By dawn, Artys was already awake and hard at work overseeing the construction of the mines. He acted like a true superintendent, giving orders left and right. The wreckage was quickly removed and support beams were placed to prevent a collapse. This is how Artys spent all his time during the first week after his arrival. He personally went to the mining pits to inspect the progress several times a day at regular intervals.

Lord Uthor had visited the mines several times during the week and was impressed by Artys' progress. If things went according to plan, Artys could complete the project sooner than expected. Everything went according to plan, that is, until three days after the start of the second week of the project. One afternoon, Artys had to 'solve' a random guy, sent by his brother to lure him alone into the mines.

Soon Artys' work in the mines was done, so he returned to Runestone.

Artys' exploits progressed wonderfully; by this time, the fields in the vicinity of the city of Runestone were fully irrigated, his chemical laboratory was up and running, and he began to produce various things within it. Although he still didn't have a dedicated team of chemists to work full-time in chemistry, he was able to work on a few small projects when he found the time. Its textile factory was fully built. Runestone's workforce grew very quickly after irrigation was implemented, which allowed Artys to open a separate production line for agricultural equipment like steel plow, combine, seeder, etc. On the other hand, his army was recruiting; they barely had enough time to equip their soldiers properly.

Lately, Artys had also been drawing up plans in his spare time to turn Runestone into a functioning city; it was a distant dream at this point, but he intended to make it a reality.
