GOOSE CHASE

Skyler watched as her figure exited the door.

He continued to stare at the door for a few minutes as if waiting for something.

He then grabbed his keys and exited the door. He watched as Aliya's car left the parking lot. His gaze focussed on the moving car as it exited the parking lot.

He strode to his own car and then followed Aliya's car that was speeding through the highway.

In a dark ally a figure walked with steady footsteps and eyes that were filled with emptiness.

Her intimidating aura brought shivers to the spine of the onlookers as she walked in one of the most dangerous part of the city.

Aliya didn't spare a glance at anyone as she made her way to an old door. The door seemed to be suffering from weather conditions and it looked like no one was living inside.

But Aliya could see that the lights were on and she could here some noise inside.

Without knocking Aliya opened the door and entered the abandoned house. Her eyes were sharp as they looked at the furnitures that seemed to be old and unkept. They were spiderwebs on some of the wooden objects and dust.

Aliya walked pass the living room and made her way to a door.

'Knock'

A pair of eyes looked at her and asked.

"Password?" The voice asked.

"Password" Aliya answered all the while still with her cold expression as she looked directly into the pair of eyes.

The door made a clink sound and then it was opened and the sound of loud music echoed in her ears as she made her way to the bar table.

Aliya looked around and her eyes caught sight of people both men and women, business men and young girls dressed in tiny clothes. The whole place was crowded and one could get lost if they were not careful.

This was one of those bars that were hidden from the public. The kind that rich men come to hide and drink and also have fun with women.

The whole place reeked of alcohol which one would notice if they were not paying attention to the loud music.

Aliya sat down on a stool without bothering to spare a glance at the people around her as they didn't mean anything.

"What can I get you?" The bartender asked in an unfriendly manner.

Aliya didn't answer and instead waved her hand in a way that the bartender understood and left her.

Aliya sat on the stool as her eyes focussed on the glass cups. She looked at her hand and then she began to tap her fingers on the desk like she was timing something. Her fingers made gentle taps on the table that can't be heard if one were to focus on the loud music.

"Hello Miss" A voice rang in her ear and instinctively her hands stopped tapping as she raised her head.

Aliya looked at the man in front of her and stared at the man with no expression on her face.

The man who seemed to not mind her expressionless face with a smile asked.

"So tell me, what's a fine lady like you doing here?"The voice asked again and Aliya felt the itch to snap his neck.

She could see as his eyes scanned her assets and Aliya tried as much as possible to not pluck his eyes out.

"Tell me about Bishop" Aliya said as her eyes focussed intently on the man trying to catch the least of his expression.

Skyler drove with speed hus gaze never leaving Aliya's car that was on the highway.

He followed the car till it stopped at a park. Sorry had a confused look when the car halted in front of a park. He then parked his car a little distance away from hers and watched.

Skyler watched as the person inside came out Skyler's face changed to one of the rage as he saw the person that was inside the car. His whole face was clouded in rage as he got down from the car.

He walked towards the man who was by the side of Aliya's car. His eyes were filled with menace as he walked towards him.

"Where is she?" He asked the man who seem to have a mocking smile on his face as he stared at him.

"I don't know" The man replied nonchalantly.

Skyler who was on the edge of his self control grabbed the man's collar and then pushed his back against the car.

"Last chance" He said with a serious threat in his voice as he looked at Lim.

Lim who was totally enjoying this like on Skyler's face kept his mouth shut. He had just got down from his car when he saw Aliya, she had given him her keys and told him to drive around, the reason, he didn't know but he was sure that Skyler had something to do with it.

"Easy there, you don't want it do something you will regret now do you?" Lim said with his mocking smile on his lips that seem to anger Skyler more.

Skyler pushed him harder to the car as he grabbed his neck.

Looking at him right now Lim could tell that this was no man or human, he was a monster who would do anything to get what he wanted.

"She.....she didn't...tell me...She just...climbed her bike...and zoomed off." Lim said as he struggled to freeze his neck from the monsters hold.

Skyler who seemed to have regain his senses released his hand and without turning back he left the park and walked back to his car.

He matched the accelerator and sped through the road. Luckily he had put a tracker on Aliya's phone just in case she decided to run again. He couldn't believe that he had been on a wild goose chase for an hour now.

His face darkened at the thought that Aliya had tricked him. And the worst of it all was that she got help from a man and not just any man.

When he had gotten her exact location his brows furrowed as he wondered what she was doing there.
