Chp 40 : Corrupted Memories
"A-alright, just don't hurt him!.. As I was running through the forests something happened! and then when Lucas woke up he lost all of his memories, so I renamed him Jean!"
"Aishh what's with you and always leaving out the important details!"
"I really don't remember this time! You can even look into my memories! I swear I don't remember!"
Yael's request intrigued Damion... did she really not remember something as important as that?
He placed his palm on Yael's forehead and looked into her memory
[Damion : What's this?... corrupted memory?]
...
Back at the wagon
...
"Elena I'm going to go into the woods to check on Ms. Yael, she has been gone for a very long time" Jean said
"Jean, don't you think its too dangerous?.. we should all go together!"
Jean though of what to do for a second and he decided that Elena was right, they should all go. Not only Jean was not confidant in his ability to defeat a strong enemy by himself, he was also worried that what if the demon was to come attack the wagon while he was gone.
"Alright... lets all go together. I'll go wake up Silas and Karter"
Now that everyone was awake Jean decided on how they should go into the woods
"Silas and Elena you guys are in one group and the other group will be Me, Karter and Siun"
"Are you serious right now Jean! You are going to let those two go by themselves? They are going to get killed!" Karter said as he pointed to Elena and Silas
"Don't underestimate Elena, She is capable enough..." Even though that was what Jean said, deep down he was still a little worried.
"Anyways we need both you and me to protect Siun so I think the groups are well balanced"
After this Elena and Silas ran into the woods while Jean, Karter and Siun ran in the other direction. Jean was carrying Siun in his arms while Karter was leading the way
[Siun : This situation seems bad!]
[Tex : Unfortunately you are right, Yael might be in grave danger right now]
[Siun : I'm not talking about that!.. I think Jean is in love with Elena!]
[Tex : Is that seriously what you are worried about?!]
[Siun : I'm gonna ask him! This is the perfect opportunity!]
"Mr. Jean?.. Are you in love with my mother?" Siun asked innocently
Jean's eyes widened as he heard what the little boy said
"W-what?!.. little boy what are you saying?!"
"Do you love my mother?.. But she is already married to my father!"
Jean couldn't believe he was having this conversation with a 3 year old. "No! I don't love your mother in that kind of way!"
"Then what kind of way?"
"I-I love her in a way that you love her!... Like how a son loves their mother!" Jean said as he blushed, he can't believe he was admitting his feelings to Elena's own son.
[Siun : ...Is this GROWN man okay? And Elena is only a phew years older than him!]
[Tex : At least you don't have to worry about Elena leaving Silas...]

Elena and Silas ran through the woods trying to find traces of Yael
"Your royal highness! Are you there!" Silas yelled out as Elena was looking around
But Silas's voice was too loud that it alerted one of Damion's dogs, and it tried to pounce on Silas.
But thankfully Elena noticed in time and launched a seed arrow at it
"Uwahhh! Honey you saved me!"
"Are you okay Silas?! Are you hurt anywhere?" Elena said as she quickly rushed to Silas to make sure she didn't accidently hurt him
This couple were so in love with each other that they are able to act lovey dovey in this situation...
"Elena behind you!"
Silas yelled out in horror as he saw 2 more dogs behind Elena, but Elena wasn't scared, she swiftly took care of the dogs.
[Elena : Jean really is a good teacher! I'm so freaking strong, this is amazing!]
But Elena and Silas couldn't celebrate for long, as even more dogs started coming towards them

Back with Jean, Karter and Siun, there were unexpectantly no problems, they didn't see a single enemy
"Karter are you sure you think Ms. Yael went this way?"
