A Christmas Surprise

A melody is what we all hear everywhere when Christmas is on the porch. Samuel thought to himself that his list of gifts to Santa was tad bit short, ranging from a bike to every little wish an eleven year old could come up with.

Although Santa had mysterious ways of spreading happiness, the best thing he had ever achieved was to convince every little kid that he existed. Among the hopes and desires of the little kids on the Christmas eve, it was clearly accidental when one of the kids was unaware of the spelling of his name, and unknowingly addressed the letter to another interesting person, except it was the opposite.

Christmas arrived, and with that arrived joyous giggles all over the world. Even the cut-down trees were glowing in the faint morning dew and the birds of winter were happy too, on an unrelated note. Somewhere in the suburbs of the festive country, the Merry Christmas was nowhere to be heard; a house with painted tiles glistening under the thin layer of snow gave out a horrific aura that tainted the entire neighborhood.

'What in the world?'

'Lord, have mercy!'

'Jesus!'

A Christmas tree was wrecked in the doorway, while two human bodies, pierced in the middle of their torsos by Christmas candies, bludgeoned to death were found on the porch. Only living thing inside was a scream of an eleven year old, who woke up as excited but came out running in horror with the very letter he wrote the night before, except there was a little change in it.

Samuel trembling on the sight of the horror, checked the letter which read:

"Hi, this is Samuel, I know you remember me.

My parents won't buy me the latest video game or the bike, I want you to get me the latest console and a bike and some of the collectible playing card decks.

And also, I am up for surprises, if you have something planned for me too.

Christmas is the best.

Don't forget, please.

To Satan."

Samuel reread the letter in awe and saw that he had misspelled Santa for Satan.

He was trembling and crying altogether as he turned the letter over and read to his horrible surprise:

"Hope you like the surprise.

Hahahahaha."
