Chaos, Freedom, Hope

I hate this system. Nearly everyday I'm forced to go to purgatory and suffer the torture of unpractical tests. Studying useless writing were the norm that sucked out the time and vitality of people I once saw as 'friends'.

I tried my hardest to rebel against this strict law and is now condemned. These blind people obviously can't see the hero that should overrule such obstinate fates. I am now ignored by the teachers, parents and 'friends'. Why do I even try?

The snow was obviously cold as it followed the calls of the wind before covering my house in white. Once in awhile I could hear the screaming and yelling from the across from me.

"What are we going to do? We have already gotten enough complaints from the school"

"Honey, please I just returned."

These lines went back and forth, climaxing the anger that was ready to reach the peak of frustration. Sometimes I hear the frequent banging of chairs, thrown about and the shattering of alcoholic beverages.

They just don't get my plan that just needs some time. Why can't they just wait? Alone I can't do much but with a stronger power then I can start making some moves.

I pulled out a scrapped up piece of paper with creases destroying the smooth surface. I used one of the pens I found across the dirty floors however some of the ink spilled over the paper.

I could only sigh at my situation however I tried my best to write over what I could do. The exact wording was:

[Dear Satan,

I want:

1. Kaos

2. Freedem

3. Hope]

This was the only power I needed if no one was willing to see past this resolution. My drifting thoughts about rebellion flashed however a voice interrupted.

"You spelled Santa wrong"

I could smell the reek of alcohol as I looked behind me to see my fa-... a man. His cold glare watched my every move along with the strong grip that held my shoulders. If Atlas could hold the world with his shoulders then this man could hold the world with his hand.

`Definitely 'accidentally'.' The thought quickly exited itself similar to how it entered.

Despite the cold glare there was flicker of confidence and proudness before resuming a monotone voice.

"Your mother is mad. Can you please try to fit in and stop being a nuisance."

In spite of those cruel words I could still see past his anger into the warmth of a father yet I could not still accept this. Before I could argue my consent he walked away without watching me change this 'accidental misspelling'.

I was forced to hand in this letter in secret and prayed for my wish to eventually come true. My favourite time was definitely sleep. I could let go of reality and drown under the clouds of dream that would follow my every call

---

"Oh, a letter"

The man in a dark grey hood picked up a letter. The ink was messily inscribed upon the paper but the man could not help but utter his surprise. He held a large scythe and a satchel that seemed to move time to time.

"I wonder if I might get a promotion. I want to get enough merits to reincarnate."

The man spoke weird words as he stepped upon thin air without a worry and drifted across the currents of wind. It may have been the night yet no one wondered or noticed an oddity as the man left.

The only trace one could find of the hooded man was absolutely nothing.

---

"That's strange"

A man in a strict formal attire held a piece of paper that did not befit his looks. The paper traversed time as rough corners were ripped and the ink was nearly rubbing off. The only oddity would have to be the two protruding horns on his head and the fire that would flicker once in a while.

"A letter, huh. Been a long time. ....Register 10 merit points."

The man kept his silence for a few moments as he flipped a token towards the hooded man who immediately caught it, kowtowed and rushed in a hurry. His loud echo could be heard from the distance.

"May the strings of fate pray for me." The man ignored the screaming and read the letter. [Dear Satan

I want: 1. Kaos 2. Freedem 3. Hope]

The man checked it once again and rubbed his eyes to make sure however nothing changed. Silence devoured his thoughts before he absent mindedly spoke his heart out.

"Is this a new language?"

Satan deciphered the mystical language and was able to analyse the words 'chaos and freedom' instead of these spelling mistakes. One thing was clear to Satan though, Hope.

The man snickered at such thoughts however felt a little intrigued and wondered about the misspelling of Santa however just accepted it. "I haven't gone out for a while, might as well." "Honey, I'm going out"

---

This damn sunlight. It interrupted my beauty sleep. I went around the house And as expected... no one was there. Nevermind I was fine with such a thing. I was about to get a cup of tea and some medicine but I heard a loud crash outside my house.

"What is it this time?"

A listless, irritated yell followed it and on christmas morning I witnessed a chariot and following it was a line of skeleton horses on fire.

"I need glasses"

I noted my first thought and reminded myself of it however a man came out of the chariot. Honestly it was quite astonishing with his fairly young looks and well endowed face.

It kind of reminded me of the men my mum would bring in when my dad was on his business trips. They would worriedly glare at me time to time however this man showed concern.

Not the concern my dad would hide, not the concern my mum would pretend to have or the concern my therapist. It was questioning yet an anxious look as he fidgeted with his short hair before asking me a question.

"You're the one who sent the letter, right?"

I scanned through my past but the only conclusion I came to was the letter I wrote late night, the letter for Satan. I found it impossible yet with the skeleton horses that shouldn't be moving as if they were alive or the never ending fire I had to accept the truth.

Dumbfoundedly I nodded my head and asked "Satan?" The man smiled before beckoning with his fingers "Hop on"

The man relaxed his position as he opened the chariot's door entering it before leaving it open for me. I felt a little bit excited as this was finally my chance to crush the system and renew it.

This was the one chance I built for myself so I can't mess up.

I crawled into the chariot tripping on a rock and accidentally grabbing onto the door of the chariot. I thought it was going to break with how frail and rusted it look but when I grabbed it it feel it was impossible for it to break.

It had quite a rough texture but not enough to cut my hand. I recovered from my stupor and was inside the chariot and looking at the interior it was opposite to what he saw on the outside.

The seats were smooth while coloured in cherry red with a divine aura. I had sense of arrogance looking at it but that may have been due to the medicine.

"I'm sure you know i'm Satan but please call me Hades, at least I sounded a little bit kinder there."

