A dumbfounded and weak-kneed Mekhi sat back on his couch, a bit sad that the night had ended abruptly.
Sacha was welcome to stay, even if she did not want to go further. He would respect that. That is what he wanted to say the moment she had gotten up.
But he was lost for words. The realization that Sacha was leaving had momentarily paralyzed him.
And Goddess, he had not even mentioned to her once how divine she tasted.
Regardless, Mekhi was still overjoyed because, in one night, he had gotten further than he had done in years.
Meanwhile, by the lake, Zayne and Leandra splashed around, enjoying the surprisingly warm water. They swam laps under the moonlit sky, chasing each other, teasing, and simply having fun!
Zayne could not recall the last time he had let loose like this. He couldn't remember the last time he was this carefree and relaxed.
