Chp 50 : Damion’s Perspective

"Siun... are you awake?" Silas said as he brushed his hand across Siun's forehead

"...I feel like throwing up" Siun groaned as he stumbled to sit himself up

"Here have some water son" He said as he handed him a canteen filled with water

"Lucas, are we near the main town yet? I fear Siun's illness will only worsen as time passes"

"Don't worry Ms. Elena, we should get there by tonight the saints are going to be hear until tomorrow night, we have time"

Lucas replies to Elena, then shifted his attention to Karter who was silently sitting at the back of the wagon. The death of Yael must of had affected him a lot considering he was best friends with Yael

Other than the awkwardness caused by Lucas and Jean, the pair that would usually fight and argue refused to talk or even come into close proximity with each other. The trip to the main town went smoothly and they have finally arrived.

"ugh... disgusting rats"

If you look around you could see numerous houses that seemed worn down and abandoned, and the muddy streets were all filled with carcasses of dead rats and rotting birds

"So much for being 'busy' doing their duties, these streets are filthy!" The voice came from a tall man with blonde hair, red eyes and black horns, it was Damion.

"Always sending me to do their little errands! While they neglect this town..."

Damion complained to himself as he strolled through the town, it was a demon town that was built near the Demon Lord's palace. The area around the Demon Lord's palace will always be nighttime which was made possible with Oona and Leona's powers. In this world Demons don't actually die when they come into contact with the sun they will just be in an excruciating pain that will be biting away at their insides.

"Young master Damion!" A little hand grabbed onto Damion's white sleeves making them dirty in the process

"...What is it Cal?" Damion said as he lifted his hand to lightly tousle the little boy's midnight black hair

Cal is a young demon who lived in the demon town, unlike Damion who was one of the demon disciples he did not look nearly as humanoid as he did, she had grey fur like the dying rats on the street and small rat ears and tails and her eyes were red, just like Damion's

"Did you bring us back more yummy stuff?"

"Oh yes I almost forgot" Damion said as he signaled his arms for the kangal dogs to bring in the deer meat he hunted last night

"Wow young master! there's so much!"

"Yes, though I could've gotten you guys some more I was busy completing my mission..." Damion said with a pained look on his face

"How is your family doing Cal?"

"...sadly not very well, since the days you have been gone there has been little to no other source of food and their bodies were already very weak so we're very grateful you gave us this meat! Actually, the whole village has been waiting for your return!"

"You haven't been getting food from him?!"

"yes young master..."

"WHAT IS THAT BASTARD DOING? HAS HE BEEN LAZING AROUND AGAIN?"

"N-no young master!"

"THEN WHAT IS IT CAL? HOW ARE YOU NOT MAD AT THAT BASTARD FOR CAUSING ALL THIS MESS, LOOK AT WHAT HE TURNED YOU INTO, YOU RESORTED TO EATING FILTHY RATS"

"It's really alright young master, I don't mind my rat-like appearance! I was just so hungry I couldn't help myself!"

"...Just... eat some of this deer, your appearance right now utterly disgusts me" Damion said with a disgusted look on his face as he handed him a small piece of deer meat

Cal quickly gobbled up the deer meat as his appearance started to change, his body started to morph and all his rat-like features started to transform into deer features. Cal now had a scut and little antler nubs started to appear on his forehead. It looked liked he had horns just like Damion but a lot smaller.

The strength and characteristics of a demon can be identified by their horns, but only those as strong as demon disciples and the Demon Lord can have them. Damion had thin fragile looking horns that resembled a deer's

[Damion : Yes, this appearance is much better... feeding them deer really is the best for my eyes]

He said as he caressed Cal's horns with one of his hand whilst caressing his own horns with the other
