Diaries Of Dark Entanglements: Balance and Power

Our story begins on a planet called Gieă in a Continent called 'Eclispe of the Oceans' where chaos slowly unfolds with its influence slowly spreading into the entire world. This is a slow-paced story that follows multiple characters shaped ruthlessly by desires and passion. A young dragon princess thirsty for acknowledgement, A prisoner breaking free from fate, A shadow who would die for his master, A light without a source and a question without an answer. Some fight for power, some fight to destroy, some fight to save, some fight for freedom, some fight for love, some fight for vengeance and some fight from duty. They all bleed, some of them fall, some grow and some lose sight of their purpose while consciously or unconsciously trying to find one thing,.. Balance. In a world riddled by chaos where 'good people and bad people' have been replaced by the terms 'winners or losers', where greed determines justice and vanity replaces passion, where energies conflicts, wars emerge and ruthlessness gets imprinted by experience into the hearts of even the most innocent and brave heroes. They stand for their desire and themselves with a riddle left unanswered from the very beginning of time,.. "What truly is balance?.." Follow our main characters through their dramatic struggles for answers as the choices they make influences themselves and their world. THIS IS A SLOW-PACED STORY AND THERE WOULDN'T BE LOTS OF ACTION SCENES AT THE BEGINNING BUT AS TIME PROGRESSES, SCENES LIKE THIS WOULD BE MORE COMMON. TRUST ME, THIS IS A STORY WORTH THE INVESTMENT OF READING!.

DAY ONE!..

"..She got invited", Eleanora says calmly as she washes off any irrelevant thought in her head only focusing on the present.

"Um..", Counsel Lea makes a confused sound urging her master to continue speaking on the matter.

"We got invited to the Entire segment of the treaty signings and negotiations between Continent 'Eclipse of the Oceans' and Continent 'Lothlòrien'(Land Of the Elven Kin)..", Eleanora informs her Counsel whose eyes widens slightly in surprise and shock.

At important event like this, only the Emperor, Empress as well as a few core members of the Imperial family are allowed. As a true Imperial princess, Seflim would soon hold the rights to also attend such events with her side of the family later on but right now,.. she's just twelve!.

Taking her to an event on the level of the dealings between two of the Seven Greats at her age is more than a bit rushed. One mistake in front of those massive people with Eagle sharp eyes at the gathering is going to do more than a bit of damage to her.

"No need to overthink, I said she's invited not she's attending.. the event is in three months, we have enough time to make our decision on it.", Eleanora says seeing the slight look of concern on her Counsel's face.

"The treaty and negotiations would go on for three long weeks.. Seflim would only need to attend a single event from it if for anything but to show her face. I'll attend the rest of the event under the guidance of Ambassador Salem. I plan to forge good bonds with foreign powers or atleast give a strong impression. The Empress obviously holds a lot of sway on the inside of the Continent so I plan to gain some from the outside, the conference's is the best starting point.".

"After the treaty is done, We would be off in a journey to find my daughter's shadow, with the advise I have been receiving it seems we can't push it back any longer. The journey of manually locating her shadow will probably take around a year so we need to be heavily prepared. I'll be busy with the treaty so I'll entrust the preparation of the journey to you..", Tamara says while her Counsel bows in acceptance of her new order.

...

     *Three Months Later..

*By a hill side In the Upper sector of the Outskirts of 'Eclipse of the Ocean' on Planet Gieă..- Navïælét's house.

It's been exactly one hundred days since Eleanora peacefully crossed to the other side and Navi is still in the process of finding peace with that.

There's no such thing as fully letting go of someone you hold dear but one can always find peace with the believe that they are in a better place or they are wacthing over you.

Navi's peace comes from choosing to believe that his mother is watching over him from wherever she is. Knowing she passed away peacefully and without regret brings another form of comfort but now,.. the time for mourning is now over.

     One hundred days.

Navi has selfishly given himself a hundred days to mourn his mother's demise from this world,..

Now that this time is up, another time begins. Its now time to shove down whatever feelings of loneliness, grief and darkness into an even darker corner of his mind.

His mother raised a wolf not a pup and stupidly wallowing in self-pity for eternity would only bring disappointment to her very soul.

Lying on the soft wooden bed is Navi's body with his eyes closed and his breathing even Navi knows that this morning would have to be different from the previous one. He isn't exactly asleep because he dared not sleep but he isn't exactly awake either so He is in a half-sleep and half-awake state.

His body needs sleep but his mind cannot handle the strain of his dreams and so he has subconsciously begun to lay down on this resting state. It isn't half as good as sleeping but it's better than always being awake as the lack of sleep is taking a serious toll on his mind and body.

A stone on the bed-side table beside his bed gives a small buzz prompting him to open his eyes almost immediately. He shifts off the blanket over his body before calmly making his way to the bathroom to take a bath. He performs the actions too robotically for someone who was lying down as he does them without even stretching or yarning.

With icy-cold water over his skin an evident to his rushed bath and a towel wrapped around his waist, Navi finds himself staring at his mirror's reflection once more.

Although still handsome, he looks even sh*ttier that he's used to seeing. His dark circles has gotten a shade deeper, his skin is as pale as ever and his eyes were reddened from sleep deficiency. The only thing that remained the same is his wet ink black hair.

Navi lazily sweeps a few messy strands back as he walks out of the bathroom to dress. His routine for the last hundred days have been to sit at his mother's grave, force himself to eat however little for continued survival, hug the blanket with her familiar scent and repeat. Sometimes he throws a bath in the mix in order to prevent his mother from seeing his pathetic state.

But all that is over now because today is no longer 'One day' but 'Day one'. With this thoughts in mind, he walks to the cabinet and pulls out a specific set of clothes his mother has gotten for him.

A white set of robes with a circular mandarin collar with an almost completely plain design. Cut to be almost perfectly fitted to his growing body with sleeves that stop over his wrist.

The clothing's over his fore-arm were plated with a bit of cream coloured flexible metal and so were the areas of his knee and some areas of his back and torso.

Light, flexible and tough. It is a full set of training armour. Navi has never worn it before and so it took over an hour to squeeze his frame into its tight and sleek embrace. His set of white combat boots were tightened over his legs, a tough open finger glove that only fully covers his thumb is fastened only on his right hand and his messy hair swept back into some style.

Fully dressed up, Navi moves towards the only full body mirror in the house to check himself out. His face furrows in barely noticeable amusement as he notices the complete change in his aura.

He looks more fierce and the contract between his ink-black hair and his sharp white robes highlights his entire face even more. His gaze looks deeper, his frame looks bigger and he even feels stronger.

After taking in his visuals, Navi walks up to a specific brown wooden cabinet which he calmly pulls open for his last Necessities. In the cabinet he finds a pair of shadow daggers in their respective brown leather sheath.

*Shing*, An sharp but almost silent hum of the first dagger being pulled slightly out of its sheath tickles Navi's ears. For some odd reasons the hum of the dagger feels oddly familiar his mind even seems to miss the sound of the blade.

Looking downwards, Navi checks out his twelfth birthday day gift which is also the last birthday gift he got from his mother.

He swallows a little and re-sheath's the sharp and reflective blade while knowing exactly why his mother chose the weapon for the last gift from her to him.