Without a care I impatiently enquired my desires in front of Hades

"Are you going to fulfill my wishlist?"

The man chuckled at my question but he released a devilish grin and two horns on his head.

"I haven't been out for a while. I apologize to Santa but i'm taking this one. My little brother may have gotten a bit full of himself, cheating on his wife what a fellow."

I listened to his stories a little longer but they went on about his younger brother. Oi quickly got tired of this as I fearlessly asked him about my wishes, forgetting his identity.

"My Letter?"

"Oh yeah. Don't worry I planned it all out, Devos"

Hades randomly yelled out a name but I could feel a faint movement of the chariot as I saw through the windows that were up in the air. To defy the teachings I have learnt shows the power that I desire.

With this I can challenge its might. I will finally be able to rebel and shed light on these brainless zombies. I looked back to Hades but he was nodding his head as it moved back in forth; going through reality and dream land.

He as so much power so why doesn't he do something about it? I didn't understand this point and still couldn't as I felt the chariot stop moving.

I exited the chariot and I saw a house. It was quite normal, nothing special about it but I heard a yawning behind me.

"Yaw- -, Finally here?"

He rubbed his eyes that focused on a drifting voice. He donned a cloak and held me closer to him. It was odd mainly due to the fact we were...WALKING THROUGH A WALL?

I have made it. I'm getting so close to my dreams.

"You wanted Chaos right? Here"

I was excited for what true chaos is so that I could later use it as a diversion of society but all I saw was a family. I felt a tinge of jealousy because they were gathered together. I wanted that. They didn't notice me but that didn't matter

I looked past that to see chaos but... all they did was put together a puzzle.

The puzzle pieces were very small and the family tried to swiftly place it together. It was very frequent to hear "Jimmy not there" "It goes here!" "Where's the other piece" I was subtly confused so I turned back to Hades as he smiled without a care "What is this" Hades pulled out a book out of nowhere and spoke

"Complete disorder or confusion. This is the definition and they are in confusion. 1 down 2 more to go. Hurry on child for we do not have time to waste if we are not haste."

He pushed me towards the chariot until I was told to wait for our next destination. With a great start I made sure to enquire the next thing on my list, freedom.

"What about Freedom?"

"Hmmm, you already have it."

"WHAT?!?!" I quickly exclaimed my surprise along with a hint of rage. I am shackled down by these rules and your telling me I have freedom. Even if you are Satan that doesn't mean you can lie so nonchalantly.

I dreaded for the next thing that happened and as I predicted he pulled out the damning book and spoke

"The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants. What you just spoke before was 'as one wants' while moving about in my chariot is the same."

My aspirations slowly dipped down to despair. It climbed up the steep hill of a line before suddenly dropping like the paper I saw my mum once held years ago.

Santa wouldn't accept my desire while Satan makes fun of it. This was the world I live in. What was the difference between Santa and a teacher or Satan and my classmates. They mock my failure, ridicule my attempts and look at my life with scorn.

This is why I hate everything.

"Oh do not fret. We still have yet to cross out your 'Hope'."

I didn't care anymore. What lies before me is more disappointment. I had enough of this. There's no point. I won't follow the system or go against it. I will make sure to not wake up to a tomorrow with a system. It was simple.

I thought medicine would make everything better but obviously not. I was not prepared for this. If I was then I would never write a letter with such disappointment laced in my future.

Hades suddenly dragged me out of the chariot and I watched someone very familiar to me. My father.

Dozens of paper were toppled upon his desk and the sounds of typing echoed in his cubicle. Everyone ignored his trouble as I could hear them complimenting a well suited man with a clear badge on his chest 'Director'.

Why? Why do you allow them to step all over you. Why don't you do something?

"This is hope, you may not notice it now but he is working hard for you to see this light. You may not appreciate it but he is still doing it. He has no choice. No one has a choice but they have to deal with it anyways."

I don't understand. I can't see. Everything is blurry as water flowed down my eyes dripping off my chin. I felt so weak. I collapsed onto the floor trying to hold onto the ground before passing out.

Maybe the darkness is the only trustworthy partner I have.

It was very odd and I contemplated about my life but i saw a piece of paper.

It had a mystical language that I couldn't understand but I just felt this sensation to write. Without knowing it I just signed a contract. What did I just sign myself up to?

---

"The deed's done. He got such a deal. I wish you would give me such a contract once in awhile, bro. He definitely got a killer bargain."

Hades rolled his eyes as he looked at the lofty yet shameless man before him.

"Poseidon if you can finally persuade our little player to stop being a playboy then maybe."

Snarkily Poseidon responded back like a viper "Like you can say much with your wife" "I just used some...tactics"

Hades hurried back home. He rushed through the door with a surprised voice questioning him.

"Your earlier than expec- "

The lady kept quiet as Hades wrapped an arm around the lady's back before proceeding to pull her closer into a hug.

"I vow to never make a family with a neglected child, a prideful father and a untrustworthy mother. That I will promise you for eternity."

---

I woke up, it was very warm and not too bad. I realized I was in the embrace of someone. I raised my head to see my father. The man who would never shed a tear and stand without worry in front of me was crying.

I realized an important factor. I only look at the outside. I was never able to conceive the internal problems. The system I hate was setup so that I could never beat it. That doesn't mean I can't be the best at it.

I won't allow such a god to cry in front of me once more. Such an unsightly look is something I never wish to see anymore.

"We won't talk about your mother anymore. You don't need to know."

I don't know why but the colours seemed a little bit brighter, the objects seemed a little bit livelier but mainly my future looked a little bit happier. I never expected this. I never will expect this. I never will reject my future.

I am ready to accept it.
