Missing Socks

Ever wondered where those missing socks go you never find back? One of the last examinations to rank up from the apprentice ninja role is to steal a sock out of the washing machine without a house member noticing. You are probably wondering, "NANI?!? I don't live in Weebland; there are no ninja's here, how come I still have missing socks?" You cannot be blamed to have those thoughts, after all, the Japanese ninjas are acknowledged as the biggest disgrace known to ninja-kind.

When heaven and earth got separated, seven brethren and sistren were blessed by the heavenly court to work in the shadows. The seven siblings spread amongst the globe each reigning over their continent. The names of the top three remain unknown, but the bottom four are known as, in their respective order, walkers of shadows, warriors of the night, Kunoichi and Shinobi.

At every super blood moon, the descendants are obligated to hold a meeting to discuss the continuation of their reign and to renew their blessing from the heavens. All went well until a couple of centuries ago. The clan head of the Kunoichi, who was in charge of Antarctica, was power driven and wanted to rule over a more influential continent. During the tribe meeting, she put forth her womanly charms to woo the clan head of the Shinobi. Not knowing their ancestors were twins they spent their night indulging in vigorous activity.

When word got out of this blasphemy, the Kunoichi and the Shinobi were banished. Unable to renew their heavenly blessing they were forced to train and work harder remain skilled. With the missing aptitude, however, they could never reach the same height once more. The Kunoichi are lucky as there are nearly no other lifeforms on Antarctica, the Shinobi, however, are less so. Their main base being in Japan causes them to be known among the public, sullying the reputation of the ninja and causing ordinary humans to make parodies of them using animated videos. Having become the laughingstock of their entire community, the Shinobi had no other choice than to leave the world.

Next time you lose a sock, you can be sure of one thing. It was not a Shinobi.
