Chapter 70: Going out with a Bang

[Unsealing in 10...9...]

"Oh you gotta be kidding me." Zenkichi muttered, standing up properly with a grim expression. 'System, get me out of here. Now!'

[World Travel is currently unavailable.]

"What? Why?!"

[User has to personally invite a native in this world to the Group Chat to unlock World Travel.]

"Isn't Brunhilde already a member of it?!"

[She is. But I invited her, through a random selection, and you did not.]

"How is that–"

[5...4...]

"Oh my god, you are so–!" Zenkichi gritted his teeth, frustrated at the system's idiocy. Left with no choice, he turned around, grabbing Brunhilde's waist, he disappeared in a flash.

Everyone was surprised. Why was Zenkichi acting so weird?

No one was more surprised than Göll, who took a step back with a surprised yelp as Zenkichi and Brunhilde appeared before her.

"Zenkichi Hitoyoshi? Brunhilde nee-sama? What's–"

"No time Göll," Zenkichi cut her off and pulled up the system and pressed 'invite' to the girl in front of him. "just accept the invitation that I'm sending you."

"Invitation?" Göll asked, tilting her head. Only to hear a beep from her tablet and saw an invitation to some group chat.

"I'll explain later. I–ugh!" Zenkichi groaned, clutching his chest as a wave of pain washed over him. He felt so awful that he was starting to fall over, fortunately Brunhilde was beside him and caught him.

[Unsealing Bloodline; Divine Authority and Demon Bloodline has begun running amok in your body.]

"Zenkichi Hitoyoshi?!" Göll gasped.

"Zenkichi?! What's wrong? Your body..." Brunhilde started observing his body when a sudden overwhelming heat began emitting from his body, causing her to frown in confusion.

'What's going on? D-Did Odin did something before his death? Fuck!' She pursed her lips. 'Knowing the old bastard, it's highly possible.'

Zenkichi struggled to stay conscious, gritting his teeth against the pain that tore through his body. He could feel his bloodline powers conflicting with each other once more, his Schrift started acting up as well in retaliation to his Demon Bloodline.

He never really thought about it, the thought of fighting a God took priority after all, but now that was over the question he suppressed in his mind finally surfaced — how the fuck did he get a Demon Bloodline?!

Ah, shit. It all make sense now! Although he doesn't want to insult his mother, but with her appearance and attitude similar to a child; his father could be of two things.

A creepy pervert or a demon of sin. By the looks of it, he was the latter! A literal one at that!

As Zenkichi was struggling to keep his bloodline in control and the two Valkyries were trying to help him, there was a sudden surge of divine energy and it was concentrated at their direction!

"Zenkichi!" As a Valkyrie that was both human and God, both Brunhilde and Göll obviously noticed the impressive surge of divine energy being pointed at them. Without any hesitation, Brunhilde Völundred with Zenkichi once more.

'Huh? Zenkichi you–!' Brunhilde hurriedly shook her head. Although she has a lot of questions, saving her friend took priority.

Since he was unable to control his body, Brunhilde took temporary control and conjured a fifteen layered shield just in time to block a gigantic wave of black flames that was spewed towards them. The flames clashed against the shield, releasing blistering heat and chaotic energy.

"W-What the..." Göll fell on her cute butt, her eyes wide in disbelief. She felt like her whole life flashed before her eyes!

"What's the meaning of this," Brunhilde's astral projection appeared over Zenkichi's body, her arms crossed and face serious. Several more divine energy exploded out into the sky as a overwhelming presence took to the sky. "Lady Amaterasu?"

"....Valkyrie," Floating in the sky above them was a beautiful woman. With incredibly pale skin, long flowing black hair, and eyes that shone like the sun, she exuded an aura of immense power. She wore a regal white yukata that seemed to emit a gentle radiance, further emphasizing her divine presence.

The Goddess of the Sun, the Chief God of Takamagahara. The Shinto Mythology.

Everyone else on the audience stands below evacuated as the Gods took the skies, their divine power and authority radiating immensely.

