Sat(an)na's Letter

"Dear Satan,

I'm Dexter Jones, but I guess you already know that. Last year, you didn't respond to my letter. Father says its because you aren't real, but I don't believe that. I believe you exist, or how else did I receive the Rubix Cube you gave me before? Also, sorry about the Rubix Cube. Father broke it. I guess you probably know about that too.

Last week, father did it again. Mother says it was an accident, but I saw it. I know it wasn't, and I'm sure you know it too. So I want to send this letter to you once more, PLEASE GIVE ME ANOTHER FATHER! Or at the very least...make my current one better.

Thank you.

P.S. I had an nice old lady write ths so I dun't make ayn mistades like last teme. I dun't want u to misunderstaad.

Dexter Jones, age 8, proudly placed his number two pencil on the kitchen table with a satisfied grin. The letter was finished with his postscript, and he couldn't feel more satisfied. With this, no matter what, Santa would surely not misunderstand his words. For the past year, he's been a good boy, helped when he could, refused things excessively, and didn't hurt anyone physically at school.

If this didn't grant him his wish, then perhaps Santa didn't exist…

However, he refused to believe that. He had proof! When he thought of this, he looked at a piece of a rubix cube on the table. Two years ago, he obtained a full one. One year ago, his father smashed it into bits and burned it in the fireplace while he watched. This was the only piece he could salvage and it was now his symbol of hope.

He took the letter, placed it into an envelope, he wrote down the sender and recipient, but then he stopped himself. "S. A. N. T. A. Is that…" He opened the envelope and read the title, and realized that he spelled 'Santa' wrong! It was 'Satan.'

Facepalming, he realized the reason why Santa never showed up last year. He immediately corrected his mistake, looking at it again, "S. A. T. A. N. That's correct." He felt proud once more, placing the letter into the envelope and sealing it with an enthusiastic lick.

"Dex! Where are you, damn boy!" A gruff male voice resounded from the living room. Dexter shivered, looking at the living room, he could see the faint light emitting from the T.V. and smell of alcohol. He silently went out the back door, his small body fitting through the doggie door instead of opening it so no noise would be made.

He pictured the ninja that he sees all the time and tip-toed away from the house until he got a little bit away. Then, like a racecar given the go sign, he sprinted with a huff and puff. After running three blocks in the cold and snowy ground, did he finally see a blue metallic box that was wet and covered in snow. Luckily, the top bit where one puts their letters in was cleaned off by someone else, so he didn't need to. He quickly gripped the handle, pulled it open, and shoved his letter inside with gusto.

"Finally," Dexter breathed a sigh of relief. He ran back towards his room.

CRASH!

A sound of glass shattering caused Dexter to halt in his steps in fear.

"Boy! Where are you?!" That familiar voice filled with gruff resounded once more. Dexter clenched his teeth and fist. However, in the end, he relaxed them and walked into this home of his.

"I'm here."

-----------------------------

In a world with two suns, one violet and the other red, a grand black palace stood tall atop white clouds as if it had no foundation. Beneath this white cloud was a world filled with beautiful flowers, trees, clear water, and all types of species.

Within this grand inky, black palace, a scrawny demon with red skin, two horns atop his head, and bulging veins running throughout his entire body. He was running through the wide hall of the palace with every last ounce of power he could muster. He looked a little grotesque while doing so as black sweat dripped from his body onto the floor, causing the floor to sizzle as if acid was poured.

"Lord! Lord!" He barged into a hall with a panicky voice. The hall only had a single throne, and sitting in this throne was an exceptionally handsome male. His facial features could be called perfect with flawless skin, a good physique that wasn't too manly or too feminine, a smile that could cause all females of any race to skip several beats of their hearts, and flowing gold hair.

The most exquisite feature of him was a set of heavenly white wings, both of which were forty feet in size. They looked like they could touch the sky and carry the world itself.

"Lord!" The demon cried once more, causing the devilishly handsome man to chuckle.

"What is it, little one?" His voice was like the sound of heavenly horns, resounding in the world and causing all things to turn silent. The demon couldn't help but grow calm, its body straightening up and its breathing returning to normal.

"You have a letter." It presented a letter in its hand.

"Oh?" With a wave of his hand, the letter appeared as if it was always there, as if it was destined to be there all along. "This seems to be postmarked for...the north pole?" The man couldn't help but laugh a little at this.

"Yes, my lord! Ol' Saint Nick sent it, said it was meant for you." The demon nervously said, obviously since the man himself wanted it to be delivered, then he would do so even if it killed him.

"Oh? That ol' scammer of kids' dreams loves playing his games. Well…" He played with the letter a bit and then opened it, "Let's see what's inside, shall we?"

After a brief reading pause, his brows furrowed. "I see...haha! Good, I was looking for something to do." With a shake of his large white wings, he disappeared from this world.

DIIIIIIIIING!!

The doorbell of Dexter Jones home rang. When Dexter heard this, he rushed towards to see who it was. Opening the door, he spotted a flawlessly handsome male in a black suit and tie, his appearance was dashing and extraordinary. Within his hand was a Rubix Cube, and face carried a devilishly handsome smile with endless charm.

Dexter, bewildered by this man's arrival, asked curiously in his tender voice, "Who are you?"

For a short while, the handsome male didn't speak but stared at the boy with intrigue. When he did speak, he only said a short sentence with his charming smile, "I'm your new father."

"Thanks for reading. I hoped you liked this prompt. Perhaps this will inspire someone to make a true blue novel about this!"
