The fight

The vampire like a speed of lightening were already where the witches are , they began to fight furiously using their swords. The witches were both using swords and spells.

Ava was also fast, the sword she used this night was given to her by the former witch queen which was her mother. she haven't used after a long time. she was swinging it and each swing brought a vampire down. She started aiming her sword to their heart. The death of the witches, in the past years keep replaying in her mind, her daughter wouldn't be alive too if she had been a minute late. Ava was fill with rage, that the only one thing on her mind was to wipe the entire vampires out of existence. she use her swords to hit a vampire from his head splitting his entire body into two.

Her entire body was filled with blood. Blood also dripping from her sword.

Small sparks of magic could be seen everywhere. The more they were fighting the more the vampires keeps coming. Ava knew they would be at disadvantage if they keep coming like that, she had to stop more vampires from coming into the mountains

She made use of an ancient spell, uttering it in a strange language. sudden they were a burst of blue light covering the entire mountain like a transparent ball, where the war was going on. It was restricting the other vampires coming in. They were hitting the ball like flame making it to spark like an electric.

Ava could see their numbers multiplying, they were coming from all directions now.

Ava sign, they only have the vampires inside the mountain to deal with.

She didn't know a vampire was at her back, turning back, she was facing him and he was staring at her with his yellow eyes, growling.

AT THE CAVE

Alvina was with Luna, she was walking to and fro the cave entrance while Luna sat on the floor crossing her legs together, she was tossing small stones up and catching it

" Vina calm down, your mom and other witches will be fine" Luna said nonchalantly

" yea I know Luna, I just wish I could be there fighting together with my mom"

she replied

" you remember what your mom said " Luna stop tossing the stone and staring intensively at Alvina.

"am not planning on going, stop staring at me like that" she said rolling her eyes. Alvina could be stubborn at times but she wouldn't place her mom's life in danger by going there even if she wanted to badly. Her mom is so overprotective of her, that one thing she knows for sure.

" I just hope she will come back soon" she muttered to herself

Alvina was getting more worried about her mom safety, luckily Luna was there reassuring her that everything will be fine

" Luna, I think something is not right. I can feel it" she was looking scared

" you are just overreacting, we have all been to wars. Remember we have been trying to defend ourselves from the vampires for so long. So chill everything will be fine"she said to her trying to comfort her.

Alvina fell asleep on Luna's laps, she was exhausted from waiting for her mom. Luna was just stroking her hair gently, even she was scared now that something might be wrong this time, though this wasn't their longest fight with the vampires, they have fought for days with vampires and she hasn't felt this way before. The sun was already raising from the east.

She looked at the girl sleeping on her legs

she noticed something unusual

"No, it's not happening " she said covering her mouth and sobbing silently.