Amaterasu's divine aura radiated the most power and authority, and she looked down at Brunhilde with a mix of curiosity and disdain.

"You dare interfere in the affairs of the heavens," Lady Amaterasu's voice rumbled like thunder. "This mortal is a threat not only to the balance between gods but also to all the Heavenly Realms."

"As Odin's wayward daughter, I shall give you one chance to hand over that mortal to my hands."

"And if I don't?"

Numerous figures, numbering in the hundred at least, flashed behind Amaterasu. Her eyes gleamed with her divine light and a hint of malice.

"Then I shall strike you down alongside that abomination with divine punishment."

Brunhilde's eyes narrowed while Zenkichi gritted his teeth, enduring the pain he raised his head towards a frightened Göll and mouthed: "Accept. The. Invitation!"

Göll blinked. Looking down at the tablet, she complied and accepted the invitation.

[Ding! Welcome to the Multiversal Chat Group!]

[Little Valkyrie is Online. Give her a warm welcome everyone!]

'H-Huh...?'

While Göll stared at her tablet in a mix of confusion and shock, Zenkichi stared at his system with a mixture of relief and determination.

[Group Travel now unlocked.]

Zenkichi smirked despite the pain coursing through his body. "Finally."

'System, is it an instantaneous transmission back to my homeworld?'

[Yes. However, if there's anyone 3 feet around you they would be transported alongside with you.]

'Huh? I know I'm going to regret this but, is there any consequences when bringing someone back with me?'

[It depends on their status. If the one who had came with you was an enemy, it would trigger a Subjugation Quest. And if one was your friend or is neutral towards you, they would receive a World Blessing Quest so their presence would be stable in another world.]

'...Huh. Pretty simple enough. I thought it'd be something unreasonable or something,' Shaking his head, Zenkichi raised his head towards the Shinto Gods.

As he opened his mouth to say something, someone else interjected.

*Boom!*

A bolt of lightning struck down upon the Sun Goddess, with narrowed eyes, she waved her dainty hand and a large circular mirror appeared to block the lightning bolt.

"....What is the meaning of this," Amaterasu coldly glared at the muscular man with his long flowing hair, his large hammer held firmly over his shoulder.

"God of Thunder, Thor?!"

"Don't be mistaken, Japan's Sun Goddess. I did not interfere for the mortal who bested my father." Thor nonchalantly said, his face expressionless.

"Then why?"

"Isn't it obvious? You said it yourself," Crackles of electricity surged around his body, causing his long red hair to stand on end.

"Brunhilde's the wayward daughter of Odin, the Chief God of the Norse Pantheon. That makes her my sister by blood. And as her brother, it is my duty to protect her and the mortal she cares for."

Amaterasu's eyes narrowed, her divine authority surged and black fiery flames engulfed her. "Thor, do you intend to go to war with Takamagahara?"

"You tell me," Thor's lips curled. "is Takamagahara prepared to go to war with Asgard?" As he said that, Loki and Heimdall appeared in a flash on each of his side.

Amaterasu's eyes narrowed.

"....I knew it. You just want to fight the Shinto Gods." Brunhilde said, tone flat.

Zenkichi watched on with confusion.

'What? Why the hell are they taking our side when we killed Odin?'

'Who knows. Lord Thor and Loki had always been unpredictable. Maybe they just enjoy chaos. As for Heimdall... I don't know. He was always the most loyal person to Odin.' Brunhilde replied.

Zenkichi shook his head, feeling a mix of relief and gratitude towards Thor and the others.

'Brunhilde, could you undo your Völundr?'

'Huh? Why?'

'It's because–' Zenkichi's eyes went wide. Both of his eyes turned completely dark blue, as two dark horns began to slowly emerge from his forehead, a long forked tail slithered out.

His demonic transformation had activated. And one God noticed this with great shock.

'No. No, no, no! Impossible! This feeling,' Beelzebub, the Lord of the Flies, rushed out of his lab with cold sweat on his face. Veins popped on his temple and neck, the tattoo on where his heart was started beating aggressively. 'Satan... Satan is crying out....? No, he is awakening?! What's going on?'

