diana's replica suddenly consoled her.

<Thank you> Diana said before she finally took in a deep breath before she joined her group to get into their house.

"Wow!!" George exclaimed as he stared at his surroundings in the house with an excited expression on his tanned face.

"This accomodation I even better than the one they gave us back at the HQ" Bridget exclaimed with a shocked expression on her face. Although the others didn't say anything, they all still look shocked.

Only Pearce had a dazed expression on his face which indicates he was talking with his replica.

«This building kind of looks familiar» Pearce's replica said with a pondering look on his ethereal face.

«How? have you been here before when you had a physical body?» Pearce asked with a surprised expression on his face.

«It seems so» His replica said as he slightly gave himself a nod.

«Who really are you?» Pearce asked with a curious look on his face.

«Sorry kid, but you don't have the strength yet to know who I am» His replica said with a calm look on his face.

«I still don't understand what you mean» Pearce replied with a helpless look on his face. This shows that has been asking his replica about his identity previously but couldn't get an answer.

«You will understand when ythe time comes» His replica said with a mysterious smile on his face. When Pearce saw this, he immediately rolled his bright green eyes angrily at him.

"Captain, is something the matter?"

This question immediately made Pearce to come back to his senses as he saw his group members look at him curiously.

"Oh no, it's nothing" Pearce replied with a light smile on his face as looked at his surroundings.

The place Pearce and his group is currently in seems to be the living room as five floating couches is seen slowly going around in circles in the middle of the room. Not only that, but two doors could be seen at the right side of the room while stairs could be seen on the left.

"Looks like we will have to split up" Pearce suddenly said after looking at his left for some time.

"Huh? Why Captain?" Robert suddenly asked with a puzzled expression on his face, even the others has the same look on their faces.

"Because there are many things to do" Pearce replied calmly. But before the others could ask him another question, he continued.

"Not only are we going to check out all the rooms in the house, but we also have to go check out the hall at the centre of this station and possibly pick a mission we have to do in the meantime. So splitting up is unavoidable"

"That's true..." Robert said with a helpless smile on both his and the others faces.

"So how are we going to be divided Captain?" Daniella suddenly asked with curious expression on her face. When the others heard this, they immediately brought there gaze back to Pearce.

After looking at them for a few moments, Pearce finally spoke...

"Actually there isn't much to talk about there, me and Robert will go check out the hall while George will lead you guys to check out all the area in the room"

"Me?" George suddenly asked with a surprised expression on his face.

"Sure, or do you want someone else to do it?" Pearce asked with a questioning look on his face.

"No! I will do it" George hurriedly said with a panicked look on his face. Although he didn't know why Pearce gave him the leading role in checking out the rooms in the Pagoda despite he wasn't the strongest in the group, he could let this opportunity slip by.

"Ok then, Robert let's go" Pearce suddenly said with a light smile on his face he quickly turned and began to walk out of the his groups base.

But before he walked out of the building, Robert has already caught up with him. While going deeper into the open field, Robert suddenly asked Pearce...

"Captain, Why did you give George the leading role despite knowing Barnes is the strongest person in the group?"

Technically, Barnes isn't necessarily the strongest person apart from Pearce and Robert in the group since his Power Rank is in the same level with Veronica. But Veronica has a really low self-esteem which makes Barnes to be the strongest.

"To be honest, I don't really know why. But I have a strong feeling that he perfectly fits that position" Pearce replied with a pondering look in his face.

'Seriously?' Robert thought with a confused expression on his face. But he decided to keep his doubts to himself.

"Looks like we have arrived" Pearce suddenly said as he quickly came back to his senses as he looked at a really long hall that was shrouded with soldiers with different colors of military uniforms.

"That's is some crowd" Robert said with a surprised expression on his face as he looked at the people around the huge hall.

"Let's go" Pearce said before him and Robert walked closer to the hall. When they got to the entrance, they saw a huge sign on top of the entrance that says 'POINTS CENTRE'.

'Looks like this is the name of the hall' Pearce thought as he briefly gazed at the huge sign before walking into the hall with Robert.

When they got into the hall, they saw various soldiers wearing light green military uniform in front of different counters that was lined up in the hall. But at some distance, they saw a huge door that was tightly closed. On top of the door is a sign that says 'Lieutenant Rank' on it.

'Looks like the higher a soldiers ranks reach, the deeper that soldier gets into the hall' Pearce thought before he led Roberts towards an unattended counter.

"Good day sir" Pearce greeted with a light smile on his face. The man Pearce just greeted has a long grey looking hair and dim black eyes, he wore a white colored clothe as a black wristband was found at the left side of his hand.

"How can I help you" The man said with in a flat tone.

"Could you please brief to us how things are done here?" Pearce asked with a handsome smile on his face. When the man saw this, he immediately became dazed.

But he quickly came back to his senses as he asked awkwardly...

"O... on what exactly?"

"If possible, everything you know" Pearce replied with the smile still on his face. When the man heard this, smiled wryly as he thought.

'Looks like my 'luck' caught up with'

"We you are now is the Points Centre of the Monster Slaying Regiment Thomas District station. What we do here is buying and selling of weapons, pills, potions, spells or anything valuable to us with the use of Battle Points. Not only that, but we also increase the rank of a soldier based on the merits the soldier has done and offer missions to soldiers who seek one. Those this answer your question?" The man explained before he asked with a calm look on his face.

"Yes. Thank you senior" Pearce answered with a charming smile on his face. But before the man could say something, Robert suddenly said.

"Sorry sir but we would like to complete a mission"

When the man heard this, he sighed helplessly before he said...

"Ok, what grade of mission do you want to do?"

"Grade C missions" Pearce suddenly said as a gleam flash passed his eyes.

"There are currently fifty missions that is available to take. You can choose any one of them" The man said as five scrolls suddenly appeared on the counter.

'So many?' Pearce thought with a surprised expression on his face.
