Chapter 52: Talk is Cheap

~Third POV~

In the distance of the Shie Hassaikai compound roof was where the members of Day Raid was there as the heroes Mirko, Hawks, and Lady Nagant got ready seeing that the opening act was done.

Silence followed next as they both stare at each other waiting to see who would make the first move. The heroes already tried to get ready to attack at a moment's notice as the three shinobi waited.

The nervousness of three was nerve-racking, to say the least, that not even Mirko the most rebellious in their group didn't try to rush things as Tatsumi glances around as he brings out something.

*SWOOSH*

It was that moment that Mirko went on the attack as she jumped into the air already getting into a mid-kick position as she was aiming for the arm as she thought seriously, 'Go for the arm what he has doesn't smell right at all. Whatever he got best to get rid of the problem – '

*Swoosh*

*Bam*

That was before Ruby managed to intercept her by bashing her away with her weapon as Miko didn't expect an attack with the weapon. She flinches that her foot was hurt by the mechanical scythe as she thought to herself, 'Shit that hurt! But I kicked away literal steel doors what the hell is that thing made of?'

Twirling herself back to the ground on her feet Tatsumi managed to get out his [Shambhala] as he began to activate it as the heroes soon saw a purple light of yin and yang first appear before everyone has suddenly vanished from the sight…

Reappearing once more the heroes managed to get themselves together as they have landed somewhere as Hawks eyes began to clear, "Ah! What the hell just… what in the world?"

Just as the heroes got their sights again, they were suddenly inside a separated space seeing everything of the lands upside down with waterfall sideways as everything inside this space was completely off and weird.

Lady Nagant already has her quirk [Rifle] at the ready as it began to protrude and retract a rifle gun from her right elbow. Kaina bends her elbow up so that her hand is to her shoulder and opens a cavity in her elbow, from which the rifle comes out. The rifle seems to be made out of organic matter.

She began to survey the area as she was having to admit amazed at what she was seeing with narrowed eyes with her voice in disbelief, "This boy is just… powerful to create or use a separate space itself to force us to come here? I can't tell what here even is anymore with everything looking so… off."

Hawks are also ready at this seeing that the situation just changed for them as he voices out his concern of their predicament, "Tch. Talk about scary letting these guys especially the boy walk around creating like this makes it all the more terrifying. If it's only a small place what's stopping it sucking up a whole city?"

Shivers ran down their spines at the idea but the possibility was there.

*SWOOSH*

Before they could react, they saw a gust of red petals going after one of them as they got ready to attack but before they could Hawks noticed that one of them was releasing fire at him that forced him to move away.

That was when a red petal gust was going after one of them.

Hawks seeing this saw where the person was standing from as he was shocked seeing the person breath out fire while sticking on the walls of a building at the distance as he talked to himself, "Well I'll be damned. They do stick on walls like real ninja's or is it because of your quirks?"

Hawks sees that one of the ninjas was sticking on the wall as Hinata was already doing the hand signs for a [Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu] as she releases another one towards his direction as he gets serious at her.

*Brr*

With the fireball easily missed Hawks used his wings to separate his features enabling him to harden them into a blade-like state and/or shoot them as projectiles, as well as control their speed and trajectory.

All of them are directed towards Hinata's direction as she ran away from his sights as he told saw the other two pro heroes suddenly left as he sighs at this, "Sigh… damn it I guess everyone got separated from this. Well, if they are picking their targets I might as well get mine then. Better to leave them alive for now until I can take care of them once I leave from this place what a drag."

With that, he began to follow where his enemy went.

Mirko saw the chance as she ran towards the gust of petals but that was before her senses kicked in as she narrowly avoided an arrow made of some kind of energy as she saw the boy again holding a bow and arrows.

Mirko senses the projectiles as she then saw the gut left as she furrows her eyes at this as she began to chase after him.

*Boom*

Using her incredible leg strength she jumps from her spot chasing down the guy inside some kind of forest as she grits her teeth at the scene feeling offended at the attack, "Ok wise guy just because I'm a rabbit with you having a fucking bow and arrow hidden somewhere in your ass as you hunt me just pisses me off!"

She began to go towards the direction as she managed to smell the air in the forest as she narrows her eyes at the person and she recognized some indistinct smell she was used to when she began her hero career.

The scent of blood.

But it was a lot though and not from him as she frowns at the smell thinking to herself in disgust, 'Tch. This guy has been trained to kill and as my job as a hero, I have to capture him. I don't care what he says killing is still bad no matter the reasons. Like my job and honor as a hero, I must capture this guy!'

As she observes her surroundings, she smells the scent of Tatsumi as she grins happily at where her eyes look towards as she thought to herself, 'There you are bastard!'

*Swoosh*

She quickly rushes in the direction as more arrows began to come out of nowhere from inside the forest as Mirko dodges them with her speed getting closer to the archer with each step she takes.

Just as her two allies left to take care of their targets leaving no choice Lady Nagant saw it coming for her as she readies her rifle and began to shoot a couple of rounds to the enemy facing her.

*Bang**Bang**Bang*

Shooting three rounds at the incoming rose petals she narrowed her eyes as they managed to curve away slightly as it was coming for her next. Just before it came she then shot at the ground but with increased the power input as the budge of her rifle grew as it shot the ground making a big burst of projectiles.

*Bang*

As she shot the ground the rocks that were hit from the ground were now in front of the rose petal gust as it forced Ruby to change back from her [Petal Burst] as Lady Nagant managed to swirl her rifle at her mid-section.

*Bam*

A hit connected forced the young huntress to the ground twirling a bit but not much in pain as Lady Nagant readies her rifle at her as she spoke to herself as she fired, "Not bad. But you need more practice to keep up."

*Bang**Bang**Bang*

*Bang**Bang**Bang*

*Bang**Bang**Bang*

Lady Nagant maintains her distance from her target as fires continuous bullets to keep the down Ruby at bay but…

*Swoosh*

That was when Ruby used her [Petal Burst] to get away from the scene leading her towards a rocky formation with large rock pillar formations as she narrows her eyes at this.

Reaching towards her utility belt she began to load special bullets to her organic rifle as she readies it in her direction carefully taking her breath in and out getting into her mentality of taking her alive.

While she was directed to kill the members of Day Raid there was no way for her to leave this place unless the boy releases them from the separate space she was in. The only choice was to take his friend's hostage or be drastic in the situation.

With those thoughts in her head, Lady Nagant began to track her down with her sniper scope up as talks to herself calmly, "I'll get you yet child. I'm the expert in shooting guns and trained to hunt villains."

Taking her steps carefully she observes the area with caution in her eyes as she moves towards around the place making sure to take cover. She clicks her teeth at the location as she comments of her observation, "Tch. The spots all over the area are too open. There're are few places to hide. And if the report is right…"

*Bang*

That was when a sniper shot was fired as it made clear as it made a noticeable crater of the bullet hole as Lady Nagant narrows her eyes at this.

But a smirk did escape her face at the challenge as she began to locate where the direction of where it came from with her scope as she took the challenge as she thinks to herself with some amusement, 'Really kid? Do you want this to be a sniper fight? I trained years in this environment for my hero career and I'm not about to lose today in my element.'

Aligning to her target as Ruby did the same the two began a rifle fight.

*Bang*

With that, each member began to fight their targets.