'That boy, who is he?!'

But the Divine Authority coursing throughout Zenkichi's body didn't take too kindly to the surge of Demonic Power.

Blue flames filled with Divine Energy erupted from Zenkichi's body, engulfing his entire body and Brunhilde's Völundr form with it.

Now, the Gods noticed the sudden unknown spike of both Divine Energy and Demonic Power coming from Zenkichi and they were dumbfounded.

Especially that mix of Divine Energy, its exuberant fiery energy felt all too familiar to some Gods in the colesseum. Those from the Shinto immediately recognized it and they turned towards their leader with an astonished expression.

"...I see, I understand why you wanted to kill that boy." Thor muttered.

Amaterasu snorted. "Hmph. You finally understand it now? Good. And here I thought it would have taken my brother Susanoo or Tsukuyomi to force you all back. Now, get out of my way–!?"

Thor raised his large hammer, generating more electricity around himself and his weapon, he turned to face the Goddess.

"Though I understand, that just makes it more reasonable for me to stop you from killing him."

"Huh?!" Amaterasu and her posse were completely dumbfounded. Was this fellow really just want to pick a fight with them?

Thor narrowed his eyes, "I should be the one to say that to you. Just because you bore a demigod from some kind of half-human and half-monster, doesn't make it justifiable for you to kill him!"

'Though I don't really care, I just want some excuse to hit you without Balder or mother getting on my ass.' Thor inwardly thought, not noticing the extreme reaction everyone had when they heard his declaration.

The entire arena went silent. Both Gods and Humans, even Zenkichi, who was enduring intense pain, turned to stare at Thor.

'What?'

'Pfft–! Thor! You fucking genius!!' Loki stifled his laughter, he hunch over to try and contain the growing laughter in his gut.

The silence was so deafening, it was to the point that even a pin drop would be clearly heard.

Every God and Human then turned towards a rigid Amaterasu who had an agape mouth, completely dumbfounded of what she heard from the God of Thunder.

'T-This, this fucking imbecile!' Veins popped on Amaterasu's forehead. Her black flames swirled much more stronger around her.

While everyone was in stunned disbelief, Zenkichi was slowly getting ahold of himself and started containing the rampaging energies in his body; by separating them on each side of his body. A spur of the moment idea.

His left side would contain his demonic bloodline, while his right would contain his divine energy. And while spiritual power and mana would become the wall to separate the two opposite powers.

And mind you, this was incredibly hard to do. So far, he had barely kept both energies from interacting by using spiritual power as a wall, and I emphasized on the 'barely'.

If he were to get into a battle, the two opposing energies would start rampaging against each other and it would lead to his death–!

'Ah, wait a minute. That's it!!' Zenkichi felt a eureka moment.

He knew how to deal with his problem while simultaneously leaving this world with a bang.

This world's humanity needs as much advantage against the Gods, right? Well then...

But first, he needed to ask Brunhilde something.

'Brunhilde...'

'Zenkichi? Zenkichi?! Are you finally getting your condition under control?'

'Not... exactly. Listen, I'm going to leave this world now and you're going to get transported alongside with me if you keep on your Völundr form.'

'...' There was a brief moment of silence.

'Brunhilde?'

'Do it.' Brunhilde replied with a low voice.

'What?! Brunhilde, you are needed here. In your world. Are you actually confident to let your little sister, Göll, to led the rest of your sisters and Humanity to victory?'

'Nope. Not in the least.' She replied with no hesitation, leaving Zenkichi stunned. 'But I can just chat with her, didn't you invite her on the group chat?'

'I did..but...!'

'So it's fine. Don't be surprised. When I undergo Völundr with you, my life and death is eternally tied to you. So long as you battle for the sake of Humanity's survival, whether it be in this world or another, I would stay by your side.'

"..." Zenkichi let out a sigh. 'Fine, you crazy Valkyrie.'

Brunhilde smirked, leaning her astral body behind Zenkichi's head. 'Considering we're fighting Gods, I'd say you're crazy as well.'

