Life of a Devourer

{3 person POV:}

Corpses. Corpses as far as the eye can see on the small island. As if by magic all the corpses were arranged from weakest to strongest starting from the outer coming to the interior, even if the creatures are already dead they exeuded a terrifying aura. All the corpses had 1 thing in common and that was that their heart and head were missing, if one looked closely they would find that their hearts had been crudely ripped out by a hand that was much smaller than the creatures.

*ROARRRRrrrrr.... * A dreadful roar of a powerful beast that contains immense sadness and hopelessness sounded out from the middle of the island. A Dragon, a beast that is said to be the king of the skies has fallen and now lies on the island with completely dead eyes. On top of the dragon is a man, the man has long black and white hair that blends so perfectly it just feels natural to anyone that sees him, he is tall and lean with compact muscles that just scream power. His unique orange and purple eyes stare at the fallen dragon that he stands upon. Even though he is not the most handsome his sharp jawline and indifferent expression exudes a certain charm to all types of women. The man's body is now littered with scars and even though they don't look life threatening, it scares anyone that is not a warrior and makes everyone think about what he has gone through.

{ MC POV:}

"Ahh, this stupid dragon just had to hang onto it's pride and refuse to let me eat from the life tree that is supposed to increase someone's life span by 50% of their original. *Sigh* Lucel, pull up my new status." A I say those words a blue screen pops up in front of me.

Power levels are not 100% accurate that is because all living creatures have the ability to go beyond their limit when their life is in danger, that is why Dragon and Whitebeard are in second place. Even though Kaido has a high defense, it does not represent his battle power. Charlotte has the ability of souls which greatly influences her ranking and earns a higher place than Mihawk who has a higher battle power. There are many other strong beings but these are the current strongest but since this universe is still growing, people are constantly getting stronger and rankings will change often.]

"If i choose to devour the ability of the fruit and not the fruit itself, what would happen? <Tristan>

"Okay, that is just perfect because now I can have their ability without affecting the person themselves, *laugh menacingly* now I can get Kuzans and Trafalgars ability without harming them, this is just PERFECT!!. Anyway could you teleport the clone to me wants he convinces Robin to trust Luffy and the crew, I will just stay here in the meantime, oh and put a teleport marker on luffy's crew so I can take care of Enel once they beat him up, this is the perfect plan, just following the M.C and people will be lining themselves up to get beaten by him and I will just get all their abilities and I will be training on my own, this is such a good idea, I really am the best, whoops can't be getting to overconfident otherwise I will just end up like those stepping stone characters."<Tristan>

"FINALLY!!!!!" I screamed like a madman because luffy finally beat up Enel and this means I can devour that sorry excuse of a 'god'.

"Teleport me Lucel". As soon as I say that, a white flash appears and as soon as I open my eyes I am now facing a different scene, in front of me is the Straw Hat crew that is exhausted after fighting Enel, I quickly move to where Enel is without alerting anyone. What lies before my eyes is no longer the proud man that wielded the 'strongest' devil fruit but rather a broken and dying weakling, his arrogance caused his downfall and as all things go, the strong devour the weak. I walked up to him, he sees me and tries to struggle but I am not one to like to mock my opponents in a battle because only 2 type people do that and that is the arrogant or the truly strong and since I am neither of the 2, I end his life quickly and eat his heart and brain, it is the first time I have done this to a human but I feel nothing about the cannibalistic act I just committed and it finally dawned on me, this is no longer a happy go lucky life but rather a life where I will do this thing very often. I am no longer the 'boy' who had everything given to me but rather the Man that will TAKE EVERYTHING I DESIRE. THAT IS THE PATH I CHOSE WHEN I SAID I WANTED THIS ABILITY AND THIS IS THE PATH I WILL USE TO BECOME THE ABSOLUTE SUPREME.
