Explanations about the powers

-Minor Shadow Extraction:

It has a sub ability called dark possession; their shadows can merge with animals of roughly the same size and take complete control of the body. At the current moment in history, the MC already has control over all the messenger crows in the Valley, that is, he has control over all the information that enters and leaves the Valley.

-Contract Magic:

The MC cannot randomly force someone to sign a disadvantageous contract. He has more freedom in this if the person in question has already sworn allegiance to him, like the lords of the Vale. The MC cannot force them to be his slaves and obey all his orders, but he can demand confidentiality of their secrets among other things.

-Patent Magic:

The main reason I introduced this magic was because of your technological inventions; specifically firearms. With that he has a monopoly on their production (there will be no theft and reverse engineering plot in this fic) and only people authorized by the MC can use them.

- Perfect memory:

I put this in so the MC doesn't need to be an engineer or a genius. With that the guy basically just needed to have been an avid reader, and that would explain how he knows how to do so many things.

-Superior Body Defensive:

I could have just given him the Super Soldier Serum, but I didn't want to specify the strength of the MC, as he probably won't use this strength, as the biggest threats to him would be the white walker's (you just need a good marksman and the right bullets) and the dragons (been killed by scorpions, what do you think a rifle or cannon would do to them?)

-Superior Protection:

This is mainly to avoid Bloodraven with their green vision, and any other type of magic they might use to 'see', take away information, or mentally affect the MC.