"Well, not gonna deny that." Zenkichi groaned as he started walking forward, catching everyone's attention. He stared straight at Amaterasu's eyes, who started to feel a uneasy feeling.

It was made worse when he said those words, furthering the misunderstanding that Thor had created. All Gods and Humans alike started murmuring, their gazes at the Goddess's back.

A pair of dark bat-like wings sprang out of Zenkichi's back, and not the energy construct he had when using Vollständig.

With a flap, he flew towards the Gods, flying passed Thor, he faced Amaterasu and her people with a determined expression.

While everyone confused at what he was doing, Zenkichi then opened his mouth and loudly said,

"Mother, I've come to bargain!"

Again, it brought silence to the entire arena.

'...Really?' Brunhilde's said with a flat tone.

'Oh, you've seen the movie?' Zenkichi inwardly chuckled as he replied.

'Yes, yes I've seen the movie.'

While the two were having a mental talk, Amaterasu snapped.

"....Brat," The black flames that had been surrounding her immediately started converging as she raised her right hand. It took on the form of a huge black flaming snake that was as large as the Eiffel Tower, hissing realistically behind her as the rest of her people immediately retreated from the overwhelming heat that was emitted from the flaming snake.

Unfortunately, one of them wasn't able to escape in time and a small blak ember caught onto his sleeve.

If it were any normal flame, they would've immediately put it out easily. But not Amaterasu's flames, as it was the flames of the sun. As long as the big shining star remained in the sky, her flames would forever burn and could not be put out unless Amaterasu herself wills it to be.

However, despite the cries of her subordinates, Amaterasu was so furious that she didn't hear their plea.

In the end, that unfortunate God was soon burned to cinders and ash. Horrifying everyone that was watching, some couldn't take it and started hurling to the side.

Zenkichi's previous calm expression turned grim at the sight of the unknown dead God.

Some wanted to try and help him, or at least take his body out so he could have a proper burial, but the flaming snake's heat was so intense that space began distorting around the arena, making it almost impossible for anyone to move. The people who had run off were lucky to escape on time.

"Die!" Amaterasu coldy said, unhesitatingly commanding the flaming snake to attack Zenkichi. The snake lunged forward, its jaws wide open, ready to consume him.

But Zenkichi wasn't going down without a fight. He dispersed the spiritual power and mana in body, letting his demonic bloodline and divine authority surging through his body. The two energies clashed violently, creating a swirling storm of power around him.

The energies sipped out of his back and created a large energy construct, which resembled a smiling demon. Terrifying the Gods and Humans around.

'System, activate World Travel as soon as I'm resurrected!'

[Understood, user.]

With a swing of his arm, Zenkichi unleashed a powerful blast of energy towards the flaming snake. Blue and red circuit-like lines spread across his body, and the sound of shattering was heard. His body, was on the brink of collapse.

The two forces collided, causing a massive explosion that shook the entire arena.

"N-No! Impossible!! Brother, save me!" Amaterasu cried out, and the sky darkened, followed with a bellowing crack of thunder and flashes of lightning.

Unfortunately however, it was all too late.

Amaterasu, her flaming snake and some of her people who were still near to give support were completely obliterated, leaving nothing but remnants of ash in its wake. The shockwave sent everyone flying back, creating a large crater in the ground.

As the dust settled, there was a moment of silence. Zenkichi lay on the ground, his body charred and broken. Seemingly dead.

But most knew that he was alive.

"Mortal!!" A powerful voice boomed from the sky and a bolt of lightning flashed towards the battered Zenkichi.

But it was soon intercepted by a large flying hammer, sending it flying towards a wall in the arena.

"Damn you!!" From the debris and dust, a handsome man with long black hair and blue eyes, wore white warrior clothes, and flew out while wielding a long katana that was brimming with powerful blue lightning.

Susanoo, God of the Storm. With a wave of his hand, he commanded water and lightning as a wall to halt the norse Gods and the other human fighters that were rushing in to stop him.

Unfortunately however, just as he was five feet away from his target, true to its word, with a blue flash of light, the System activated World Travel, transporting Zenkichi and Brunhilde back to his home world.
