Cean paced round his office, he was sure he made the right decision concerning the Lunas position, past history showed that the spot has lost its true meaning, it was meant to be the place of assistance, love, support and reservoir. Reservoir because a lunar is the strength and weakness of the alpha, it was not disclosed by the bloodline of alphas that in rare cases alphas can draw strength from the lunar. He really craved for his mate and was jealous of his friend Timron, but the betas position was nothing compared to the weight of the alpha.

He knew instantly when his mate started walking down the corridor to his office, her aura was intoxicating, her heart beat was fast, she was scared. He smiled because yes, the females are meant to fear and respect the males.

He heard a low knock, he sat down before he said “come in”.

Looking at her now, her beauty was just something else. She came in and bowed low, her face was as if she was fighting hands pushing her down and tears was in her eyes, she was blinking rapidly to prevent it from falling, and was trying to say something pointing at him, he stood and was about going to her to know what the problem is, he was genuinely concerned, but the moment he took a step towards her, her eyes widened with fear, then he understood what was happening , his presence was affecting her.

He pulled power from around her inside him, he could not believe he almost hurt her. The moment he did that she looked at him with anger.

“What is wrong with you?” She shouted “can’t you wait till tomorrow evening to kill me”. Rowen was mad, she was shaking, about to blow a circuit and the idiot had the guts to smile.

“It was done unintentionally and was not meant to cause harm, you will accept my apology”.

Rowen could not believe what she was hearing, she was just ordered to accept and apology, he really got to be kidding her, but she will indulge him, she just wants to go to bed and forget everything. Being this close to him was making her crave what she can’t have.

“You sent for me alpha”

“You came with your parent and two other guys, who are they and why were they touching you that way?”

“I can’t believe what happening now, you called me here just to ask me that stupid question?”. She shouted, “and here I was having an anxiety attack, but at the ending of the day you just want to know who was holding me?”. She was so angry that she wanted to hit him hard.

“You don’t have to believe it, you just have to answer the question, and mind you I don’t repeat myself, so answer the damn question”. He said calmly

The atmosphere changed, Rowen did not need anyone to tell her that the alpha was angry, he did not even raise his voice an inch, it was as if he was having a normal conversation with her.

“ I said they were my brothers”

“Unnecessary touch or even looking at another male” he continued as if she did not interrupt him. “And mind you, I don’t kid or play around, if you want their death on your conscience then be my guest, am done here, you can go back to your room and prepare for tomorrows challenge and I will give you a tip, your first challenger is lethal”.

Rowen turned and stomped out of the room, she will not let that idiot see her cry, but instead of going to her room, she went for a run, she did not change to her wolf, she sensed the spirit being in her was also tired, everyone says that the moon goddess does not mistake, so what is her own case called.

After a brief run, she took her bath, applied an oil she saw there, sat down on the floor crossed her leg as her father taught her and began to meditate.
